  1. Shouldn't that be a plate of familia? I'm just sayin'.
  2. Yes, friends, it's time again for some Homegrown Tomatoes.
  3. For the same reason the tabloid stories of two-headed babies always seem to happen on the other side of the planet.
  4. Hey! That sounds like something that could have been in the Witnessing and Undershepherding class.
  5. I've interacted with quite a few Amish folks over the years. Without getting into anything too specific, I have to say that the Amish lifestyle is probably not like what your perception might be if it's based on what you've seen and read in the news media. 'nother words----Things ain't always what they 'ppear to be. edit: Would you say The Way: Living in Love is a fair representation of life at Int.HQ?
  6. Wierwille was the poster-child of hypocrisy in this area. "Keep it in your pants.", he admonished at WOW training one year. Too bad he didn't listen to his own advise.
  7. Nurse, I think I might need a sponge bath. WHAT? You don't KNOW that you know that you know if you need a sponge bath? What sort of spineless, indecisive, piece of dung are you anyway? Sorry, nurse. I must have gotten lost in the moment-us.
  8. The three heavens and earths thing is from The Word's Way: Studies in Abundant Living Vol. III. It's chapter six...."The Third Heaven and Earth"/pages 87-106. Here is a summary of sorts from page 106: There are all the references in the Bible regarding the three heavens and earths. We now understand that the first heaven and earth is the one of Genesis 1:1, the second one is the one which now exists and the third heaven and earth is the one that is still future--"the new heavens and earth wherein dwelleth righteousness."
  9. Wrong thread, again....I really gotta quit that.... maybe for Lent....Heh
  10. Hey, squirrel! Lighten up! Life don't come cheap. 'specially the kinda life that includes lots of perks and bennies. Give now! Give lots! Give 'til it hurts! Amen edit: Brudder
  11. It's a mean old world to try to live in by yourself.
  12. He would have been 68 tomorrow. Happy birthday, Mike.
  13. Whew! What a relief to know I'm not a nut case for latching onto that line. Now, what I find ironic is that George delivers the line, but it's John who's playing the slide part. (Elmore's specialty.)

    The Jury is out

Wherever your current journey leads you, Ham, I hope the trip has been a memorable one.
  15. OK...This is kind of obscure, but when the guys I hung out with first heard this song, this line became sort of a catch phrase. So, I'm hoping someone else had the same reaction to this line, which is spoken as an aside, and recognizes it, as well. "Elmore James got nothin' on this, baby!"

    The Jury is out

    Oops. Wrong thread...Heh!
  17. Whatever happened to "A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger."?
  18. John, this isn't even remotely similar to what's being discussed. I have a hard time believing such a simple concept is this difficult for you to comprehend. I'm inclined to think you are purposely being obtuse so that "the ministry be not blamed".
  19. I don't know, but after a long, hot day in this scorching Midwest heat, it's gonna feel heavenly to me to hit the pillow. Anyhow----ancient?....Wierwille was referring to people who lived in Biblical times and cultures, if that helps define "ancient".
  20. Do you have any references for these claims or do you just make this stuff up "on the fly"?
