Is anyone interested in Talkshoe?

Just wondering cause not many show up.

Though I haven't at all of them.

It's a wonderful experience to actually talk with each other.

You know instead of typing.

It has brought those who participated to a better understanding of each other imo.

There has been a great lack of involvement compared to the number of people here.

I would love to hear and interact with more people.

Any ideas or comments?

I know time is a factor and doing things we all need to get done.

I just think it's a great way to learn from each other.

You can use a Mic and speakers if you separate them far enough apart to prevent feedback.

Best is to use a headset with a mic, but we need you either way.

Skype is another way to conference chat live, and a few do, me included.

In fact you can call into talkshoe with skype.

It's charge for calling any thing other then another skype user is $30 a year including long distance.

Unlimited calling.

There's other plans too like per call basis, having an account that is per minute.

And for talkshoe you can call from your home phone also, lots of people have free long distance with their land lines.

Would love to see us get together more.

But not pushing ya, just suggesting...............

Maybe a different time or day..i don't know......

Sorry to hear that Dot, but you can listen without speakers.

It's pretty cool imo.

Though there are other podcasts types this one also has a chat feature built in, so you can speak too.

In other words without speakers one can still participate.

cman, I've never heard of that... is it on this site or on another site? Sounds like a lot of fun.

Got me to thinking how I think it costs me nothing to make a conference call evenings or weekends with my cell. I'd have to check. But I could see you and me and Wrds and Abi (yadayada) getting together by phone some time.

Have you listened to some of the phone conversations Paw has put up on GS radio?

I enjoy talkshoe most of the time.

There have been days when I could not participate...but it was because life does tend to catch up with me at times.

this may only work through talkshoe-not sure yet

there was no download for shoephone itself

but for me it appears on the talkshoe interface.

Oh and Dot, you can use your telephone to call into a broadcast or episode when it's live.

I am interested but my problem has been that I forget when they are scheduled (even when they are set for a regular time each week) -- it just always seems to be when I'm not at home!

I do still want to join in, though.

I'll make a bigger effort. It will be my New Year's Resolution.
