Roy, one thing I'll say.. unless somebody has a big change of heart, you won't find something like tha in der vey's bookstore.. :) So many points you bring up are acts of kindness.

What I wonder.. did he get the "dope" from a legitimate doctor, or psychiatrist? Or was it more like the "Memphis Mob".. where they gave him enough to keep him going.. while those around him ran the show? I know, a lot of people need the medicine.. but there are others who use it merely to quiet the conscience..

Yep.. maybe that's the price someone pays to be in a government position. Participate in some kind of hellish "lottery", where someone dies or worse once in a while for a failed system.. live a few years in luxury, and pray nothing goes wrong..

It's no excuse, I agree. It's just the new economics.. economics with no morality, no conscious. I think it is in the secular relm what twi became in the religious relm. Anyone or anything is up for sacrifice to protect the corporations bottom line.. Personally, I think China has a plan. How better to destroy us, than to give "us" exactly what we want.. freedom to pollute and plunder, no or unenforced regulations... corporations are moving en masse over there. Yeah.. it's cheap labor, no regulations to deal with, at least now. Wait for the real cost. I really think it is a trap. Wait twenty, thirty years.. see how some world court slaps these industrialists silly. Can you imagine the cost of cleaning that mess up? What about restitution for what this crap is doing to the health of the Chinese people? The third generation of one chemical corporation here is now paying for the "sins" of the first generation.

I don't think the system in place in China is broken as such.. just it never worked to begin with..

One thing about respect.. if you don't expect it, you can't be disappointed..

Ahhh.. the "wailers". I knew a "man".. couldn't understand much. All he could understand though: 1. He lost his house. 2. He lost all of the possessions in his house. 3. His wife "hated" him. 4. The whole world hated him.. 5. I don't deserve it and lastly 6. Life is so unfair, I wish I would die.. The "reality" of the matter? 1. He toked enough cocaine to sink a ship. 2. He couldn't stay out of any other woman's pants if his life depended on it. 3. He physically and verbally abused his wife. 4. God only knows what else, more than what he chose to reveal publically, despite himself.. people do tend to tell the best thing about themselves.. Oh yes, the woman initiated the divorce. Wonder why? This guy still can't figure it out.. no kidding. Maybe Brothers has a point.. I've seen the same kind of cluelessness in many others..

Honestly.. to take over the "hive".. you have to smell like the "queen". I think the "man" rolled in vic's remains.. even his writings smell like the vicster..
