what about "not standing anymore" Leads a person to think they're in oblivion, not protected, not in the household, blah, blah, blah, etc... What a bunch of ego maniacs to think twi is the only ministry that ever taught any truth!!!!! OK, they probably meant standing with THEM! Well I guess I can see that, but I was always thought it was a vindictive way to handle people both in and out of twi. Now I realize I AM STANDING and I sure as hell don't need them to do it! What about Romans 14:4? "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand."

There was a short time I worked for a mortgage company as a telemarketer. We were given lists of names, numbers, addresses, and mortgage information pertaining to their current loans. I don't know how many times I reached people who were on the do not call list. I asked my boss why we were getting these names of people who requested to be on the "do not call list". These people were angry and rightfully so. His explanation left me groping in the dark. So I called the agency we got our lists from and found out it was our company's responsibility to filter out these names by connecting with a federal database. I brought this to my boss's attention, and he flat-out refused to take these steps even though people would have a right to sue. Needless to say, I quit shortly after!

I agree Groucho! it was when LCM wanted total allegiance as he put it (during the leadership tapes 1 & 2)....and with the promise things would get to the prevailing word! What a lie! It makes me think of a verse in 2 Peter 2:19..... "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage." Why did we follow this man and this corrupt ministry? We should have had brains to think with....... How sad!!!!! however enlightening........

It's hilarious!

There's another book I enjoy reading. Actually, I haven't read it in a while, but it gives perspectives from male and female sides. It's called, "Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus". Most libraries have it. I liked it so much I went and bought a copy. I'd like to find a church or someplace, too, where I could call home!

:) I love you Rummy, but I disagree! Some of us have learned what genuine kindness is all about even if we're ex-way zombies! I know I knew the value of true kindness...My mother taught me before I ever joined twi. And you know she surpassed it! She still lives that way.... I try to think twice before I'll say anything to hurt anyone...OK, being sweet isn't neccesarily kind, it's just how you are! Do you think about what you're saying? Do you think about how you can help someone? What about insight into someone's heart, and what will bless them? :)

Hey Dot, You have such great insight. You are so right when it comes to praying about the evil between people. I think you have a great point. We don't have all the answers, but we know him who does!

Just a little information I acquired today. Those of you still needing to book rooms might want to do so as soon as you can. I was informed by a hotel booking agent there's a festival in the The Woodlands that weekend. According to her, rooms will be harder to find, at least in that general area. Just thought I'd pass the information along. Looking forward to meeting you all soon!

There was something stated in the "The Way Living in Love". There was a reference regarding their "work" performance was unsatisfactory. At least, that's what I seem to remember.....Don't think names were mentioned.

Belle, you knew Todd? He was here in Cincinnati when I left. Yes, Todd is funny. His humor was refreshing! I remember times my insides were aching because I laughed so much! He's a good guitar player, too!

There are so many legalism stories, and it would be hard to remember them all! Abuse and neglect were the name of the game especially in the 90's until 2004 when I left. Isn't it funny people's needs weren't met, but they would sure choke on some "stupid"(reflecting on them) point of interest? It seems they were always looking for dirt.... I remember sitting in our branch coordinator's living room with the area believers. We were all reproved because the "quality" in our lives were lacking. We were threatened (they said they would leave our area and go somewhere else, leaving us in the dry desert...) Now that I think about it, the fruit they delivered was no oasis! Ego, I tell you! Of course we all felt obligated and under the gun! I wonder if our fruit would have improved had they left! We were all given instructions to do "daily" study and to write down what was studied. These reports were to be handed in to this branch coordinator every week. We were all followed up in personal meetings, two by two, when judgments were given on our progress....... I think it's ironic this limb coordinator's wife made judgments about people with little or no information. Upon first meeting her, one of her first questions to me regarding another believer was, "is she a lesbian?" Where was the love of God in this woman's life? Later, (several months) she informed me she had me figured out within a few minutes of our first meeting. These leaders were quick to judge past leaders in our area, believers who left, other leadership still in twi, even bringing them up by name in teachings....The wife especially had anger issues, and was often hurtful in how she handled people. I noticed there were problems in their fellowship they didn't identify, and it took them months to figure those out! So much for her quick judgment! Okay, a little wordy, but here's one of my stories!! When someone doesn't make the word their own, they are definitely "game" to be used. The love of God comes from knowing him first! It's not supposed to be "someone" telling you what to think! And yes, IT MAKES ME MAD!!!!!

I fourth it! There were excellent corps couples in that category I remember. And my sentiments exactly!
