  1. I don't know (yet) what your movie is. I think you might like to go to p.22 of this thread, though, to see how to post pics from the internet. I think Paw only gives a set amount of filespace to post personal pics (as you have), so you'll run out pretty quickly. There's no limit (that I know of) to the amount of internet pics you can link. George
  2. Could be... George P.S. MP: Rhino has graciously given you his turn on "Pictionary," so get over there and post a puzzle!
  3. It IS an American film, but it's certainly one that the REAL Mary Poppins would get!! George
  4. The answer is, in fact, "Commando." So, Rhino's up, unless he'd like to give his turn up, say, to Mary Poppins? George
  5. Ala, I have iTunes (it's a free download with Quick Time 7.0). I can download your files, but I can only PLAY your m4p files if I've paid to do so. George Oh, and the song sung to a man's wife is presumably by a Canadian actor, since his name appears in the file name!
  6. Okay... Here's another exchange from the same movie: "Now Lila, in order to inject this properly I have to expose my gluteus maximus." "Want me to do it for ya?" "Are you perchance a nurse?" "No, but I used to be a junkie." "Would it endanger your amateur standing if I asked you to use a sterilized needle?" George
  7. Actually, if I know the answer, I usually just blurt it out. Though I remember ads for Ladder 49, I haven't seen the movie, so it didn't register at all. The Gold Rush clue (49) was a good one! George
  8. Hard to believe I was a TC for almost 20 years! George
  9. I didn't recognize that last tune, so I went back to the beginning of the thread to see if it was revealed. If it was, I didn't get that far, because I was reading all the old Superman stuff. Too bad I wasn't around when the thread started! George
  10. I thought they were the ones pulling people off the ladder! George
  11. Ala, I have no idea who that was; but he's sure a mellow fellow! George
  12. Now that College Football is over (of course, it was over for the Illini in September), we can get back to bsketball. The Ilini had an admittedly light non-conference schedule, but Michigan State was a real test, and the Screaming Illeenee kicked butt! MSU was held to half its usual score, and Dee Brown racked up 34 for Illinois. Again, no one's really expecting a repeat of last season; but, so far so good! 15-0! George
  13. Fooled me. I thought it was "Stand By Me"! George
  14. Peter Pain! Pretty devious. But I like it! George
  15. Sharon is correct. (There was actually an earlier version of "Over and Over," but the DC5 version is teh best known.) Do it, Babe! George
  16. I had all the DM travel comics as well. I remember the Hawaiian trip the most. (Barking sands, etc.) I also had DM's Baby-Sitter's Guide. It was hysterical. There was a list of all the types of kids you might have to baby-sit. My favorite was the cry-baby. How to handle one: "Smack him. What have you got to lose? He's already crying!" I think the major problem with the TV show was that Jay North was too old. On the other hand, it would be hard to find child actors precocious enough to play Dennis, Margaret, Joey, etc. at the appropriate comic-strip age. I think Dennis was suppposed to be about five. Also, in the comics, the dog was called Ruff. I forget what it was on TV, but it wasn't Ruff! George
  17. It's all about being logged in at the right time! This exchange may not be word-perfect, but I'm sure it's almost right: "In the last few minutes you've exhibited every excrementory function!" "I haven't sneezed yet." "Sneezing is expiatory, not excrementory." George
  18. Thanks, WhiteDove. I knew tht a thread like this has been around. As one might guess, my name is George St. George. I've been reading comic books for almost 44 years now, and my favorite character has always been Green Lantern. George
  19. I know I've seen this, too. "Old School"? George
  20. Well, there was a movie whose English titile was "Impossible Love," but it was Romanian, so I doubt that's it. (Raf isn't THAT devious!) George
