Letter from John Lynn
Ham replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Honestly, I don't see 23 pages of venting here. I can't speak for everybody, but I think we got pretty much what we expected- a self-righteous, pontificating, self-serving (if not personally, at least as the organization is concerned) five page "letter"- and now won't see him for dust. Along with one last jab- "I'm so great, buy my book". Its EXACTLY what I expected. what a waste of time.. -

OMG.. Turned it into a daggone advertisement. Can't say I didn't see it coming. Yeah, "have real questions, read my book". How sad. I think the organization is cooked.. -

CES is in a Mess...
Ham replied to Captain Crunch's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
Priceless, Socks.. true, it may or may not be.. but it is a catchy label, is it not? The similarity between CES and its "papa" are rather striking, though. They took TWI dogma- the "keys", administrations, holy spirit stuff, JCING, and more- and purified it seven times: a few tweaks, a few "refinements", and what do you have? A product that is nearly as exciting and new as watching eggs boil. Perhaps the personal prophecy thingy was supposed to give some pizzazz and charisma to yet one more drab and lifeless organization. -
Some legal "upstart" might consider playing the devil's advocate, and sue for copyright infringement.. Sorry, I feel just so bad this morning..

Didn't the vicster claim he'd go "to the devil's heel" for truth, or some such nonsense? I wonder if that qualifies as "strange people" vic went to for info.. "Plagiarize the devil"...

All the while he is wearing the Superman suit of personal prophecy and "unquestionable" biblical scholarship, who can sincerely question him, if they buy into his kind of error? Even with all his practical failures, they still kept him around, sold his material, worshipped the ground he walked on. The "doctrine" is above question, in their minds, above recrimination. Sound familiar? Its the same cult. -
Well.. an EIGHTEEN pound turkey, a real big ham, green been casserole, lots of other fixings, no prime rib however. Can we have some of yours Johnny?

I warned him, "Buckster, you really shouldn't mix wine, beer AND half a dozen Cosmopolitans". But would he listen, noooooo. He lost a movie contract with Disney over this little escapade. -

BOWTWI, I think you can purchase the classes, tapes and all, to use as you see fit. I think that is a good departure from TWI's long-standing closed corporation methods. You can listen to them at your own leisure. Some people have run the classes publically, and allow genuine discussion of the material. But if you like straight chairs, you will have to string them yourself. :)

Just wonder: how can you trust someone who is dead, unless you believe the dead are alive; that would set his writings on their ear, wouldn't it? It may sound scary, but why not find your own path? The God that created the heavens and earth certainly is big enough to keep you from being jumped by devils. I think settling for someone else's second hand, one size fits all destiny is hardly what this life was cut out to be; settling for "apostle" vics dogma is like scratching at crumbs, when a person has the bread of Life "available" to them.

I have a feeling that the one side spoken of won't LET us have a definitive judgement. Maybe he thinks the default judgement will be more merciful. -

I for one wouldn't dream of impugning the integrity of the Captain. Just sold heavily sugared cereal with gooseberries. Now if you wanta fault him for the development of caries in the young and innocent, that's another matter. He never raped, stole, committed adultrery, maligned brethren or worse. Too bad I can't say that for a lot of christian "ministers". -
Rhino, my real name produced "Angel Death" Muuuuwahahahahahha...

Say what you will about his "Doctorate".. He didn't have a real shabby master's degree. By the time you got a master's, even in the forties, you'd have at least a LITTLE experience in research and documentation, I would think. But looking at his "work"- I'd say a high school english student does a better job at it. If he knew better, if he was so smart- why in God's name didn't he do it right? There aren't very many options to answer that question.
