    Billy Graham

Hi WordWolf, I replied to your comment above that was your response to something that Billy Graham said in the video that I posted here where Billy spoke about his beliefs But I have moved my reply to your comment to another thread "May Explain Salvation of Non-Christians" in the Doctrinal section since it wiill very likely take us off-topic of this Billy Graham thread
  2. In the Billy Graham thread, WordWolf wrote: "I do agree with him (Billy Graham) that there are Muslims and other non-christians who DO seek God in one form or another, and I DO think that God Almighty has SOMETHING up his sleeve to cover that." --------------------------------- Hi WordWolf, I do agree with your statement above that 'God Almighty has SOMETHING up his sleeve to cover the non-christians' Without doing a complete study on this subject, here are the major points I see so far in the scriptures that may explain what that SOMETHING may be: Revelation 22:2, speaking of people (nations) on the new earth, gives us the key: "...and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." I believe this is talking about the non-Christians, who apparently do not receive eternal life because of not receiving the holy spirit. They will have natural bodies like we have here on earth, which decay like our bodies here on earth, thus requiring the "leaves of the tree" for their healing. They would need healing from the leaves of the tree, because their bodies are not glorified. For a body to be glorified, it first has to have the holy spirit. But even though they did not receive salvation by receiving the holy spirit by believing in Jesus Christ, here in Rev. 22:2 they are on the new earth in the new heaven. But how do they get to the new earth in the new heaven if they do not have glorified bodies because of not being saved by receiving the holy spirit? It looks like these may be the people who, because of not receiving eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, they had to go through the great judgment at the end of this current world. Revelation 20:12-15 ~ And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Matthew 25:41 ~ "...into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. The lake of (everlasting) fire is for the devil and his angels (and probably for children of the devil), it is not for people who commit sins that are not worthy of eternal damnation. Those people go to the new earth, but apparently they will have natural bodies that decay like ours do here on earth and require healing. And this may answer the question in so many people's minds about what happens to all the people who did not have an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, or who did not believe the gospel, but did not commit sins worthy of the severest judgment of eternal damnation... Isn't it possible that those people, after being resurrected at the end of this world, and having been not judged to received eternal damnation, are allowed to live on the new earth in the new heaven, but in the same natural bodies that they had here on earth? It certainly explains Revelation 22:2 ~ "...and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Certainly the Christians in glorified bodies will not need healing. It makes perfect sense, and may be the answer to that long-held question about all the other people who did not commit sins worthy of eternal damnation. The following verses talk about a change in the physical bodies of Christians, the glorification of the Christian's bodies, just like Jesus Christ's glorified body. 1 Corinthians 15:52 - "...and we shall be changed." 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "...we...are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." Phillipians 3:21 - "Jesus Christ shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body," 1 John 3:2 - "...when he shall appear, we shall be like him..." In the context of these verses, there is no indication that everyone's body will be changed into a glorified body. Only Christians' bodies will be glorified. This is the same kind of body (spiritual body) that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead in. It is not a spirit. The glorified physical body has spiritual powers, for example, in Luke 24:31, Jesus Christ disappeared (Greek: vanished) and later reappeared (Luke 24:36) somewhere else, seemingly out of thin air. In Luke 24:39, Jesus explained to the apostles that a spirit (like God is a spirt) does not have flesh and bones as he Jesus has in his resurrected body that they are seeing him in. So Jesus is flesh and bones, he is not a spirit. This glorified flesh and bones body (with spirit within) is the flesh and bones body that Jesus ascended into heaven in (Acts 1:10). It is the same kind of spiritual body that is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:44 ~ "There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. "The spiritual body is a glorified natural body. The spiritual body is not a spirit, but it has a holy spirit within, similar to how Christians do today. So it seems that the people of the "nations" who need the "leaves for the healing" are the people whose bodies are not glorified before they are taken to the new earth. They will continue to have natural bodies like we have here on earth, which decay. The Christians, whose bodies will be glorified before they go to to the new heaven, will not need healing, because their glorified bodies will be just like Jesus Christ's resurrected body, which is able to disappear (Luke 24:31), travel invisibly, and then reappear (Luke 24:36)... ...And ascend directly into heaven without an astronaut spacesuit, and sit down at the right hand of God the Father.

Billy's Beliefs... Watch Billy reveal his true beliefs on national tv in 90 seconds... 'nuff said, and right from the horse's mouth... Schuller's question: "Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?" Billy's exact words starting at 1:03 - "They are members of the body of Christ, because they've been called by God" - "They may not even know the name of Jesus..." - "But they know in their heart that they need something that they don't have..." - "And they turn to the only light that they have..." - "And I think they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven..." Christian evangelist for 40 years but doesn't even know the most basic doctrine of salvation? Not a snowball's chance in hell "that IF thou shalt CONFESS with thy mouth the Lord JESUS and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED." ~ Romans 10:9,10 Billy's Revised Version: "that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus ("They may not even know the name of Jesus"), and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved ("I think that they are saved")... Matthew 12:37 ~ "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Luke 6:26 ~ "Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets." Schuller ends with: "That's fantastic, I'm so thrilled to hear you say that there's a WIDENESS in God's mercy...." "for WIDE is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction...." ~ Matthew 7:13 Billy & Bob....Beelzy & Bub
  6. Thanks for the link T-Bone The thread is long and alot to digest Will have to do some chewing on that one, and Rom 13 But reading the first verse: "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers." Looks like that introduction could be referring generally to both ecclesiastical powers (exousia - authorities) and civil powers (exousia - authorities)...
  7. Wow, that's 2 times I made people laugh tonight :) But what is LMAO? Leaving Messages Artfully Outrageous ??
  8. I am curious, do you believe that Romans 13 refers to the government of man, not the government of God? I myself do not think of the government as being: "for he is the minister of God" - Romans 13:4 That sounds to me like the government of God
  9. Mike, please stop fictive retelling... Fictive sounds too much like vindictive and as we all know, being vindictive is not nice! Try predictive retelling, which is kind of like a prophetic deja vu Which is kind of like going back to the future, except if you go faster than 88 miles per hour, you get there before you actually get there, which produces a kind of doppleganger effect of your own self which puts a small warp in the space-time continuum (easily repaired with superglue)
  10. Well, you really shouldn't be lying under or over... But no worries, you're forgiven, God told me to tell you.... I know it was him because I saw a snow plow it was parked in front of a gas pump
  11. Thank you for the kudos TLC, glad I finally made someone laugh! Most of the rest are not laughing, but crying... :( The loud cries of wild hyenas as they wait for the slop trough to be filled in preparation of the next gorge... (wait guys, previous comment made tongue-in-cheek, no offense intended, please don't be offended, just joking, really, honest)
  12. Mike, that's lazy conjecture... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike, please stop conjecturing, some people don't like that :( You might try conjuring, that might give others that witch they wish for ? :)
  13. Of course not, didn't you read that I have my super-duper multi-coated polycarbonate rock-deflector already in place? I don't know, you'd have to ask God himself, although I do appreciate that you have such high regard for me that you would ask ME, that's sweet....
  14. But wait, so then every time someone quotes someone else in a comment, is that plagiarism....or not because there's no copyright notice ? ( Copyright GoldStar 2018 ) <- Just in case....
  15. That brings to mind the times in the Old Testament when God would tell the children of Israel to completely wipe out (destroy) other (pagan) peoples And sometimes (not always), the told the children of Israel to take the spoils of war for themselves Of course this is not exactly plagiarizing....but something akin to it... Dare I ask the question? Could God have possibly have told someone to plagiarize something in order to get the word out about it more effectively than the original author?? (I've got my polycarbonate rock deflector in place to protect myself from any possible attacks because of that question - it's just a hypothetical question guys & gals, please don't take it the wrong way......remember, let him who is without sin cast the first stone......love thy neighbor as thyself.....etc, etc, etc)...
  16. Just to clarify... I posted Peter's statement in Acts because it came to mind... But of course without man's laws, we would live in a very chaotic world... The problem is that there are corrupt men who make laws, and thus some laws are corrupt... And if the laws are not corrupt, there are still corrupt judges who judge non-corrupt laws in a corrupt way.... But we still need laws to have a civil society... But God's laws are greater in importance and priority, though not in the lives of everyone....
  17. Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
  18. Thanks for the very vivid description WordWolf I saw the live presentation but of course years ago and the memory of it has faded I don't remember those details you just recounted, thanks
  19. I remember Glad Magazine and the name T#yl#r Ov*rbey, I don't remember seeing the Cat Woman in the bodysuit except at the open-to-the-public event where I saw her in the cafeteria only a short distance away from where the top 2 leaders were being "groomed" I don't remember the ameoba devil
  20. The Simpsons cartoon TV show predicted in an episode 8 years ago (2010) that the USA would win the Olympic gold in Curling, with Sweden coming in second place, just exactly as it happened just a few days ago in reality for the first time in world history... There are some wild theories that try to explain this prediction and many other things that have come true which were predicted on the same cartoon TV show years in advance including Trump running for President. The wild theories include that the producers of the cartoon show are part of a larger worldwide group that has control of systems allowing them to be able to cause things they predict years ahead of time to happen years later. One of the best examples of this is the following video that shows actual clips of the first Back To The Future movie released in 1985 which clearly shows that someone had foreknowledge of the events of 9/11 more than 15 years before it happened: The probabilities that the large number of precise similarities between the clearly "hidden-in-plain-sight" symbolic predictions in the movie and the fact that they actually happened in reality over 15 years later by 'coincidence' are beyond astronomically improbable. Other theories include that secret access to time travel technologies enable some to travel or see into the future are even wilder. The most likely true explanation is 'foreknowledge' by planning by high-level organizations.
  21. - I arrived at my expertise by observing the behavior of MORONS - thank you, you have been especially helpful
  22. - Morons from Outer Space is a very funny movie - But not when they actually show up just to harass
