Movies that are screaming to be remade
GeorgeStGeorge replied to Steve!'s topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Just add one new scene, and splice it into the original. Ed Wood would be proud! George -
No, I'm certain it's "Caddyshack." Assuming I'm right, I'm an escaped mental patient with a history of violence. George

"Chicken Run"? George
-
"Finding Nemo"? George
-
"Men in Black II"? George

Very impressive! Johns Hopkins has a great reputation. I've heard that it's in a rather questionable part of Baltimore, though. Make sure Ryan stays alert, especially if he goes off campus. George

My mom once told me that she would have had me deprogrammed if it didn't cost so much! --> George

"3 Ninjas"? George

Yeah. That's why I had to re-buy hundreds of comic books years later at many times the original price. I suppose I should have said, "Don't throw away anything that belongs to someone else without consulting him." At the very LEAST, don't throw away something that belongs to another autonomous adult! George

And Commander Data used it in "Star Trek: Insurrection," but that's obviously not the movie we're looking for. George
-
I suppose the real lesson is, never throw away something that doesn't belong to YOU. George
-
"Sergeant York"? George
-
Unfortunately, THAT line has appeared in about a thousand movies! George
-
Clothes, nothing! Her SHOES take up that much space! :D--> George

I think a more important question is, Why does the woman have a whole yard full of stuff she doesn't need? George

If it ain't broke, I don't fix it! George

Being "in"......ain't what it used to be
GeorgeStGeorge replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
I suppose a better question would be, "How else will we serve God?" The Bible does admonish us not to forsake meeting together, so "Where will we go?" is a reasonable consequent. George -
Have you guys ever heard of 1985 or any movie made thereafter (this after I post a quote from a 1950 flick). This means either 1.) Raf knows every line from every movie after 1985; or 2.) he looked up the quote somewhere and found out it's from a pre-1985 movie. I'd rather just keep guessing, but this quote is unfamiliar to me. (How come "The Graduate" and "Pirates of he Caribbean" quotes show up when I'm offline? Yeah, Steve!, I'm whining!) George
-
Back to the quote. It has a John Wayne ring to it. "The Green Berets"? George
-
"Apocalypse Now"? George
-
Why did you guys delete your answers? I have no idea what this movie is, but at least I'd know not to guess what you did! George
-
"Fried Green Tomatoes"? George

This is one advantgage of getting older. At 20, I wouldn't have looked at a 30-year-old woman. Now, women in their 50's look good; and guess what? So do women in their 40's, 30's, 20's, and (LATE) teens! :D--> George

20,000+ for the VP memorial ROA was probably accurate. I was there; it was crowded. As I recall, there never were as many as 4000 WOWs in a year (even with multiple "waves"), although there was supposed to be some "spiritual significance" for that number. There may have been more than 3000 WOWs at one time, however. George

I wonder if that's true. First, I would guess that most churches are "cults" with small followings. It would be hard to find out which ones have websites against them. The larger churches, RC, for example, probably do have websites warning of their evils, as well. With "a billion" Catholics around (I think that number is as inflated as "5000" Wayfers), surely SOMEONE must have an anti-Catholic website! George
