  1. I don't know JL, never did and don't care to, but this reeks of the same attitude LCM spouted. Especially: The only Napoleon complex infested people I have met have been from TWI, CES and other cult-like religions. The mainstream Christian churches are actually pretty warm and down to earth, if not vanilla in most ways. I have found a church I like and the people are interested in helping all kinds of people from all walks of life, regardless of church/religious affiliations. I just don't think you find that in these "off shoots" (for lack of a better term).
  2. How's about post-piffle? I can't remember EVER in my 15+ years with TWI having seen any WC bring a soul to fellowship, much less register one for a class.
  3. WWJLA, I plan to call you this week. :D--> I'm really not as insane as my last e-mail sounded. :o--> I'll be flying in and renting a car. Where should I fly into and what should I bring? I can stop at a grocery store on the way to the park. I can't wait to meet y'all in person! I've been lurking so long I already feel like I know everyone.
  4. One poor guy in our area never even got the confrontation with witnesses (bobbleheaded or not). He was kicked out and then a branch meeting was called so that the entire branch could hear the BC air all this poor guy's dirty laundry in front of all of us. I remember thinking, "Why do I need to know this?" and "What does his family think having to sit here and listen to all this about their husband/dad/son/brother/cousin/uncle/etc?" He got divorced shortly afterwards - shock-shock. I wish I had spoken up or at least woken up then. Chas, our stories are very similar about the confrontation. I kept maintaining that my actions were completely appropriate and pointing out the things that my HFC didn't do or did incorrectly leading to the problems they perceived were with me. No dice. You can't pin anything on a leader especially not a WC leader when you're non-WC. They are infallible apparently.
  5. I got so sick of those reminders of Joshua = #2, LCM = #2 bs teachings. But that does make rosa-lie #3 - does that mean TWI-ts will be COMPLETELY DESTROYED under her reign? GAWD, I hope so!
  6. Thanks, y'all! I wish it was coming closer to my location so i could see it. I guess I'll have to wait until it's for sale on their site. Please let us know what you think when you do get to see it. And, ckeer, thanks for the words of wisdom. I do maintain what I think is a healthy skepticism (sp?) about most everything these days. ;)--> 2Life, I'd love to chat with you sometime about the things you've studied. I downloaded the EFT information and can't wait to look at it.
  7. Someone had posted a link to some local weather page that was "brought to you by" TWI. And they did spend a lot of money advertising. That "pick of the week" b.s. cost them thousands of ABS dollars.
  8. Ex, I think you'd really like it. My cousin says it changed her life. I'm so jealous that she's seen it and I can't even find a flippin place around here to see it. My cousin thinks this is going to be a catalyst for a great spiritual awakening in the US if not the world. I'm very interested to see what Zixar thinks about the movie. It seems to be along the lines of Stephen Hawking meets Paul. Chuck, thanks for the link! I home Imbus posts more information on what she got out of it.
  9. The innies left don't have the guts to ask any more. They've asked millions of times about DM and they get the verbal tapshoe with no answer. They know that they can't ask without getting the spotlight put on them and risk getting in trouble for something stupid. The problem is that they don't see the respecting of persons and the inability to ask questions or disagree as red flags that something's not right. It's truly sad.
  10. Tis so true, Song. I, too, wish I had heeded warnings. The odd thing with me, though, is most of my family and friends could see the control going on and just knew I would buck the system and bolt back to normal. I didn't though and by the time they realized I was in too deep to be my normal rebellious self it was too late to even be able to warn me. My response would have been very similar to yours. I was thinking that people who leave of their own volition and especially when it's due to injustice and lies and such that they already have a leg up on those who were unjustly M&A and confused about why it happened to them and those who just kind of faded away. The people M&A have to get to the point where they can see that it wasn't their fault and that the evil and wrong was in TWI and not with the person being M&A. There's an extra helping of lost self-esteem dumped on those. I in no way meant for it to sound as though any recovery from TWI is easy. It's all difficult. I just think those who were kicked out because they were failing to live up to the completely unrealistic expectations of TWI have en extra dose of "hard" to handle. My ex has been abused verbally and mentally by some in TWI. He has had his self esteem so destroyed by those people it makes me cry, but he still looks up to them like they are gods. If he were to get kicked out it would break his heart and I think he would have a nervous breakdown. It truly breaks my heart, but I tried to help and see where it got me? alone You and I saw the abuse for what it was and took action. I think that's the healthiest way to leave. Thanks for your posts. I really enjoy reading you. p.s. I'm more redneck than southern belle, but Momma hasn't given up on me yet. ;)-->
  11. Has anyone seen this movie or heard anything about it? What the Bleep Do We Know
  12. I agree outandabout. They should look at those full time salaried RCs too. How much are they getting paid and where are they spending it? What other "benefits" are they receiving that the IRS doesn't know about??
  13. I think the difference is that Oldies takes everything TWI says at face value and actually believes them, whereas, most of us are trained on the fine art of reading between the lines and recognizing which 99% of what comes out of their mouths is a lie. ;)-->
  14. Song, I'm so sorry for what you went through. I think, though, that being face to face with the lying and deception of the leaders that it must have been much easier to recover from the bondage of TWI. Thankfully, too, you were able to get your family out in one piece. Did you see it for what it was at the time, or did it take a while for you to realize that we were all being scr*wed?
  15. Okay, I reserved a room and am on the cabin list. WWJLA, It's not a cabin, but the room has 2 beds if you would like to share. Just PT me and I'll give you my e-mail address and phone number.
  16. I dunno what kind of activities you're looking for, but one of my most favoritest ( :D--> )activities in VBS growing up was laying down on butcher paper and having the teacher completely outline my body with a crayon and then I colored Joseph's coat of many colors onto my very own body. (all of us kids did this - not to make me sound like I was the only one who got to do it.) I'm older than I'd like to admit, but I can still remember the teaching and feeling extra special that day.
  17. Can newcomers come to this thing? I can't carry a tune in a bucket or play an egg, but I can cook one! ;)--> WWJLA, check your PTs.
  18. This all went down YEARS ago. As my momma always says, "**** or get off the pot." LCM need to either get back together under the same roof (preferably NOT the corps chalet) or divorce already. They are NOT divorced and this living arrangement it totally contrary to eveyrthing TWI teaches about Godly marriage. DM is RRs personal assistant and she does receive special treatment. She does teach on the STS and she does write articles in the magazine. LCM did lose his corps status, he did lose his Rev status and he is considered a cop out according to the WC I've spoken with. 99.9% of the WC couples who had one person booted were forced to lose their status, very few were granted exceptions to that rule. My guess is they had power, secrets or brought too much abs to the table to be forced to follow the same rules. Maybe if the kids had to go through the same things their parents forced other families and kids to go through they wouldn't be such pansies for TWI. LM is on staff at hq and actively involved in the music department. She's and excellent student of her monther's on how to keep sucking on that TWIt T!t. (sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's how I feel) I think the depth of treachery and deception and devilishness at the top levels of TWI is beyond even our comprehension.
  19. Oldies, I'm sure TWI would be willing to relocate some people to your area and send some WC or WD your way if you're interested. How much did you say you'd be ABS'ing? ;)--> When you left maybe the people were still exciting and fun, but now all that's left are kool-aid drinking zombies. They aren't much to fellowship with anymore and TWI is all you're allowed to talk about.
  20. We have toll roads where I live and when I'm having a bad day or bad week I give the toll attendant $5 or $10 and tell them to keep $3-$5 for themselves and pay for x number of cars behind me. Usually they say, "really?" very surprised and I just smile and say, "Yes, really. have a great day!" The regular toll boot attendants I see daily know me and always smile when I come through even if I don't give out extra money. It's such a good feeling to help someone even in the smallest way. Shelly, this is an excellent post! And good to read you again. I SOOOOO relate to this! I would see something (usually not lined up with the teaching) and get in trouble for not staying on topic or they would go into some long-winded bombastic explanation of all the things I didn't see in the section. If it didn't match TWI doctrine they would just look at me funny and change the subject. How rude and disheartening. Thank God I don't have to go through that anymore. It makes learning so much more exciting.
  21. Wow! That's going for some big bucks. Very old tapes. I wonder what all my LCM tapes would go for.....
  22. All that's been said and, when I was single and encouraged to move in with several other believers I refused. The main reason none of us wanted to live together was TWI was the only thing we had in common and we didn't trust each other. We all knew deep down that Big Brother was alive and well in TWI and you never knew who was going to turn you in for the smallest infraction. I was in no way going to allow people to scrutinize my life any more than already was going on. It's just a shame I didn't recognize it for what it was at that time.
  23. Oak, I'm so glad you've always been there for ME! I'm sorry you had to go through what you did, but glad that I had someone going through the same things to talk about it with over warm brats and cold beer. ((((((OAKSPEAR))))))
  24. Didn't LCM own a few pairs of those extremely expensive shoes OJ is now famous for? He also spent a bundle on the art for his now famous class sets. I'll wager those hotel stays weren't paid for out of his "need basis" budget either.
