  1. Okay. It was a Voyager episode, "In the Flesh." Species 8472 has found a way to appear human and have designed a fake Starfleet Academy to help prepare for an assault on Earth. Ray Walston reprises his NG role as Boothby (or actually, an 8472 replica of Boothby). Capt. Janeway has a meeting with him to discuss their "little misunderstanding." "Boothby" mentions that the Borg nanoprobes, adapted by Seven of Nine and the Doctor to be able to kill 8472, "scare the hell out of" him. The other exchange was between Ensign Kim and Lt. Paris. I'm trying to keep this open to more than just original and NG episodes. I'd like to think that there were memorable episodes in ALL the shows. Try this: "I'm a doctor, not an historian." George
  2. I would have sworn that the last quote (which is the one I recognized) was from the second film. Anyway, try this: I'll have him dragged here to Washington. I want to see the whites of his lies. George
  3. The sad thing is, I actually thought "whores" but couldn't pull "hours" out. George
  4. I belonged to a Jewish fraternity in college. One of my frat brothers explained it this way: Christian holidays are all about happiness and miracles; Jewish holidays celebrate the fact that they're not all dead yet! George P.S. I understand the importance of Yom Kippur, and am not trying to demean its significance.
  5. I've used MBNA for years without a problem. Of course, I don't charge much, so there are only a few items every month. And when I've needed to call (wallet stolen), I had no trouble reaching a real person and getting things taken care of. (Now my cable provider, on the other hand...) George

    coolchef

Hey, Chef! What's "on the menu" for your special day? Have a great one, George
  7. Reminds me of the "Frazier meets Lilith" episode of "Cheers," but I'm sure that's not it. :( George
  8. I guess that explains it. I can't think of a TV show that ends in "Future." George
  9. Too bad. The last season had some excellent episodes. They were stories that should have been told in the first season. George Incidentally, I'm in the chat room for a little while, if you want to drop in.
  10. You're right. I forgot that they found some frozen ones from "First Contact." I don't believe there were any LIVE Borg in "Enterprise." (And DEFINITELY no 8472!) George
  11. FORE + T + ATE = Forty-eight Forty-eight Girls? George
  12. I don't think I know the movie. Mostly, I'm just having trouble with the Latin. I believe it should read, "Sic gorgiamus illos subjectamos nunc." (So we devour those who now subjugate us.) "Allos" is Greek, and the first person plural (active voice) ending is -mus, not -mos. George (Trying not to sound like "The Life of Brian.")
  13. "Enterprise" took place before the original series, so the Borg (and species 8472) were never in it. The actor I referred to is quite a bit older than Scott Bakula. George
  14. I remember watching O&H, though mostly in reruns. Unfortunately, I'm sure I would confuse any episode with one from "Father Knows Best" or "The Donna Reed Show." George
  15. This exchange from the same episode (not the same character) should at least nail down the series: "The last 8472 I met tried to dissolve me from the inside out." "He was only trying to get to know you better. You can't fault a person for that." George
  16. Liberals around here tend to use pictures of our President to represent the sound "duh," standing for "the." Don't know if that's the case here, Dooj being a Texan and all. The last two words might be "the future." George
  17. But for some reason, women keep trying... George
  18. Correct! Though it's been rumored that Bill Clinton HAS told the truth on occasion, this picture was the famous "I have not had relations with that woman" er -- FIB -- that he told the American public. You're up, Raf. George
  19. What is Clinton doing in the picture? George
  20. It was the same actor in both series. He is far more well-known for his character in ANOTHER sci-fi series (a comedy). George
  21. The correct spelling is "Troglodyte." Performed by Jimmy Castor, but who would know that? Go ahead, Waysider. George
