Ok Rock...the panties in a wad comment may have been a little over the top...should I have said thong???? ;)--> Alright...it's probably fairly obvious by now that I group film critics in the same category as sleazy used car salesmen, but this cracks me up!!! Does anyone think that this was a walk in the park for Jesus?!?!?!? If Mel Gibson's objective is to show as accurately as possible what Christ went through then I'm glad he included what he did. It has been well advertised how violent this movie is, I wouldn't recommend taking small children as they wouldn't understand. I myself want to be able to visualize what my Lord did for me. I'm sure it will be painful, and I'm sure I will bawl like a baby, but I won't regret it and I think it will bring me to another level of thankfulness for the grace and mercy he sacrificed Himself for my sake, and yours. WB... Nope...growing up I never felt convicted of anything...I was raised Roman Catholic and it was pretty much forced upon me, so anything that had to do with religion or God or any member of clergy just ....ed me off, so in return I just did what I wanted to do and the hell with what anyone else thought. I could never understand as a kid why I should have to confess all my bad stuff to another human being who was probably sinning just as much if not more than me. I remember being at the ROA in '92...went to the teaching in he big tent that night...Donna Fartindale was teaching on this subject...about the rod and discipline and all...I was a good little TWI mommy...took notes...followed up with what she said the word meant...proceeded to spank my son for the slightest transgression because the Queen of TWI Mommies said it would be best for my child. How oblivious I was back then to my son's ''affliction'' as they would later call it...he had been diagnosed with ADHD...his little body couldn't sit still...it just wasn't possible for him. I have quite a few...but I'll start with two: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein Awesome book about giving out of love and never asking for anything in return. I have loved this book since I was a kid...no kid should be without it. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak I love this book because I have a son with ADHD and it helped me and him understand him better. It is just a wonderful imaginary story. Another thought... There have been times when I've been speaking to someone, whether in a witnessing situation, or comforting someone etc., that after the conversation is over, I sit back and think to myself ''...whoa! where'd that come from?!?!'' knowing full well it was the Holy Spirit speaking through me.
