  1. OK. Must be Pokemon. Never watched it (or played it). George
  2. Mark Strong John Glover Djimon Hounsou George
  3. "Luke, I'm your father!" "I tied my own shoes once. It is an highly over-rated experience." "Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life." George
  4. Close enough. "When a Stranger Calls." Based on an urban legend from the 50s. George
  5. Neither of those. It was "Black Adam." A kid he meets tells him he needs a cool tagline for when he sends a bad guy to the underworld. So he says it AFTER he kills a guy. The kid tells him "Tagline first, then kill." I figured there was a reasonable chance that at least WW would get it, if not Raf, too. "Listen to me. We've traced the call... it's coming from inside the house." George
  6. Steel Magnolias Anjelica Huston Grifters George
  7. I'm sure you're both being very clever, but I'm still not getting it. If "George" is a clue, then it could be George of the Jungle, but that wasn't a horror film. Something about St. George COULD be, but not all US kids (these days) would know who that is. George
  8. I suspect that Human gave us three movie titles, not actors or roles. George
  9. To be fair, I've only seen the first three. George
  10. I presume Raf's and your latest post include subtle clues, too; but I'm still not getting it. Hating oneself in the morning could refer to a werewolf, but I can't think of any 21st century movies about one. "Taking a powder" and hating oneself in the morning could be Jekyll and Hyde, but I still come up goose eggs. The "US kids" clue isn't helping, either. George
  11. The new NBC show "Suits L.A." has what I might call Easter Eggs, in that many of the lawsuits involve actors playing themselves. In one episode, we have Patton Oswald helping Brian Baumgartner reinvent himself. In another, Rico Colantoni reminds everybody how great he was in "Galaxy Quest," demeaning Sigourney Weaver who "only had one job" and didn't have to play an alien (but he admits she was good in "Ghostbusters"). I hope this trend continues. George
  12. Since almost any city large enough to have a pro sports team has an NBA team, having only two non-soccer pro teams rules out larger cities like Chicago, Houston, LA, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta... Milwaukee had famous sitcoms (Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days), but none that I can think of with Milwaukee in the title. Dallas had "Dallas," but I'm not sure that would meet any of the other clues. It wasn't a sitcom, and I'd hardly call it a dramedy. Just trying to see what sticks, here... George
  13. The Green Hornet Edward James Olmos Stand and Deliver George
  14. No idea. Movies that were funny, about a vampire, and involving a love triangle could include "Once Bitten," "Love at First Bite," and "Dracula, Dead and Loving It"; but all of those were pre-2000. (And they were all pretty funny, but not horrifying.) This is probably one of these: But I'm not seeing it now. George
  15. "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice"? George
  16. John Wick (any) Ian McShane Hellboy George
  17. When "Reds" became synonymous with communism, the team changed its name to the Redlegs for a few years. New trivia: After the indefinite article a, the first word in many dictionaries is aa. Excluding abbreviations (like American Airlines), what does aa mean? George
  18. This one may be marginal for this thread: "Tell them the man in black sent you." George
  19. Mike Myers So I Married an Axe Murderer Nancy Travis George
