  1. You are correct. I've seen Erland in three films, the two you mentioned and "The Wanderers." I haven't tried googling to see if there were others. His large size was a major factor in his dying of heart failure. :-( George
  2. Final Arrow episode. Good job. Not too mushy, and brings back a lot of supporting characters from the series. New job for Layla. And John????? George
  3. This first clue might give it away, as I've mentioned this person before. A featured actor in this movie was a student at MIT when I was there. I met him a couple of times, as he was on the wrestling team along with one of my fraternity brothers. He died far too young. Two of the actors became state governors. The movie was based on a novella by Richard Bachman. "Richard Bachman" is actually a pseudonym for Stephen King. George
  4. Conan the Barbarian Sandahl Bergman All That Jazz George
  5. Now, unfortunately, you've gone from one actor to another without a movie in between... George
  6. Now THIS one I've heard. Having trouble coming up with the title, though. George
  7. OK, fine. JACQUELINE (Big-set) BISSET. (FYI, she was Miss Goodthighs in the original "Casino Royale.") FREE POST George
  8. Has anyone watched "Pennyworth"? I had heard a bit about it, but since it's on EPIX, which I don't get, I haven't seen it. It appears to be up to episode 7 or thereabouts. George
  9. That's Brigitte Bardot, but no. Let's see if this helps: Gwen Meighen The last name may have only been mentioned once in the movie, one of the earliest disaster-type dramas. AIRPORT Gail Berke One of the best-known wet-T-shirt scenes THE DEEP Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Liz Cassidy The second was from a thinly-veiled re-telling of the first (or, more accurately of her second husband) THE GREEK TYCOON Empress Josephine Bonaparte from a miniseries (1987) NAPOLEON AND JOSEPHINE James Lebeau from a recent HBO series (a female role, despite the name) NIP/TUCK Constance Isles the mom of a lead character in a recent TNT series RIZZOLI & ISLES George
  10. I know Thompson from his political and TV careers, but I can't think of movies he's been in. Except, I suppose, "No Way Out." George
  11. OMG, NO!!!! (She wasn't ON MWC; Al Bundy referred to the ACTRESS as "Big-set", a play on her name as well as her figure!) George
  12. Meet the Parents Owen Wilson The Royal Tenenbaums George
  13. No. Older woman. On "Married With Children" she was referred to as "Big-set." George
  14. I actually am a Count (Upper Silesia). Our family name was von Juraschek, before my grandfather changed it on coming to America. But, I think Human mistook me for the poser of this trio. Amy Adams Man of Steel Diane Lane George
  15. Not resonating. (Doesn't mean I haven't heard it, though.) George
  16. While Ursula Andress is much better-looking than Judi Dench (in ANYONE's humble opinion), and she did appear in a LOT of movies (mostly foreign), I would not consider "Dr. No" an extracanonical Bond film, nor has there been a recent film with the same title. The Bond film in question was more of a spoof (though the "remake" was definitely NOT). I may have to turn over all the cards. She's had dozens of roles, in addition to the ones I've given, but certainly none more recognizable. Let's look at a couple of the more likely to be recognized: Gwen Meighen The last name may have only been mentioned once in the movie, one of the earliest disaster-type dramas. Gail Berke One of the best-known wet-T-shirt scenes Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Liz Cassidy The second was from a thinly-veiled re-telling of the first (or, more accurately of her second husband) Empress Josephine Bonaparte from a miniseries (1987) James Lebeau from a recent HBO series (a female role, despite the name) Constance Isles the mom of a lead character in a recent TNT series George
  17. "I had guessed that she'd completed her term of office while I wasn't watching the show (I watch less and less, nowadays.)" Actually, she was a Durlan and tossed out of office when her secret was outed. I could only hope that the revisionist history would eliminate that. <Sigh.> "I must say, I'm really glad they had redesigned that thing from when the original Starman wielded it in the comics- it really, really looked like something specific, and it was NOT a weapon- the original Gravity Rod and Cosmic Rod." It was, however, a lot easier to hold. "Here's hoping that the Canaries and Stargirl series' aren't all dark, depressing, angsty things like Titans and Doom Patrol." That's a hallmark of DCUniverse streaming shows, but not CW. Expect "Social Justice," instead. George
