I can "hear" a solo male voice singing this, and even get most of the melody, but I can't think of the singer or title.

George

If you're hearing "Sully" Sullenberger in your head, he wasn't the singer.       This song was not on the soundtrack of any Harry Potter movie, either.

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

"Never been awake.
Never seen a day break.
Leaning on my pillow in the morning.
Lazy day in bed.
Music in my head.
Crazy music playing in the morning

light."

"I love a sunny day.
Dream of far away.
Dreaming on my pillow in the morning.
Never been awake.
Never seen a day break.
Leaning on my pillow in the morning

light."

"Never believe it's not so."

I know that last line is a verse from ~Magic~ a 1970's song but the rest of the lyrics isn't the same.

If you were correct about the title, do you know who the artist of that song would be?

(It would STILL not be "Sully" Sullenberger.)

A short name something like ~Pilot~.  That can't be the title can it?

Congratulations, Human, you correctly named the song title-  "Magic"-  and the song artist- "Pilot."

I'm going to post another.  I'm changing boats upstream.  Not that familiar song.

So sad, so sad
Sometimes she feels so sad
Alone in her apartment she'd dwell
Till the man of her dreams come to break the spell
Ah, stay, don't stand her up
And he comes and he stays but he leaves the next day
So sad
Sometimes she feels so sad

Every day she takes a morning bath she wets her hair
Wraps a towel around her as she's heading for the bedroom chair

Slipping into stockings, stepping into shoes
Dipping in the pocket of her raincoat  Whoa whoa whoa

Di Di Di Di Di Di Di

This was the first single released by this Beatle in question after their breakup.

Every day she takes a morning bath she wets her hair
Wraps a towel around her as she's heading for the bedroom chair
It's just [
song title]
Slipping into stockings, stepping into shoes
Dipping in the pocket of her raincoat
It's just [
song title]
At the office where the papers grow she takes a break
Drinks another coffee and she finds it hard to stay awake
It's just [

Di di di di di di di, it's just [song title]
Di di di di di di di, it's just [

So sad, so sad
Sometimes she feels so sad
Alone in her apartment she'd dwell
Till the man of her dreams come to break the spell
Ah, stay, don't stand her up
And he comes and he stays but he leaves the next day
So sad
Sometimes she feels so sad
As she posts another letter to the sound of five
People gather 'round her and she finds it hard to stay alive
It's just [song title]
Di di di di di di di, it's just [song title]
Di di di di di di di, it's just [song title]
So sad, so sad

And he comes and he stays but he leaves the next day
So sad
Sometimes she feels so sad
Every day she takes a morning bath she wets her hair
Wraps a towel around her as she's heading for the bedroom chair
Cherish just [

"Another Day" by Paul & Wings?

George

Didn't I say yes to this post [last week]?????   Yes, yes,yes ,yes, yes.  The song John mocked Paul in was "How Do You Sleep" on his Imagine album.  Referring back to their Beatle days John says,  "The only thing you done was "Yesterday"   And since you're gone you're just "Another day".  They were butting heads at that time.

Nibbling on bacon
Chewing on cheese
Sam says to Suzie
Honey, would you please be my Mrs
Suzie says yes with her kisses

Now, he's tickling her fancy
Rubbing her toes
Muzzle to muzzle
Now anything goes as they wriggle
Sue starts to giggle

I would not have recognized it to save my life.   If I've ever heard it, I was a small child and it didn't register.   I don't think I heard it even then.

For that matter, this one isn't ringing any bells, either.

Fleeting but I'm not getting it George.  Must be something like early 70's or late 60's right? And BTW, George have you ever heard the song "Another Day" or do you remember it or for that matter WordWolf?

I had heard it.  Some of the lines I could "hear" in my head.

The current song is from the early 70's.
