"You know a wise man once said, I think it was Attila the Hun, "It is not enough that I succeed, everyone else must fail."" "Well, I hope you don't expect me to save you, 'cause I don't do that anymore." "Don't worry about me. I'm long past savin'." "How can he say that Pure Categories have no objective meaning in Transcendental Logic? What about Synthetic Unity?" "I don't want to go to jail because there are robbers and rapers and rapers who rape robbers." "What will it do?" "Anything I tell it." "What will it do for me?" "For you, it will do anything you tell me to tell it to do for you." George

The success of the Batman TV show spawned a number of super-hero shows of various quality. Here are two, one-season shows from 1967. Name one two win the round: Stanley Beamish, the weakling proprietor of a Washington gas station, is also a top-secret super agent. When the Government's Bureau of Special Projects needs Stanley, he takes a pill that gives him an hour's worth of strength, courage, and flying time. There have been two DC characters with the same name. (And it's not Hourman.) Carter Nash was a chemist in a police department who discovered a liquid that could turn him into an odd sort of superhero: very shy and dominated by his mother. Taking the liquid blew off his outer clothes, so he basically fought bad guys in his long johns. No DC character with the same name. George

While Human's working, I'll butt in with another football question, The Kansas City Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls. Including the Chiefs, eight teams have won back-to-back Super Bowls. Which one of those teams has done it twice? (Extra credit question: which was the first team to do it?) George

The Scary Movie franchise wasn't particularly scary as they were spoofs of actually scary movies. Though I don't remember any such scene, your pudding wrestling wouldn't be out of order for one of them. George

The Mary Tyler Moore Show? (I remember Carlton, never seen but only heard; but I'm not sure which sitcom it was.) George -

I guess this stretches the meaning of "soon." "You know a wise man once said, I think it was Attila the Hun, "It is not enough that I succeed, everyone else must fail."" "Well, I hope you don't expect me to save you, 'cause I don't do that anymore." "Don't worry about me. I'm long past savin'." George

In this week's "Elsbeth," Captain Wagner (Wendell Pierce) made a comment about Megan Markle being blamed for something she had no involvement in. Pierce played Markle's dad on "Suits" and was giving her a subtle thumbs-up. George -

I have to admit that, after my first couple of years here at GSC, I've spent most of my time in "the game room" (Movie, Music, Books, Art), occasionally popping my head out when a new thread title catches my eye. When Raf told me that people were leaving GSC because of an anti-Christian bias, my response was, "Seriously???" I'd seen posts from people who had been hurt in churches (not just TWI) who were angry and because of their mistreatment had gone agnostic or atheist. But I never saw that as the prevailing opinion or any indication that those who still espoused Christianity were shunned. Do they still do polls, here? It might be informative to find out whether GSC-ers have noticed an anti-Christian bias (and, if so, do they think it's appropriate). George
