  1. It was, indeed, "Slumber Party '57," starring a pre-Wonder Girl Debra Winger. Go, Steve! George
  2. So you'd only get possessed a little at a time? I'm reminded of Bill Cosby's routine, "The Chicken Heart that Ate New York." His parents convinced him to stay in his bed by telling him that there were snakes on the ground. Eventually, he sticks his toe out, telling the snakes that if they have to bite him, just make it a small one with no "snakey juice"! Glad you found your way out, Penguin! George
  3. If it's not one excuse, it's another. George P.S. You KNOW I'm kidding, right?
  4. Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo is on cable this month. I remember seeing it years ago. Lucinda Dickey was quite pleasant to behold. Here's another classic: five pics George
  5. I also thought it was well done. The Countess objects to the sex, but isn't that what Henry VIII was about? :) Season 2 was as good as Season 1, Chas. I look forward to Season 3. George
  6. "Aww! Turn Blue." "This is a special delivery for Dad from the Universal Alumni Association." "I wonder how much money they want now." "Why don't you hold it up to the light so you can see it better?" "Never thought of that. [Holds it up to the light] Can't see a thing." "As long as it's addressed to me, do you mind letting me have it?" "I saw your insurance chart once and it says the life expectancy of the average man is..." "For your information, I look barely in my '40s. That hardly qualifies me for the home for the aged. Yet." "You've been around so long and seen so much and done so much, and still manage to look so good." "Thanks a lot!" "I think you look real young. Honest. Younger than Joe Phillips' dad, younger than Claude Mesner's uncle, why even younger than..." "Before you have me back in kindergarten, see who's at the door, will you?" George
  7. Still not getting it... How about a hint: current show, or oldie? network or cable? George
  8. Need more quotes, I think.... George
  9. Alfre Woodard Star Trek: First Contact Patrick Stewart George
  10. "Happy Together" by the Turtles. Waiting for the break of day. George
  11. I'm sure kids are allowed (though, of course, ex10 has the final say), as NiKa's were there last year. There just aren't any activities geared for yougsters. How old are they? Maybe I can bring along some comic books. George
  12. That would be "The 59th Street Bridge Song." Correct. Go. George
  13. And my point was that even if he WAS raised in the group, and groomed, etc., he still could have made the choice of his own accord. George
  14. Hello, lamppost, whatcha knowin'? I've come to watch your flowers growin'. George
  15. You don't know that, WW. Although it's unlikely that he's aware of the faults of TWI and has still chosen to remain, it certainly COULD be the case. George
  16. Well, if you're going to be THAT PICKY... ;) George
  17. "Ticket to Ride" by the Beatles? George
  18. The Countess and I moved this year, one of the reasons being to eliminate the need to evacuate. Of course, a REAL storm running right over us would be disastrous, but we're far enough from the coast that a storm surge isn't a problem anymore. Still to early to get really concerned, though. George
  19. Well, it's not as if we'd ever communicate with them, anyway. I can just see some beings thousands of light-years away picking up one of our broadcast (thousands of years later, of course): Quick! Dispatch a mission to this "Earth." Gilligan and his friends are in real trouble! George
  20. I remember LCM ranting about "the only reason for a space program is military dominance!" I disagreed, of course; and it was one of the reasons I got booted from TWI. For me, Psalm 19 is plenty of reason for a space program (i.e., to learn more about God). No particular reason to LIVE on other planets, though. George
  21. Houston Intercontinental is the old name. It was renamed after (Papa) Bush a few years ago. George
  22. After Buck picks up his niece, they get "Bug" out of the trunk. Buck tees off at him with a driver. (The actual "weapons," I suppose, were the golf balls.) George
