  2. thats so much of a giveaway, I refuse to count my getting it as a win. Mash of course.
  3. For my 3000 post, I'll congratulate Derek Jeter on his 3000 hits-assuming his calf heals sometime.

    Yum!

I liked the smell, but not the taste. But then, I was a picky eater .
  6. Maybe everyone from HQ just headed to the nearest big city. I still have friends in Columbus, but I don't think any of them post here. Who's to know though, with these silly names.
  7. ok-next line "ahh-but I was so much older then I'm younger than that now"
  8. Crimson fires tied through my ears Rolling high and mighty traps Pounced with fire on flaming roads using ideas as my maps We'll meet on edges soon said I Proud neath heated brow.. If it's still a mystery, the next line is the one everyone remembers

    Song of the moment

I haven't listened to this in 30 years. Seems like yesterday.
  12. the original King Kong. The only one worth watching in my opinion ( though I know some disagree) Psycho-not nearly as scary now as then, but still an amazing 'little' film with great direction and acting. again-avoid all remakes
  13. sorry-I've been very distracted. Anyone can jump in, or I'll get to it when I can catch a breath
  14. it was 'Sons of the Desert'-Laurel and Hardy sneak off to a convention in Chicago, while their wives think they're in Hawaii.I knew I shouldn't have gone there. Someone else take the next clue. it was 'Sons of the Desert'-Laurel and Hardy sneak off to a convention in Chicago, while their wives think they're in Hawaii.I knew I shouldn't have gone there. 15. You're just not watching the right movies then, George. I'll see if anyone else knows, then reveal it and skulk away
  16. one more- "We must stand united as one in this matter of grave importance. The strong must support the weak. We must be as one to achieve this vital goal...the annual convention next week in Chicago"
  17. Wordwolf is close, but no cigar- "do you have to ask your wife to do anything?" "well, if I didn't ask her, I wouldn't know what she wanted me to do" "I haven't heard from you since you used to sing in the church choir" "and you used to pump the church organ. How are you, you organ pumper, you"
  18. older-I'm going to need to drop a few hints. It's a famous comedy team, in what many regard as their best picture
  19. going way back-and I'll probably be sorry I went here "are you boys telling the truth ?" "That's our story and we're struck with it "
  20. "The Absent Minded Professor"-hopefully the Fred MacMurray-not the Eddie Murphy version
  21. Doc, unfortunately, your situation was all too common. If it helps, it wouldn't have gotten any better had you 'toed the line' and stuck around. Local leaders were forever sticking their noses into anyone who was dating, and finding fault with one, the other, or both. The biggest stumbling block was always someone not being committed enough.
  22. There's no such thing as an 'easy contest' when that much money is involved-there's especially nothing 'easy' about predicting anything in baseball, which is designed to break your heart
