I am not only new to this site but am also very new to computers in general and am only muddling through even now. Such terms as "post","e-mail", & "chat room" are very challenging to me, especially as far as using these things. My net access may be limited to weekly or even less often so I'll give this a try. I am very thankful to be a PFAL grad, and I am thankful for Dr. Wierwille. My perspective is as a person who did not see the darker things that obviously went on perhaps farther inside the workings of the ministry than I ever saw.

A lot of what I learned in the classes has stood the test of time as far as I'm concerned. As far as the hard times go, speculating on what went on back then, for me, seems foolish and dangerous. However,I don't think any situation as it may relate to anyone I know, or get to know can't be dealt with. It just has to be very personal in order to not speak about things I really don't know anything about.

My most recent experiences have been very hard on me, but I do think I've come out of them with a clear conscience. It did cost me a lot though. In many respects my life is broken. But the experiential knowledge I've gained from being on the recieving end of some very bad treatment has me thinking that perhaps I have something to give. I don't seem like "very much" by any objective angle I can think of, but my experiences haven't ruined my love for God's word. And I believe that that's enough for God to work with, even yet.

My observation is a simple one, God's word is painfully honest about his peoples shortcomings, I think that is very easy to read but hard to handle when the faults belong to self, leadership, or anyone that is closer to me than words in a book.

I hope my first ever posting anywhere on anything isn't blatantly offensive to anyone, I'm really just looking for good fellowship.

dispite ALL the stuff that happeded in twi in a way its very small compared to the way iv ben treated by some of the companies iv worked for. until recently i worked as an electrical foreman. (i am a job supervisor now) construction work can be ruthless,employers wanting the cheapest labor and expecting we the foreman to micromanage. anyway the electrical foreman always catches hell. i know a few guys who will not work as foreman anymore, i decided to become stronger and am no longer affected by other peoples crap. you got to rise above that stuff. computers on the other hand are great!! look at all these neat websites we can visit. until 2 years ago my only experience was with the library computer buying something on ebay,or trying to find drums. then i bought a computer and with practice and surfing and trying different things i learned how to navigate the web. sometimes i spend several hours on the web looking up things. just keep surfing the web goin to different places looking up information ,etc. remember to to delete your browsing cookies. click on tools,click on internet options, click on delete cookies,cookies can slow your computer down. i also experemented with all my settings ,you can always return to factory settings,after a while a computer will become a breeze to operate. i built 3 computers one of which i am typing on right now.

up until about two years ago i had always told all my friends i didnt need a computer , had absolutly no use for one , then went looking for a real cheap new computer , bought a compaq for $399 got a 100 dollar rebate ,used it for a year ,than decided i wanted a faster one with more stuff, looked around, didint find what i wanted, i am an electrician, have my own pa for my band, build hot rod cars, got to thinking(ouch my head) , reasearched different computer components on the web to find out what was right for me ,went to frys electronics store (why would someone name an electronics store frys ??!!! thats like that company named fried that makes speakers. do you sell fried speakers????!!!! fried electronics!!!) got some stuff and build this super fast computer. than built a duplicate, than built a smaller one, none of them are fried yet, imagine that !!!!

I hope you will take some time to do a little reading of the material on the home page here at GS. Running PF@L for people new to the Word will expose them to some significant errors. You might want to reconsider. That class is not what TWI said it was, nor is it what we thought it was. (I first took it in 73) Of course, there is a lot of scripture referenced, and that's nice, but the conclusions drawn from them are often misconstrued and downright wrong. PLEASE rethink running it for people new to the Word. I know I wouldn't want to feel responsible for someone being led astray from the truth of God's Word...and running PF@L would be doing just that.

I STRONGLY advise that you study it yourself first and compare it with the articles on the GS home page.

Having your needs and wants parallel is perhaps the stupidest of all twi doctrines...it made no sense and still makes no sense...it is unbiblical and totally made up...

We were having a discussion yesterday in church that grew out of someone's question about Judas Iscariot. God knew in His foreknowledge that Judas would betray Jesus, but was it a result of choices Judas made, or was he programmed that way by God? It worked its way over to foreknowledge and predestination. Some folks seem to believe in total predestination, God plans everything and you are not really able to make choices.

This would seem to me to mean that nothing is evil, because all things come from God. Wars, pestilence, disease all predestinated and all good, because God gives only good gifts. One woman actually told how thankful she is that God predestinated her to have breast cancer because she has "learned so much" going through this. It would seem to me that if God predestinated me to have a terrible disease, then treating the disease is a sin, because God wants me to suffer and die.

I completely believe that God has foreknowledge of all things. That's just because He's God, after all. But has He set up all our lives before we are even born, and does He pick and choose everything that happens to us? It was suggested that nothing is evil because everything comes from God. I quoted Romans, "The last enemy to be defeated is death" and the pastor and others said that death is not evil. Dying may be unpleasant, but you can look forward to death because then you get to meet Jesus!!!!

It seems to me that there is good vs. evil, and I think one of the most successful weapons in Satan's arsenal is that Christians think God is the author of bad things that happen to us. "Everything happens for a reason," they say. Well, sometimes the reason isn't godly, and sometimes bad things happen to good people because we live in corruptible flesh.

I would never, never wish on my son sickness, disease, or death, and he is not a faithful, obedient son. He says he hates me and wants nothing to do with me, yet I am here for him in case he changes his thinking. If I could do anything for him, it would be to heal his body and his mind, and then just wrap my arms around him and tell him how much I love him. Am I a better parent than God Almighty?

Chuck, your honesty and humbleness is a beautiful thing! I think Waysider made a good call – your concerns wouldn’t be a big deal if you were “lost.” The Evans’ post resonated with me – reminding me of my own crisis of faith and spiritual journey.

The way I look at it – these questions & doubts that hound us come from some place in our mind that was kept in check by the TWI mindset. Just think of all those passages in the Bible that direct us to prove all things, to examine ourselves, to reflect on our ways, to commune with our own heart, etc. Perhaps these questions and doubts have a godly design – like some kind of internal diagnostic system – to keep us honest and humble…and to keep us reaching toward God.

Part of my crisis of faith had to do with realizing much of the stuff I learned from TWI had little to do with bringing me closer to God. It sure was comfortable living in that mindset with the false assurance from their doctrines. But once awakened – there came a sharp sense of emptiness TWI [/b]is similar to the Gnostics who believed salvation was through their secret knowledge.]. Their doctrines not only kept me out of touch with reality – but more importantly out of touch with God!

twi was NEVER intended to bring you closer to GOD and there is no way that would be possible either thats like saying i can bring a man and woman closer together so they can be married,that is something you have to do.all twi does along with the other groups that teach the bible is teach you how to study the bible so you can build your relationship with GOD.it is up to you and me to study the bible to see what GOD is all about and thereby get to know HIM. no effort, no relationship,same goes for a marriage.

After leaving TWI, I began thinking of the Bible as a means to an end [connecting with God] rather than an end in itself [becoming a Bible know-it-all]. This, of course, is an ongoing journey. I wish you the best on your journey!

I left the way in 1999 and since then I have often questioned the authenticity of what I was taught about speaking in toungues, is it real, is it a real gift of God and proves my salvation? I still speak in tognues from time to time but how do I know it is real? And what about the other manifestations? Are they what we were taught them to be. I have thought on these things and wrestled with them so heavily that I know have to be on antidepressents because I am unsure if I am even saved. I believe there has to be a God, but since I left the ministry, I feel like I have no connection with Him, was this all a sham. anyone please help me here, I am at my wit's end.

when you did romans 10:9-10 you got born again and nothing can take that away from you and you cannot loose it!! in the book of peter it says its incorruptible seed,its seed,its permanent you cannot loose it! no one can speak in tounges unless they are born again, and you can be born again and never speak in tounges. my mother took the pfal class in 1983 and never spoke in tounges,she is born agian,she was raised roman catholic and quit going and went to fellowship a few years but quit going because she didint want to go to any kind of "church" any more,but she got born again, she died in 2000 from wegners desiese and is waiting the return of christ,my younger brother never wanted anything to do with GOD but i do believe he was born again because of him doing romans 10:9-10,my dad refuses to to have anything to do with GOD. there have ben times i have doubted if i was really speaking in tounges, however when i interpret and phrophesy i am blown away by some of the things i say that are beyond me thinking up,i am definitley convinced on revelation due to MANY instances concerning different maters in my life where i thought to do things and several times it saved my life from accidents, needed a job and decided to turn down a job offer even though it was a great offer and later that day got a phone call for a job that paid an additional $10.00 more per hour and was closer to where i live(i work construction so that is somewhat temporary)how about doubting thomas in the gospel of john,there are times i thought i got revelation but didnt,there are times i got revelation and didnt think it was and then realised later i should have acted, i am not perfect but i keep on walking ,i dont give up, maybe thats why its called a walk!!you are born again,and no one got scammed by twi, look at the scriptures in the bible. twi didnt write the bible,yes there was a lot of crap that went down in twi and there were some mean assholes in leadership positions but we have weeded them out ,in peter its says false ministers shall come in among you,and you have to speak up if that happens so they can be weeded out,i still go to twi fellowships and can tell you twi has changed dramatically in the last 7 years not the same ministry,and i will also tell you that no one that i know will condemn,look down on,or criticize you or anyone else for not going to fellowship, GOD doesnt condemn either. dont let anything cause you to doubt that you are born again,remember you did romans 10:9-10,you are born again. I spent plenty of time in the Way.I learned a lot about GOD,and his Word by doing so.Enough to know that it was time to leave.

but there were a lot of cool people that did,and still do.

The worst part about the split was the loss of contact to a lot of Great Brothers,and Sisters.I',m thankful for DR. ,and The Way.

I myself am not a part of it any more.That does not change the fact that it change my life for ever.I learned to read the WORD of GOD,To Love my family,and to ask GOD how to roll when I'm in a bind.

The Way went down because,people tried to make Gods out of men,instead of looking to Christ.They Way corp made people think the should get respect because of there positions instead of there walk.If a man is into going to fellowship for respect he;s so wrong.You go,and serve a fellowship, because you LOVE GOD. DR. Loved GOD when he started his fellowships thats why they were so amazing,and grew so fast When all the leadership stuff came in the Way lost it's Love for GOD,by men having egos so it failed.

The first fellowship I ever went to the people just glowed with the love of GOD.They were there because they Loved GOD,

and you could see it.

All I can say is I left because I stopped seeing the Love of GOD in everyone's faces. With all the neg.Teachings that were being

they go to the fellowship that i go to in alhambra,ca. they are doing great,terry still teaches school, and karen still plays the drums,i also play drums and we have a bass player our coordinator is going to learn to play guitar(i think)! they were witnessed to by dave garibaldi and in 1987 i attended daves twig for a while.so much has changed in the last 7 years,this is not the same ministry,no yelling ,no mean leaders,no b.s. ,no legalism ,all that crap is gone,just wonderful loving caring down to earth people,its great!!!

My best days in TWI were under Ed and Sandi Oeding in Oregon! It went downhill so fast after they left it was amazing. I'm sorry to hear they are still in. I really loved them... still do.

dont be sorry they are still in !!! they along with other loving ,caring, willing to help you anyway they can non legalistic great warm, freindly,quality people are in leadership positions now and they along with the rest of us keep an eye open to make shure we dont get infiltrated with bogus leadership. in peter there is a verse that warns of false ministers the SHALL come in among you. i'm in ed and sandi oedings branch and the fellowship i attend meets at there house once a month for our branch meeting. i was invited to live with the oedings for 14 months from 2002-2003 before going way disciple. talk about ordinary down to earth people,thats the oedings.i think i got ed interested in hot rods i had 2 hot cars one ran and the one that didnt was parked in front in the driveway!!!. things have changed dramatically in the past 7 years and a lot was due to weeding out corrupt ,hateful,and mean leadership. i feel bad for those who got hurt and wish people had spoken up , but a lot of people i knew would not speak up about leadership.i speak up !!!you have to grow up strong in the LORD and take charge and be like CHRIST and not let anyone hurt you,look at what Jesus delt with in the gospels,even his own family turned against him. have a great day and GOD bless!

So that's where the ex - Reverend Barb Lally is hiding out. I heard they were mean as hell to believers for a long time. They supported LCM in all his legalism then quietly disappeared into the night with not so much as a goodbye or an "I'm sorry" and have not been heard from since. <BR><BR>I have no respect for that kind of selfish person. And that is the kindest way I know to say it. got witnessed to in jackson mississippi in jan 1980 , took class july 80, tom and barb lally arrived on scene shortly after complaining that they have ben sent back to mississippi nd they didnt like the place.they were the only twig in my area for a while,tom was always nice but barb was always an ...., allways up in my face and everybodyelses for no reason,putting the people of mississippi down putting the state down threating to run people off,etc,etc. 2nd time after wow in 84 i decided to go to va.beach va. the lallys were branch coordinators tom was still nice barb a bigger .... and mean. roa 1995 saw tom and barb , tom was nice and talked to me, barb turned her back to me and would not talk to me,all i can say is good fukin riddance it was way overdue for at least her to be gone she hurt a lot of people and ran a lot of people off. got rid of a branch coordinator here in burbank ca., back in 1996 named steve rauchley what a major arragant .... told me to cut my hair, yeah right!!! my hair remained but another guy cut his we finally got word up the ladder about him and he was fired. some people nver spoke up about .... leadership and that caused many to get hurt and run off. i still attend way fellowships went way disciple in 03-04. most of us these days will repord bad leadership. i dont put up with that crap. i come to hear the word and fellowship with some really cool people. things have really changed in that last 10 years,not the same ministry,its ....in great!!!all the leadership iv encountered in the past7 years are so are ordinary friendly caring people none of this in your face yellin ..... i live with the region coordinator a few years back and that was a fun experience long hair pony tail and all,yep i have a pony tail a friend of mine calls it a horses foot!!!!!!!!!!
