I recognized it immediately. (Which is impressive, since I haven't even seen a rerun of the show in decades!) I also used to read THIS comic book! Amazing how much trouble a little boy can get into. George

She would wait and wait and wait and wait for her steady date. George

Medical expenses are deductible after some large percentage of your income (I think it's 7%). So if you spend more than 7% of your (gross) income on coffee, maybe you should give it a try. Of course, you'd probably need Valium after all that coffee! George

Sha-a-a-a-ron!! You're u-u-up! George

Just a little nitpicking: "tonne" and "ton" are different units of weight. A "tonne" (or "metric ton") is 1000 kg, or 2200 lbs. George

I didn't get Cowgirl's song, because I can't open mp3's at work (at least not from bluzecentral). I was certain I hadn't seen the show Sudo posted a link to until I saw the other clues. The show DID stink, although I thought Erin M. was pretty hot. George

Thanks for the hint "Hush" by Deep Purple. George

The train is an "el," so it's something Jungle. "The Blackboard Jungle"? George
-
Spielberg and Tom Cruise appeared in "Austin Powers in Goldmember" Cruise and Scorsese appeared in "Vanilla Sky." Since Gwen Stefani played Jean Harlow in "The Aviator," how about Gwen Stefani/Jean Harlow George

I had never heard of that movie, but apparently it was about a tattooed man looking for the woman who tattoed him. As soon as Kathy confirms it, I believe it will be your turn. George And I only cogitate in private.
-
I'll have to cogitate on this on a while... George P.S. Glad to have you in the game!
-
Yeah. I looked for a "Cone of ..." thread and didn't see it. No fair using another title! George
-
You are correct! (UP + DOWN + SATYR + Doris DAY + Ted KNIGHT = UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT.) Your turn! George
-
If you think you know it, give it a shot! (Unlike the Nostalgia Thread, we usually don't keep stringing along until someone gets it, though Raf and I might hold back to let others get involved.) George

I guess I'm up, then. Try this: George

Kathy, I believe it's Raf's turn. I think your puzzle is "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes"; but I'll wait to see what Raf wants to do before posting further. George

I don't know how Raf posted links to the "cones,"but I had to point out that there was indeed another tropical storm in the Atlantic. My stepson mentioned it, and I thought he was kidding; but there it was. Zeta! It actually achieved (weak) tropical storm status on Saturday. I imagine that that's the latest Atlantic storm on record. Just think -- if it started two days later it would have been a 2006 storm, and probably the EARLIEST on record! George

Familiar, but I can't place it. George

George A's list of Mel Brooks movies reminds me of the great stuff Woody Allen did before he got serious. "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" "Love and Death" and "Sleeper" are terrific; "Bananas" and "Take the Money and Run" are less do, but still great movies. George
-
Raf has never seen "Traxx." He's just ticked 'cause I used it in "Name that Flick." It really is worth a look. George
-
It looks more like mud, but I'm going to guess "Quicksand." George
-
That MEANS, Rick, that it's YOUR TURN again! George

Pirate was right. I assume the bolded words are his clue. George
