  2. Seriously, does it matter? There might have been two, there might have been four, and - since the Romans liked a spectacle - there might have been dozens, or even hundreds. And the record simply notes those who were, in effect, in easy earshot. Pictures suggest that the uprights of crosses were maybe 6 or 7 feet apart. That's a maybe. They could have been only two or three feet apart. How far could a dying man's voice project?
  3. Ok let me try again: Right track. Right station. Wrong train and departure time. It is not a "Thor" movie.
  4. I'm thinking, "Thor: Ragnarok." George
  5. How about "Thor- Dark World" (Thor 2)???
  6. Yesterday
  7. Right track. Right train. Wrong departure time.
  8. I'm pretty sure this is a Thor movie. I'm also seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy involved. Thor, Love and Thunder? George
  9. Right track, wrong train. Huge hint in my last post.
  10. Guaranteed you've seen it, almost guarantee multiple times. A limited number of times, for sure, but multiple. "All my life I dreamed of a day, a moment, when you got what you deserved. And I was always so disappointed."
  11. Kindergarten Cop ("I have such a headache!" "Maybe it's a tumor." "It's NOT a tumah!") "So forget any ideas you've got about lost cities, exotic travel, and digging up the world. We do not follow maps to buried treasure, and "X" never, ever marks the spot." George
  12. Last week
  13. Obscurish lines from a not at all obscure movie. "That's a made-up word!" "All words are made up." *** "Well, he's never fought me." "Yeah, he has." "Well, he's never fought me twice." *** "It'll kill you." "Only if I die." "Yes. That's what 'kill you' means."
  14. Jew and Gentile now to be one body in Christ. The great mystery revealed which is the new and everlasting covenant; Christ in you (all of you both individually and collectively), the hope of glory.
  15. What was that movie I liked him in? Oh, yeah. P C U Jon Favreau Iron Man 2
  16. OK, I have another movie. This movie is from a famous director, and is a famous movie in its own right. The script was based on a novel, and the English translation of the novel's title is "Cold Sweat- From Among the Dead." This movie is largely set in and around San Francisco (California.) This movie had an alternate ending. As was common at the time, the European censors were appeased by an ending that made sure no villain got away. (It can be seen as a deleted scene in the Collector's Edition.) Two of the main characters are safe, and a radio announcement tells of the arrest of the mastermind behind the crime. It has been said that you need to see this movie at least twice to get it- once to focus on the plot, and once to focus on the characters and themes and so on. One criticism of this movie is the pacing- it suffers from a lack of explosions, fist fights, and flash, and the first half APPEARS to have little happening in it- the first time you see the movie. But if you trust that the movie earned its reputation and the director did as well, you can stick with it and observe the movie transform while you watch. Martin Scorcese raved about this movie. Among his comments- "As is the case with all great films, truly great films, no matter how much has been said and written about them, the dialogue about it will always continue." "In fact, it just stands alone - period. For such a personal work with such a uniquely disturbing vision of the world to come out of the studio system when it did was not just unusual - it was nearly unthinkable." He also praised the "astonishing" title sequence and the "tragically beautiful score." One of the main characters is seen early in the movie, in a high-rise apartment. It is his friend's apartment, not his own, and he is visiting. Otherwise, we'd have a rather curious question to pose to the character or the director.
  17. I'm surprised it took this long, too. You are correct. George
  18. Because “pre-trib” contradicts Christ’s revelation of the mystery, subscribing to “pre-trib” creates spiritual blinders—blindsiding those who believe the “pre-trib” dogma—leaving them unable to see the totality of the mystery: Christ’s terminology. In His Resurrected Body, Christ said: Luke 24:44 “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms concerning Me.” Why is Christ directing His followers to look at the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms? What did Christ reveal after His Resurrection and Ascension—about the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms—that was not revealed prior to the Crucifixion? What did Paul say about the “prophetic scriptures”? Romans 16:25-27 Now to Him who has power to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret for long ages past, but now is revealed by the prophetic Scriptures according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all the Gentiles for the obedience of faith, to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Why did Christ—from the right hand of God—direct His apostles to quote the prophets’ prophecies from Acts to Revelation? If you can answer this question, you will open the door to the revelation of the mystery—from Acts to Revelation. Peace. revvel
  19. Sorry, I thought this was answered by now. These are from Die Hard With A Vengeance.
  20. "Master-craftsman" A craftsman knows how (H-O-W) to MAKE it fit. Square peg, round whole? No problem. Once the craftsman is done shaving off those angles, that peg will fit perfectly, because it is no longer a square peg. Someone here once said four crucified is just an illustration of how it all fits together. Mathematically. Scientifically. Like a hand in a glove. It is an illustration alright. If you don't like what the text plainly says, because it doesn't conform your presuppositions, you can just change how the text interprets itself and, voila! It now says whatever you need it to say.
