    Sounds like spring garlic and it's great in salads or stir fry. One of the cool things about garlic is that you can use the whole plant, root hairs, flowerettes leaves and all somewhere in your recipies.
  2. And some more :)--> Coming back to life Where were you when I was burned and broken While the days slipped by from my window watching Where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless Because the things you say and the things you do surround me While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words dying to believe in what you heard I was staring straight into the shining sun Lost in thought and lost in time While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted Outside the rain fell dark and slow While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime I took a heavenly ride through our silence I knew the moment had arrived For killing the past and coming back to life I took a heavenly ride trough our silence I knew the waiting had begin And headed straight... into the shining sun
  3. Her love rains down on me easy as the breeze I listen to her breathing it sounds like the waves on the sea I was thinking all about her, burning with rage and desire We were spinning into darkness; the earth was on fire She could take it back, she will take it back some day So I spy on her, I lie to her, I make promises I cannot keep Then I hear her laughter rising, rising from the deep And I make her prove her love for me. I take all that I can take. And I push her to the limit to see if she will break She will take it back, she could take it back some day Now I heave seen the warnings, screaming from all sides It's easy to ignore them and God knows I've tried All of this temptation, it turned my faith to lies Until I couldn't see the danger or hear the rising tide She can take it back, she will take it back some day She can take it back, she will take it back some day She can take it back, she will take it back some day

    How very cool Vickles :)--> I have alot of shade so, for a change I'm growing a covercrop which is fescue and whatever weeds came up. Garlic is easy to grow and is tolerant of some shade (just make sure your soil drains well to avoid root rot). Best place to get some is your homegrown farmers market (homegrown, now that brings back memories ). You can take a soil sample to your county extension office and they'll test it for you and tell you what you need to add. Usually a ph adjustment and compost will solve most soil issues. Composting is not hard nor necessarily that comlicated, I dump grass clippings, animal poop and leaves in a pile n let nature take its course, then I flip it and let it finish cooking. I've then got a good 3' x 6' of enriched soil where the compost sat chock full of worms and enough finished compost to enrich a 4' x 8' bed. I guess my advice would be to have fun and experiment, lay out yer garden so it pleases the eye and fits with your space, both physical and spiritual.

  6. I think it was part of his grand scheme of weirwille over the world aka WOW. He did say from time to time that we should be first in the arts and sciences, knowing what we did from God's Mogified Word...
  7. Deep Breaths Mick Deep Breaths :)--> Welcome you are amoung friends
  8. Satori do you recall W's push for fellowships within walking distance for twig members during that time frame? Or maybe the outreach for Wake Up America and the desperate attempt to follow up on it with God country music and America?

  10. I was a Repub before I got into twi and remain so today inspite of my differences with the parties policies and politics. VP certainly encouraged the conseritive pov which was coincidentally Repub in nature, I think it had something to do with the German work ethic and aversion to socialism more than anything else, I think Weirwille found himself in a position of influence (over us) and tried to manipulate it into political power. In that regard he was a leader of sorts seeing how so many Christian Rightwing groups have formed special interest groups since.
  11. What would be scary is if he and his congregates (and others like them) formed informal militias, training for the *end time* battles...
  12. Kinda makes ya wonder where God was in all of this.
  13. Galen, the promo stuff was mostly way mag stuff and the state grapevine with a few kids way mag's thrown in. Out of four classes, derway provided zero students and minimal support. Did I mention NO students and minimal support? Sure hope I did :)-->
  14. Did anyone hear of the new lwasuit aginst twi??
  15. Belle, in answer to your queston, much. We didn't quite folow twi doctrine but overall much strength was built. We put together two twig pfal classes in a state that seemed incapable of putting one together of itself, dunno how much I contributed to that but some familial directions were changed and so far nobodies complained. I always hated the pfal promo stuff we were expected to give, it reminded me of shaklee and amway :)-->
  16. Thanks Shaz A friend of mine got Lyme from a vacation in Michigan, it took him several rounds of antibiotics and a year for him to recuperate.
  17. He took it the next level alright, always trying to outdo his master...
  18. Residential seems the be the hot market in the south, 35-100$ an hour is not unheard of but of course skill and speed play a part too. There isn't as much competition in residential due to all the extra care you got to take in a clients home and that can be a pia. Commercial work is great bread and butter but with gas as it is I prefer one or two nearby stops for the money instead of 20-30.

  20. Bitterness is like a sour apple, in small amounts it's pleasant but if you eat too many you'll get a tummy ache (or ulcer). I've been out physically for 8 yrs, out mentally for close to 10 and until the past few years held onto alot of anger towards twi, things like how could they do this to Gods peeps or why didn't somebody in upper leadership positions have the courage to stop this, not to mention the doctrinal and practical betrayals... I think we have a couple of choices when dealing with bitterness and anger, we can let it fester inside and ruin our lives, we can deny its existance or we can work through it and learn from our experiences (the purpose of this site) and regain some wholeness in our lives. Twi was a small but significant aspect of my life during the time I was involved, for others it was their all and I'm sure those folks got alot more stuff to digest than I did, I wish you well on your journey.
  21. Been watching WW 2 on the history channel and this fits with much of what was shown, ordinary people doing bad things under the influence of a charismatic leader. It looked like several of the Axis leaders had mood disorders and the ducumentary did bring that up, seems to fit imo.
  22. Signals this place gets all sorts of visitors, from waygb types to reporters attorneys judges concerned friends coworkers parents siblings children clergy to the idle curious NOT to mention several thousand ex-members, perhaps more than twi's current membership Hmmmmm Oh and I agree with you about the folks with money being treated with kid gloves at least until Martindale's ranting become public, then his right hand man did his best to drive long standing and hence cash flush believers out because they had the audacity to call them on their bull****. In the space of a few months several thousand dollars a month of abs went out the window ne'er to return. From what I heard our Atlanta folks spent a good bit of time and put up with a tremendous amount of slanderous abuse after to try and reign in Dickhead. At least some folks had integrity :)-->
  23. Sadly, Linda, so do I :o-->
