  1. "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy"? George
  2. This one makes a funny title, but it's hard to make up a plot that doesn't contain part of the title. A Czech doctor in the late 1960's pursues two women, who become friends. To get away from them women, he escapes through a secret door in the back of a puppet shop and is transported into the mind of an American actor, 30 years later. George
  3. Denzel Washington Crimson Tide Gene Hackman George
  4. You put the boom-boom into my heart You send my soul sky high when your lovin' starts Jitterbug into my brain Goes abang-bang-bang 'til my feet do the same George
  5. "Footloose" (by Kenny Loggins)? George
  6. Alan Rickman Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Kevin Costner George
  7. Steve Carrell Hope Springs Tommy Lee Jones George
  8. I googled Santa Claus and Mars and got the answer. I don't want to hear a negative comment about "Traxx," ever again. :) George
  9. I used to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000, but I don't remember this one. It almost reminds me of "Spaced Invaders," but that was a Halloween film, not Christmas. George
  10. Steve Martin Bringing Down the House Queen Latifah George
  11. This one does seem familiar, but I can't associate a melody with the words. George
  12. I might have had some other guesses based on the first quote, but now...????? George
  13. That's not the one I'm thinking of. I don't think Bonnie Franklin's character was a recovering alcoholic, and I don't remember what her job was. The one I have in mind appeared about 20 years after "One Day at a Time." George
  14. Tim Robbins Bull Durham Susan Sarandon George
  15. Not a bad transliteration of his accent. ;) George
  16. A recovering alcoholic divorces her abusive husband and gets a blue-collar job to support her kids. Surprisingly, it's a comedy. George
  17. I didn't realize that it was that recent. I'll post another shortly. George
  18. I still remember Paulsen talking about gun control: "You come home and find your wife in the arms of another man. What are you going to do? Poison him?" I can't remember if I've used this one on this thread before. For some reason, the search function will search the forums as a whole, but not just this thread. Anyway: A number of shows have had actors replaced by others, either in the same role (e.g., Darin Stevens) or as a replacement (Bub/Uncle Charlie). This show had three actors play one role, two actors playing another, and a third character was "replaced" upon the death of an actor. (PS I'm using the term actor without reference to gender.) George
  19. Sounds like "The Smothers Brothers." I remember Pat Paulsen's mock Presidential campaign; was that on the show? I also remember the phrase "kiss my bass," but I don't remember "tea time." George
  20. A research assistant brings a gas chromatograph to the Amazon jungle, to aid an eccentric scientist. Imagine her surprise to find Thomas More! George
