Nice Danny, Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. Really on to somthing here. The power of Christ. Acts 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

How can love be manifest via written dialogue?

Thanks I Love Bagpipes, That poem really does touch the heart. There is an inner peace that cannot be broken. I pray we all find it more and more. -
The heart is pounding so hard with excitment and fear at the same time. Finally it's enough to take that first step to get out of the way int. You've been cheated on, lied to, and wronged long enough. Past the care of what family and friends will think and say. It's the place of peace that it's the right thing to do. Not knowing what lies ahead or what will happen behind you. It's the first step out of the way and it's fear gripping power. I know it's not for everyone....yet.

i think the scriptures are in tongues they are understood and not understood read as a child and read as a man lived as a child and lived as a man those who speak in tongues- their prayer life and to one another these two must be seen as one the inexpreessable utterances and the tongues of angels

I found it on the internet somewhere. Changed a couple of words. Made it a book and now a class! :) Bringing in millions now...... Ha just kidding. I didn't write it. But I did find it on the internet, and changed a couple of words. here's one place that has it- googled the title... http://www.pegsplace.us/grace.html but that's not where i got it. it says author unknown, but they are now huh.... -
1 Corinthians 14 1Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 2For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. Secrets in other bible versions.

Good thing you were there Danny. And some insight into his life that could help him even more.

Just because a thing is not seen or realized does not make it not so. Herein lies the struggle to see and understand with all wisdom. To the only wise God...

Whenever the charities call me on the phone, i tell them to call Bill Gates..lol :) Seriously I've wanted to give money to help certain places like this but have lacked in the oppurtunity to give and have 2 college bound kids getting driving licences and insurance rates and cars and yada..yada... I wonder how different it would have been having real spiritual guidance throughout all those years. The one who led me to Christ offered me help financially when it was thought it would be a need, but it turned out that i didn't need it. Currently living within my means and working a lot, which is ok cuz I know what the work is producing.

Also, I think they were 'amazed' in Acts 2 that the wonderful works of God was spoken in their language and not Hebrew or Aramaic-or whatever the tradition was to hear from God by way of men.

Kit, I don't mean to offend. for whatever we learned from the holy spirit is still there, I used that phrase because this is how I came across speaking in tongues. Since then i've seen a much broader and bigger and practical tongue of the Spirit. And that is not to put down the benifits anyone receives in any other spiritual matter. But it brings it along with it also for the spiritual minded to see more.

And the view of the truth, Oaks. as you know It certainly isn't christianity is the only way. And this 'truth' that is sought will be found.

Both Tom and Kit have very convincing testimony of SIT as we were taught in twi. I have no problem with that. I do however have a problem if it is limited to what we were taught that speaking in tongues is and what it does. There is no place in the bible that I can see where SIT w/Interpretation was practiced as it was and is in twi. Where one SIT's and interprets his own message. And I have noted at the end of this post the one scipture that comes to mind about this. What I see is that when SIT was done the hearers were able to interpret what was said. And I believe it is in their native tongue, yet the tongues of angels that can only be received interpreted understood assimilated and recognized by the one speaking and someone other then the one that SITs. And this is a spiritual occurence and Spirit to Spirit communication. Because they are one, one Spirit in understanding. Except he interpret- 5I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. The point is edification right? "except he interpret"-does this mean that the SIT was not in their native language? It does not say that.

Glad you like it bliss. There is so much to see in these verses...

Soaring the heights and resting also.... 37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. This is taking Christ out of the 'box'. Not an eagle loosing it's feathers but mounting up. Yes these shall soar above the mountains and see where there is no shadows.... turning with the wind to the light of Christ within, the heart of a lion with the wings of an eagle. And those that sleep awake and return to their sleep again to awaken another day. Without reason to loosing a thing or gaining, but just to see, beyond themselves. Not unusual to happen more then once. Quite a number of times, to see farther and clearly. To rest on a mountain, or in a garden before taking flight on the winds of the Spirit.

Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Mark 13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. when ye shall see pretty obvious i think not everyone will see at the same time

2 Corinthians 5 1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

So if Romans 8 is saying that speaking in toungues twi style is the groanings or whatever. Then those that don't speak in toungues don't get this interceding benefit? Naaa, I don't buy it.

yeah so what do you think T-Bone?

for you Danny my friend... 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

hmm-just read what i wrote... groanings cannot be sit the way twi taught it.

15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/?searc...olewordsonly=no To go with "groanings" as speaking in toungues has no basis. Seems it would be more in relation to this- Revelation 10:3-5 3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. Speech beyond words. groanings which cannot be uttered That would mean no sound at all, or even better that it's so great that it is beyond words. In the same way-patience The Spirit-must be experienced and know it. Intercedes for us-without it, there would be no life.

Cuz what good does it do us to hear a bunch of ramblings in some kind of tougue that we were taught in twi and hearing the same old vain repetions over and over and over again. Twi forced this kind of thinking upon us and cut off any other kind of understanding of a very big subject. which I have barely touched upon. Yet trying to make it simple to understand.
