  1. WOW, another nice guess .... it isn't a fault, but the ball does hit the net on the serve mmmmm, was referring to food, not my love of animals
  2. Good guess, but no... And I was worried it would be too easy. The shaking part of the piggy is the specific part I'm referring to ...mmmmmm
  3. boomerang probably not, but my best guess
  4. rhino

    oops another one

Quite a conversation you're having excie ;) So they can bring a civil suit 20 years later and sue for money, but too late for criminal charges? I guess they had help from the one guy confessing. Was there any sex with juvenilles from the twi gang? Or is this not even the point of this topic? I do remember one young teen girl on the microphone (from the audience, with VP and all sitting up front) bragging at Corps week ('84 or '85?) about the sexual exploits of the younger teen Corps kids. Something about how they did everything ... she got a huge applause as I recall. That seemed pretty odd to me even then ... I never heard of adults with underage kids though, of course VP liked to call us his kids yuch ... How would you feel giving money to a church that just paid out millions for their priests' molesting children? :( What a mess.
  5. OK, thanks ... the Spankenhous comment was what made me laugh and go back to look at the pic ... so maybe I was reading into it a little  The one by Donna looks like a defect, the other "chain" is something real I'd think, the way it fits in between the foreground things ... with a little photshop work it could certainly be made into an S&M bar
  6. It looks like a bar, with the bottles in the background ... but is that a chain, maybe around a mirror in the back by the bartender? Can you zoom in for me a little Tonto? It's to the upper left of Donna's head, as well as between r&R, so I'm thinking it's part of a theme. What kind of bar would that be? ...
  7. Yes excie ... thank you for delivering me from the spirit of verbosity ... you commanded it right out I can't promise it won't come back next time I'm drinking though LOL And Father, thank you right now for beer in the fridge ... and thank you for excie's retememory cells and just bring those little boogers back to life right now ... in the name of Jesus Christ ...Amen
  8. yes, you are right George ... I've got that for tonight ... Bluze' was trying to pass it off on Raf, cuz Raf knew ... but didn't say ...
  9. OK, I knew sleepy hollow and didn't contribute, so here ... try this ...
  10. Well, this being a largely Christian country and a largely Christian group here, it seems the point to address is about whether the Christian religion is a root of evil. Is this show airing in Iran? It's a quantum leap to go from "radical Islam is evil", to "Christianity is evil", since both are religions. Why not just jump to "all humans are evil"? I actually think there is a religion that is in favor of returning earth to the animals. Oh, they did finally convict some "ecoterrorists" after they had done millions of dollars of damage. But I guess that is another religion.
  11. Well, I don't remember being taught that ... I knew some corps that came later that were real jerks ... maybe after VP was dead that happened more ... if anything I think the corps was used as servants to bring in money for the elite ... being a doulos for the lord meant being slave for the way ... anyway ... maybe I WAS trained to be arrogant ... I know the folks in my branch liked me a lot better than "force his will down their throats with intimidation Gil" that came after me ... you have to look at people as individuals, even those dam corps ... but that was another life ... thank God.
  12. Absolutely Nika ... :) That is the thing about hanging here ... lotsa folks that are still decompressing ... or whatever ... and maybe they come here for info. I'm glad I came across this site, and it is swell to be back in touch with some of the good folks from way back, that has all been positive. I sorta think a different name is in order, greasespot seems too much like a reaction to something egomaniac Craig said once. But I look at any stories about past injustices as "testimony" to people still dealing with it ... I use the little dancing guy a lot to try to express that you got to keep moving on, LIFE IS GOOD! I'd like to write in TomTuttle style, spoofing pfal, but I am not fluent enough anymore to be very versatile at that, though it is a little scary how much of it comes back when hanging here Of course, I ran pfal like 23 times so some of it is surely indelibly etched in my noggin. of all the scumbag outfits out there, I'm not sure twi really ranks that high ... you got your mafia, the drug dealers, the gangs, terrorists, commies .. I mean like China commies where they can might kill you for being a Christian ... we didn't really have it so rough. I mean how many of us were killed or tortured? A lot of political cronyism crap I saw in the "real world" in New Orleans strikes me as more evil than the twi turkeys ever hoped to be. But the political guy I knew that was part of that ... in prison now with his ex governor buddy. The building inspector scum that took payoffs (and owned the bar where I ran volleyball leagues for 5 years) ... found shot in the back of the head a couple days before the hurricane ... VPW ... didn't even make it to 70 ... maybe there is some justice out there ... but life is too short for me to try to dish it out ... if you have a case, get a lawyer, otherwise, party on Garth Of course, reliving some of that may be healthy ... to a point ... I guess that is part of the idea of this site ... So do they really still string chairs for Corps night somewhere? Excie, your toilet is ringing ... :)
  13. from that article "WHEN it comes to the question of its own existence, humanity is roughly divided between three possible answers: “Creation.” “Evolution.” Or, “Don’t know.” Most people seem to be all of those ... to one degree or another. I'd guess most Christians believe there is evolution ... but maybe not that man came to be by lightning striking some sort of primordial slop (there was no soup back then). Lightning is the sci-fi answer to how life started, and the big bang is the answer to how everything started. The atheist scientist seems very proud to say they have "it" figured out to within a second of after the big bong bang, but if they were really smart they could tell me about a second before. In other words, they don't know. All they are sure of is it wasn't creation. My pseudo scientific reasoning tells me nothing can exist ... but since "I drink therefore I am", there must be something else to it. My guess is most believe there is something greater than they can understand to life ... that they will never really understand IT, and of course there is evolution, but it doesn't explain how life came to be. I doubt many scientists believe there was a flood covering all the earth some 6000 years ago ... so I guess that has to be figurative if you want to accept the Bible. I believe the correct answer for everyone (if they get honest) is to say they really dont know ... but it may help people feel superior to say they have all the answers. So come join my evolutionary creationist church of uncertainty. As for religion being dangerous bunk ... that's down right silly ... the sociologic side of churches is huge ... and in a positive way ... anyway ... back to cutting down trees ...
  14. Yes, come back soon ... I am very disappointed none of my 9th corps brethren were with me on the dial up, as they have clearly been led captive by silly women or men. They said, if they could have just five minutes of my time, they'd show me I didn't know what I'm talking about when it comes to the adultrous alcoholic field. But it doesn't do any good to belittle anyone ... why... I've already FORGOTTEN more about the drambuie spirit field than that old boy will ever know! dam corps ... my drambuie's almost gone and the ice is melted, how the heck am I supposed to teach the word as it has not been known since the first century, if you can't keep my drink freshened up ... Every once in a while I channel for VP. He just kinda slips in , like those guys that speak in tongues in the middle of their sentences. I have a cursing spirit as well, @(%* @(%* @(%* ... paw has imprisoned him though LOL Hey, about that legal stuff, I never plan to be a part of any of that, but I remeber after some audit there was something about needing to address the disparity between the big guys' pay and the little guys'. I imagine the lawyers tried to cover their arse ... call it overtime charity or something ... I'll have to see what the current suits are about ... I guess it is here on GS somewhere. But don't these suits on asbestos or smoking go back a long time? I saw something else recently that went back like 20 years. Anyway, if things have gotten worse, the guys there in the last ten years would have a better shot maybe ... Well, I googled this ... from Wikipedia a cause of action (in a civil lawsuit) is said to have accrued when the event beginning its time limitation occurs. Sometimes this is the event itself that is the subject of the suit or prosecution (such as a crime or personal injury), but it may also be an event such as the discovery of a condition one wishes to redress, such as discovering a defect in a manufactured good, or in the case of controversial false memory syndrome cases where someone discovers memories of childhood sexual abuse during therapy long afterwards. and ... It may also be inequitable to allow a defendant to use the defence of the running of the limitations period, such as the case of an individual in the position of authority over someone else who intimidates the victim into never reporting the wrongdoing, Anyway, I went 15 years with hardly even thinking about twi... but if someone here is seriously harmed, I wouldn't discourage them from seeking legal counsel. Seeing our old ABS and fruit of our labor go somewhere other than to the twi elite would probably be refreshing for all of us :) I couldn't feel my toes for a month after mild frostbite on LEAD ... too bad they didn't let me bring my nice warm Sorel boots  And then there was hitching back when Wolf Creek pass was closed due to snow ... OK, maybe I will sign up for that class action suit
  15. I've always had DISH with no real problems. I'd have to check pricing agian, but they seemed less expensive than direct. I just get the basic plan and if you pay for a year you get a month free. Also I could get local programming for $5/month or so. Last I knew they will set up a new customer for free, equipment free, and even run the lines into your house.
  16. you guys just aren't committed ... if you were walking in the spirit, you'd appreciate corps night more ... the spirit of drambuie that is. I don't have the energy to go back and see if all that prattle made any sense at all ... it didn't at the time, that's for sure ...
  17. Yes Raf, way to go ... your turn
  18. Your reputation preceeds you George, excellence is expected on an every day basis ... but yes, very nice ... I'll strive to challenge without perplexing ... or something like that ...
  19. anafaireemsomething ok ... the last pic doesn't show anniefaireemember orphanfai remember I don't know the dog's name hug fai remember an affair to remember no idea if that is a movie
  20. What channel is the game on Hap? I put it on CBS, but I don't see the Broncos playing ... I just see guys in Yellow running wild all over the field ...
  21. You have my vote Ted, though we never met ... I'm thinking this group is more like the "back nine", since we already made the turn, and I for one am usually headed toward the clubhouse for a beer :)
  22. I don't get your point ... it seems this is just about ... like when I watch the Illini lose on TV ... I'm absent in body, but present in spirit, and feel the pain as though I were present ... and I have judged already they should be ranked 20, not 6. Maybe I missed something ... Belle, are you arguing the dead are alive now? Fine with me if you are ... maybe they are ... I'm not sure the dead will ever be alive, but haven't ruled anything out ... just not clear on what you are saying ... I guess you are referring to stuff like NT guys getting rev or visions from OT guys ... and who brought up that thing about "it seems there are spirit substances that do connect with some but I thinks it is to cause confusion to say the least...." ? Yes, I wish those substances would shut the heck up. (if you see a smiley face waving in that last sentence, that is my great-grandmother saying hi, just ignore her) Oh, OK Belle, I just caught up with your last post ... I should refresh more often :)
  23. People with alzheimer's may get confused and think they are talking to some long dead friend or relative. My Mom, on drugs after surgery, was sure I was some relative that died like 30 years ago. It is interesting how the mind holds these things vividly somewhere in memory. "The mind is a terrible thing." If the dead are alive, and they sometimes talk to us, why don't they talk to us all the time? It should be like in "Beetlejuice" ... they could hang out with us, be a regular part of the family. But I don't know where life came from, so how can I say where life goes? :P What I'm wondering though is ...how do you derail a thread? ... do threads run on rails? The doctors told me I had dame bramage ... but none of my friends know what that sheet is!
