Here about a couple of weeks ago I found a computer (complete).

I was checking it out to see if it worked, and when i oppened the CD drive, to my amazment I found an Original Microsoft Office XP 2002 version Small Buisness disk in the drive.

Only one problem with it tho. it doesn't have the CD key number.

Would anyone know of a way to get a key number for the program??? icon_confused.gif:confused:--> icon_confused.gif:confused:-->

Especially if it doesn't cost a small fortune for it.

Thanks.

Paw is right.

Microsoft, despite their fascist product activation BS, is surprisingly cooperative if you have your story straight when you call in. I had *no* problems installing Win 2003 Enterprise, a very expensive piece of software, on another machine when I told them I was testing it on the first machine I activated it on. They happily gave me a new activation code.

Years ago, they sent me a new Microsoft Office CD for about $5.00. I told them (the truth) that my floppies had become unreadable. No verification, no nothing.
