To boldly go where no man has gone before

Star Trek

New One:

By your command

I can hear that phrase with the buzzy electronics, clear as day. (Well, the buzzing isn't clear, but you know..)

"BATTLESTAR GALACTICA."

I think everyone that watched the show can hear that strange voice.

I also always see the red light going back and forth across the cylon foreheads (for lack of a better term).

You're up.

How do you simulate flight?

You lie down on a table with a blurring background behind you and the audience just has to go with it.

I remember one particular episode where an evil scientist had made special coins that made their holders invisible. Superman obtained one and used it. Blurring background, whooshing sound, but no Superman. What a great special effect. Of course this is the same show that used a Hoover vacuumn cleaner with a funnel stuck on the end as an alien ray gun. And after the first season, Perry, Lois, Clark, and Jimmy always wore the same outfits, so that stock footage could be inserted anywhere! Times were simpler, then. :)

A Quinn Martin production, featuring a lot of Italian characters

The is my best guess since the Feds in this TV series were battling the Mafia...

The Untouchables?

That's it. In the 70's there was a short-lived series called "The Montefuscos." It was jokingly described in TV Guide as the first show about Italians since "The Untouchables."

I saw "The Montefuscos" and immediately thought of Joey Buttafuoco and his star-crossed lover, Amy Fisher.

Funny how the mind works.

Secret Agent Man on "The Island."

People thought that this show was perhaps a sequel to "Secret Agent," as it starred the same actor, this time trapped on an island. Much like the Johnny Rivers song, they gave him a number and took away his name. :)

For me "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" gave it away - it was powerful TV as only Rod Serling can do it.

Then I recognized "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" as the episode with Will Shatner on a plane - scary and creepy that one is.

You are now entering The Twilight Zone.

Who will be voted off tonight?

Survivor

My question: Who will win One World? Kim looks good for it, but after the big blind side last night and voting Kitty

Kat off, who really knows.

The truth is out there.

That's it. Cute show. As it was cancelled after a few episodes, the loose ends were tied up in an X-Files episode called "Jump the Shark."

You're up, WW.

Soap operas started in the early 50's. I know a few have been cancelled in recent years, but I'm going to go with "General Hospital."
