  1. Since (I believe) both Suda's and Linzee's answers key off of Marisa Tomei, I'll go with the first (Suda): Henry Winkler Night Shift Clint Howard George
  2. One Night at McCool's John Goodman The Babe George
  3. There was a movie called "Windy City," but I don't think it was ever a TV show... George
  4. Not without googling. I watched a lot of "Father Knows Best" growing up, but it wan't until I just checked IMDB that I realized they were all reruns. The only character I recall being called "Princess" was Elinor Donohue, but I assumed that you didn't mean her, as I thought FKB wan't on until the mid-60's. The "badge but no gun" reference is familiar, but I can't remember who that was supposed to be. Gene Barry was "Bat Masterson," but I don't picture him strumming a guitar. George Of course, there WAS a sheriff in North Carolina who dated Elinor...
  5. Tom gave the "anti-answer," but Dreamer was correct. George
  6. WordWolf is correct. The "no captain would ever violate the Prime Directive" quote was, of course, from Kirk. (The other quote was a Yang who had checked out Spock, having been told he was their Devil.) George
  7. Since we're into holday nostalgia now, check this out. Recognize the singers? George
  8. "It doesn't bother you; killing all those people?" "Well I wouldn't be very good at my job if it did." "You keep your body in great shape. A waste, really." George
  9. The urge to put Anna Nicole Smith in here is almost overwhelming, but Fred Ward Tremors Reba McEntire George
  10. That was an interesting episode, but not the one I have in mind. Here's perhaps the most ironic quote in Star Trek history: "A star captain's most solemn oath is that he will give his life, his entire crew... rather than violate the Prime Directive." George
  11. I have Windows XP (home version). My motherboard is a few years old. One of the people in my fellowship builds and repairs computers, so he pulled my old memory card (PC 133, I believe) and added a second one that he had. My hard drive was replaced about a year ago; it has about 100 G, of which about 66 G is presently free. Here's the deal: Finale ran fine last year, on the same system with 256 M RAM. None of my other programs are misbehaving; in fact, the extra 256 M RAM seems to have speeded things up (a little). On my most recent grind to a halt, I copied the notes from the error report that Windows generates. Let me know if this means anything to you: The "error signature" was szAppName : FINALE.EXE szAppVer : 10.0.0.0 szModName : hungapp szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000 The files involved were C:\DOCUME~1\George\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6133.dir00\FINALE.EXE.mdmp C:\DOCUME~1\George\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6133.dir00\appcompat.txt I'm going to send this off to the Finale help desk, too; but they only work weekdays 8-5. Greasespot is 24/7! George
  12. I prefer The Captain and Tenille's version, myself. George
  13. Since it says what it is on the video, I'm not giving anything away here. For those without RealPlayer, it was the CBS Season's Greetings cartoon commercial whe a bunch of birds are singing in a tree. A woodsman comes by with a saw, and the birds stop singing; but he plays the saw like a violin, the tune being "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen." I KNOW this one was the 60's. I'm saying 1968. George
  14. I must agree with Hiway (at least half of him). It's "I, Mudd." George
  15. I wouodn't say "I Love" the show, but I thought it was entertaining. Now the show she did in the late 70's? Aaaaugh! I remember one reviewer saying that a woman in her 30's doing pratfalls is funny, but a woman in her 70's doing them is just SCARY. Hiway is probably sharper on these things than I am, but I'd guess about a decade later, say 1962-1964. And, no, I don't remember seeing it. George Aside to Hiway: how did you like the "Justice League" Christmas episode a couple of years ago? I thought it was great!
  16. Every Thursday night at 8 Central on CW (used to be WB). Right after Smallville. Go, Raf. George
  17. Two of the pictures don't show on my work computer, but it's not to hard to guess the rest. I'll answer later if no one else has... George
