Rick was a large man. He was on submarines with me, in Groton. Then he went up to the Shipyard in Kittery Maine. I visited him up there and he was in a twig where he was the only male. I recall that I had never seen one of those before.
Last I knew he had married a staff corps girl, he himself having been in the 23rd wc. That was somewhere in the area of the fall of 1995. Thought they were going to remain on staff, but not sure.
As I recall there waw a Rick Walton, large navy guy in 23rd and a Fred Brown in 22nd. Tall slim guy. I'm certain there was'nt a Rick Brown in 23rd.(:-/

I knew him from '77 - '82, or so.
He was a close dear friend.

I have known 2 Rick Brown's in my TWI lifetime. One a guy who sang and played guitar in Ohio, in Fellow Laborers in 1977-78.
The other was Galen's friend I think. Big dude, Navy, former submariner. Knew him in SC.
Wish I knew where either one of them was. I'm stymied I'm afraid.

Rick Brown is alive and well. :)
He is the current limb Coordinator for the state of Maine.
I had a long talk with him on the phone :)
