  1. maybe friend. You haven't acquired the taste for this, yet.. sorry, I'm a scientist. Other words, I was sent to observe.. but I can't help but to get involved here.. call it a curse. I'm still back in the lab in the 5th grade, trying to figure it all out.. the key here. Is to look the vomit, right in the face, and still be at peace.. You have to do that if you have very, very young children.. sometimes older ones, like too much inebriated Squirrels.. a super-duper overcoat helps here..
  2. Every day, is a winding road..

  3. well.. there are no coincidences here.. here is what I think they fashion themselves after.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Harm%27s_Way a nutcase, who chases some "enemy" to the end of the earth, only to lose the game.. the movie has mixed reviews..
  4. the message. That was post number 51. the end of it. Thank you.
  5. Mr. rocky, or whoever has the "emperor"'s ear, please deliver da message. Thank you.
  6. that's why I don't quote it often, here.. pretty sad. A possessed, unbelieving squirrel has more regard for it than you.. junior, you are a dick.
  7. it must be.. the war mentality.. why are you at war, with those of your own kind, to begin with? "because gramps told me so"? don't even think of bringing the bible into this here.. you are contaminating the holy, with the profane..
  8. so far, 9 out of 16 had a bad experience. Or a negative one (non-positive) I mean, that is over fifty percent.. we could get more statistically precise here. What was your experience, the first hitch, the second, etc.. but generally, it seems hitchhiking is not a safe place to be. why put *your* people in harms way? I mean.. I suppose sometimes, in a war, somebody has to assume that role.. but a church camp? And you want your "flock(?)" to walk into the mouth of the enemy.. at CHURCH? Yeah, it seems they will do it.. haven't they already done that, all year long? You know. Praising your name, da greatness of da word.. isn't this supposed to be the time for rest, reflection, re-fueling.. improvement? Gramps had more morals than you. And they were few.. we had a few moments of rest .. well, at least some of us, not all.. one week in August in Ohio.
  9. It might be easy to "photoshop" a politically correct, or close photo. Just take the ole photos, of c**lar, rosie, etc. Remove some hair, and add some in the appropriate spots. You know, ear hair, nasal hair, etc. I dunno. Might be a hard request. I imagine cameras, digital and otherwise, and cell-phones with cameras are verboten at way ceremonies..
  10. I hope the cold and harshness does not appear on our shores.. the church I went to this morning with the grandchildren for an Easter egg hunt.. they asked.. "how many of you are not members of this church.." and about 3/4 or more of the group raised their hands.. and the fellow welcomed those who were not members of this particular home church.. I'm sure there is coldness and hardness now on our soil, but I haven't seen it here, yet..
  11. Sounds like a pretty cold, harsh place in Scotland..
  12. that would solve all of the problems, wouldn't it.. heal those who have no resources for health insurance.. feed 5,000 unemployed with one loaf of bread. And a few fish. forgive the government thugs, of either political persuasion. Just tell them don't extort for a living.. I can't paint all organizations with a broad brush, as having violated these tenets.. one of my offspring contributes to a food bank, and some international program. Makes sure people have a sufficient nutritional diet, where the organization can function in the world.. the thing here is.. Christians in the united states have for the most part risen to the challenge.. tried to help the poor and neglected here and in the world.. it just seems the world would be a colder, harsher place if we as a country were reduced to poverty.. I dunno.
  13. very interesting, isn't it?
  14. who says devils don't have rest..
  15. the devil resides in the pulpit.. maybe Bullinger was right.. it's a comfy chair, a comfy home..
  16. so far in the poll.. fifty percent had a negative experience hitching. how can they still justify, in a "christian" group".. hitch-hiking? As a requirement in the "program"? some may question.. you're damned right. subjecting followers to some definite chance of a negative experience.. in my opinion, is no less than tempting God himself.. "sure. you're such a great believer. go right ahead. "angels" will protect you. Or the "magic" of "believing"".. "sure.. you can BELIEVE to 'do it'.." in whose mouth do these words belong? If you believe the bible.. the only logical conclusion one might reasonably come up with is.. the *sowers* program, is run by the devil.. I'd like to think better. But they fashion themselves after gramps madness..
  17. but.. maybe, just maybe.. the seed will take root.. the "greatness" will appear once again.. there is always somebody who knows a hell of a lot more than me. I just hope he isn't a Dick. The last one, who crossed my path will qualify. God Bless you friend, and congratulations on the award..
  18. I am dealing with those, who know a hell of a lot more than I do.. Mississippi sunset.. heh..
  19. so SOMEBODY loves me.. why I don't know.. it was their choice.. no, they speak the language of mathematics.. maybe that is the tongues of angels.. I dunno..
  20. I've looked into that extent of darkness.. It takes more than *me*.. the non-english speaking coordinator of this curriculum.. "if you really are going to finish this, we must support you.." so I have a few advocates here. Despite the fact that my GPA is 2.99. And officially, it is supposed to be 3.0. maybe I have more friends, than I thought I had.. The mind-blowing part. They are non-English(primarily) speaking..
  21. Pathetic.. I'd rather end in failure, in a bid for a masters degree in mathematics..
  22. I am unemployable, today. Mainly because of age. I'm fifty four.. who wants to provide some kind of reasonable health care package... well. considering I've managed on myself to manage type II diabetes on my own dime.. the last two blood tests show that I have numbers that would indicate that I don't even have the disease.. A1C reading was five. that is the lowest reading one can have. typical for non-diabetics. two times in a row.. at about six month intervals. even with my indulgence with red wine at times. That is my only sin here.. so there is no significant danger to damage to my heart, kidneys, etc..
  23. I mean.. "mogness" needs management, does it not? gawdam managers.. self serving sycophants.. that is the polite greek euphemism.. old, unemploid(able)..
  24. It's too "negative" for da little itty bitty boy of gawd. Others digest the posts.. I mean, *they* don't want him distracted, or anything, do they? Yeah, history will repeat itself..
  25. I was the only "adviser" from the old organization that had a different message other than "go for it.. fella.." I won't say only. the only one I am aware of.. I'm sure there were others.. Catcup.. maybe a few others.. but what the hell am *I*, anyway. My wow brother had a name for me once.. and the last rational conversation I had with him.. "don't let anybody talk you out of it.." weird..
