  1. and i don't think common sense and spiritual need to clash but they will flow together
  2. touche' on the first line...:) had to look up pragmatic... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pragmatic personally i think life is very spiritual even from an atheist perspective http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism
  3. Personally I think if two people willing participate in the act of sex and the woman becomes pregnant both should take responsibility to have the child. And perhaps put the child up for adoption if they cannot handle the responsibility. I do not agree with twi that abortion is right the way they taught us Though I would say that in cases of rape and endangerment to the mother, abortion can be considered. Primarily the mother's decision, though the father can have some say in the matter if it's not a rape case. Planned parenting is something that is solely up to the parents and not any church organization. It is their decision and their's alone for they are the ones to take care of the results of their decision. My wife and I decided to stop at two kids by legal medical means. Sometimes we wish we would not have stopped at two and sometimes we are glad we did.
  4. ok sushi, i don't get it. though i agree with the statement i thought it would say 'can be'. can you say more?
  5. hi Garth, yeah they can be just like anyone else i've learned a lot of bible from them too they ask questions that many bible students never thought of which i'm very interested in and the common sense approach to life in general
  6. http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/nontheism/atheism/ I've learned a lot from different atheism sites. Anyone care to share what they see?
  7. Thomas, I think there is where the real challenge is. Tofind the whys and what fors of those strange teachings. I've learned from Greasespot that if everyone thinks alike then no one is thinking. I think that is a tag line for someone here.
  8. yeah, no response george good those who know nothing should say nothing or ask don't see that happening damn shame' just let 'fate' f you keep bending over sticking your head in the sand bye
  9. i estimate the dead to be at least 100 in their actual vulnerability penetration operation into our schools it was only a vulnerability test 100 kids are not really dead what can we do THINK mainly
  10. you keep implying that i'm promoting something i'm not and i'll keep shoving it back in your slow face
  11. and i can say more about prevention-mitigation preparedness response recovery if anyone is interested another day though i'm going to bed of course this is about saving lives and changing lives not sure if this is what bramble had in mind from bramble george you used different terms then finances, jobs etc these things work the same basically in other situations
  12. george just cause you like to change my meaning to suit yourself that don't change what i meant you want an argument i'm saying there are things you are missing probably intentionally to justify your own ignorance your privilege and my privilege to counter your point of view nothing was said about everyone being safe you changed the subject it's about how much control do we have over life you are basically saying none i say we have more then we realize IF we just search it out and we are all ignorant in various things wonder what would happen if we listened to each other?
  13. 0 yeah, there were also reps from fed law enforcement police departments and government officials there too
  14. hi george your list leaves out the really big, all-encompassing, far-reaching events in our lives and there are things we can do about it not only the things in your list but those things that you may have ruled out and i don't mean prayer the way you think of it plus there is a hell of a lot more then prayer that can be done on another note my entire school district staff of which i'm a part of just had a day conference with the department of homeland security prevention-mitigation preparedness response recovery it was an interesting day for sure might want to look up some of those words maybe you don't believe they exist
  15. thanks WW, sometimes things are hard to put in words good job
  16. i'd dump yahoo toolbar though, gettin pretty crowded up there plus you can still keep the anti spy perk from norton its in program files yahoo nss send it to the desktop as an icon
  17. ie7 seems to be working ok. didn't install net framework though and it all works.
  18. How so Jb?How is that the doctrine gets the credit? Who heals? What heals? Not doubting your statement about being healed. Just how it came to pass.
  19. Good points waysider why is it that doctrine is held in such high esteem when it is not even understood? under the old definition of 'right believing' let's take for instance 'the giver and the gift' pfal style what if one was shown differently not by men but by the revelation of Jesus Christ wouldn't there be a choice to make? what if it is different yet not fully understood? would one hold to the old doctrine or leave it- to seek further this new found way of learning and what was learned? (of course the old learning is still in the mind and can actually be drawn upon, even dismantled to see what held it together)
  20. I think there is a great fear of lost control. Rather then fear it, investigate it. Why am I not in control? Who is controling? What is the purpose?
  21. Good Question. what is doctrine anyway some unchangeable thought pattern? a system of thinking? rules and regulations? is it a tank with thick armour that nothing could get through? I THINK NOT!!! lol.... has man progressed and not God? if God doesn't change have we ever really seen him? the bible...pfffft... o my God held in the face like some kind of rule book NEVER INTENDED TO BE THAT AT ALL!!!!!! imo....of course remove NOT the landmarks!!!!!............. they yell shoot, just where in the flock are they? we are to GROW which means changeing thinking 'we shall all be changed' it says well I damn well hope it's more then my body cause my thoughts are getting tiresome sometimes bored, depressed, angry, joy, gladness all those FEELINGS that some religous people despise yeah, they say control your emotions f you, no, maybe i want to see where they lead me! not to hurt though my own hurt lives not for gladness though i'd like it to be there without sadness where would happy be? so o yeah, doctrine what an abused word limiting so much that can be experienced learned seen felt in every part of the mind and body let's pick a new definition for doctrine like say....... what we need to be feel hear learn and grow out of into the arms and mind of a living breathing God that is so darn close you can smell it God says move the Spirit is moving well by God I'll leave my tire marks all over that damn word run it over a few times till i can BREATH THE SPIRIT OF GOD again
  22. Oakspear, Yes this is a site for ex twi or anyone else. Why attack twi doctrine? Because it's still alive and well in many circles. Not only in twi but in other 'camps' as well. twi doctrine is the slavery that men have produced from the workings of God. twi is a profile of what can be doine to harm injur and kill people. twi is a perspective that will stop the mind from thinking and give in to peer pressure. The spirit of the old testament killed by the carenal mind, nailed to a cross that which was against us and contrary to us. Taking it out of the way. Principalities and powers still want to try to show their hand of deceit. Clear thinking and freedom to think without dogma. The spirit of God knows no bounds. It cannot be bound unless we let something bind it.
  23. yeah well i believe everyone is going to heaven some will have more hell then others to face cuz no 'man' can see God and live so many things must die and and change and though lcm and vpw may have 'tasted' they certainly did not go any further to compare lds and the way is quite silly they each have their own whatevers differences can be seen so can likenesses don't make em the same vpw lusted to be as big as lds and despised God at the same time what a mixed up fruit besides his obvious hatred of eastern religions
  24. faith in what would be a question faith in what we we think we know or what we really do know and have seen yet not attained but attainable a living faith must a living reality
  25. Well I think all religions can be a stumbling block to knowing God. To having his Christ work within. If a religion forbids other religions from the same blessings, I'd say a change should occur. Out of all I've seen the Hindu Faith is the most universal in practice. And this is nothing against you templelady. How you found and got involved and why with LDS. Is your business, as well as staying with it. Problem is that people are putting Christ in a corner. And saying well this is hoiw it was set up and this is how God wants it. To go upon anothers 'revelation' as from God to you. Is quite the mistake. We learn from others but the Holy Spirit teaches you.
