Thank you Rocky for your feedback. In research so far when using my brain. I need to contact organizations or corporations that have received or perhaps purchased the copyright of the documents that I can quote from to get their approval or at least their feedback. The problem now is that it is very difficult to contact them. Perhaps at least in part because of the virus. The organizations should at least let me compliment them for their definitions while I write that their definitions of Greek words are very factual and that they confirm what I already believed before reading their definitions. Then using my own words for the definitions. Here is an example of the definitions that I copied from the BibleSoft software. I can not even now contact BibleSoft Software. I tried contacting them through their web site yesterday without hearing back from them today. I tried to get their phone number with no success now, perhaps because of the crazy virus. From internet research Vine's was originally written by William Vine with completion in 1940. The Thomas Nelson Publishers perhaps gained copyright of this. I am trying to contact them also via the internet with no success. I wonder if the covid-19 virus also spread to the internet, but I do not think so. Sarcasm by Marky!

I have now almost finished the writing of a biblical study book with the title of "Our Loving Savior Jesus Christ", which may be printed for commercial use. Most of the content I am confident you will agree with. Perhaps as high as 98% or after reading the content and comparing to bible versions, maybe higher. The problem I have now is after learning from Greek words and their definitions or confirming what I already believed about their definitions, I wonder if I will be able to copy these definitions to my book, while giving them clearly written credit for their definitions? For example, two Greek Dictionaries that I use called the Vine's Expository Dictionary and the Thayer's Greek Lexicon. I am having trouble contacting the companies that may have the copyright status. What are your views on giving them credit for their definitions while copying some of their Greek word definitions to the chapters of my book for commercial use? Or should I reword their Greek definitions with my own wording, which might be more clearly understood? Does anyone here have legal information on this?

WOW Waxit and others! Because this is Saturday we got or get to rest and sleep today, Saturday. We even get to worship God. However, I think God lets us also rest and even sleep other days also and not just only Saturday, the day of rest. We also get to even worship God, not just on Saturday, but also seven days a week. I hope that is OK to worship God seven days a week, perhaps through prayer, but I think it is.

Regarding Sabbath, here are scriptures where Jesus Christ stated his views of the day of Sabbath after being accused of doing things even to help people on the day of Sabbath by the Jews. Here are scriptures that showed that the Jews had a crazy and hateful mindset of so called working on the Sabbath day with Jesus trying to correct the crazy sinful mindset of at least one Jew who was healed through the faith of Jesus on the day of Sabbath. Regarding the day of Sabbath being a special day of worship. It looks to me like Jesus worshiped God his Father seven days a week and so can we through prayer.

Perhaps we should congratulate Waxit for a Grease Spot Cafe record for adding a phrase of his promotion and mindset to his posts. Congratulations Waxit!

Perhaps we should thank Waxit for inspiring us to do the research showing that the day of Sabbath is NOT important compared to faith in Jesus Christ. Yet Waxit wants to continually try to add his mindset to the scriptures. As one of MANY examples here on GSC doctrinal. Waxit has a long post with his comments that include accusations to someone named Mark Sanguinetti, yet Waxit does this with only one scripture quote , while again trying to get people to ignore the context of the one scripture that Waxit quotes from, while again trying to add his mindset of the 7th day Sabbath to one scripture. Here is the context of the one scripture that Waxit quotes from while again trying to add his mindset to the scripture. Because I do not have time to write comments now regarding these scriptures because of other biblical research that I am doing with even a biblical book with articles that I am writing. I am instead simply copying from a biblical commentary pertaining to Romans 3:19-31. And this is something that Waxit will again try to get people to ignore, while he adds his Mindset to scriptures. The day of Sabbath is not mentioned in the epistle to the Gentile Romans. Thank you again Waxit for inspiring us here on Grease Spot Cafe to do the biblical research that shows that following the Old Testament law's day of Sabbath is not important in comparison to faith in Jesus Christ.

I am confident that Waxit is not as judgmental and bad as the Pharisees were in the first century when they opposed Jesus Christ and his followers. However, perhaps Waxit promotes the Sabbath day here on Grease Spot Cafe even more than the Pharisees did in the first century. Perhaps Waxit agrees with the Pharisees regarding the day of Sabbath, but hopefully not with as much hatred as the Pharisees promoted the day of Sabbath. As a result of the hatred of the Pharisees, the temple of worship was at least partially destroyed on Jesus' day of death. As a result of the hatred of the Pharisees when they worked with the Roman Empire to oppose and persecute Jesus Christ and his followers, their capital city of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman Empire in about 70 AD and this destruction includes the temple of worship. This was prophesied by Jesus Christ in his earthly life. However, with Waxit constantly promoting the day of Sabbath he might still want to ignore the below scriptures that clearly say that Jesus Christ told the Pharisees that the Sabbath day was made for man, even to help them, and not man for the Sabbath day. This was right after the Pharisees accused Jesus Christ and his followers of not following the Sabbath day. Hopefully Waxit who is able to understand this, will want to understand this and not think that these scriptures should be changed to his mindset. Waxit needs to look at the context of Jesus telling the Pharisees who were accusing him and his followers for working on the Sabbath, that "the Son of Man is also the Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus said this because the Pharisees were accusing Jesus' followers of perhaps even working on the day of Sabbath. Quote Mark 2:23-28 23 Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, "Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?" 25 But He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?" 27 And He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." I have previously provided the below information to help Waxit understand how the Pharisees often promoted the days of Sabbath. The question now is will Waxit actually read these verse along with teaching comments? Please read these verses Waxit. Here are the other verses where Jesus said he was the "Lord of the Sabbath".

Waxit wants to add the word Sabbath to scriptures. The only way he is going to be able to add enough of the word Sabbath to scriptures to match his mindset, especially in the New Testament and the writings of the apostle Paul to the Gentiles, is to come up with his own new bible version. At least Waxit partially saw his error of 84 usages of the word Sabbath in the book of Acts. Because I have very good biblical study software and I even passed 3rd and 4th grade math, I was able to count 9 usages of the word Sabbath in the book of Acts for both the New International Version and the King James Version instead of 84. You people can double check to see if I can count while perhaps still being able to at least pass third grade math. However, perhaps I am cheating now with the help of my biblical study software. Perhaps I should have kept that secret.

At least Waxit is trying to see one of his mistakes. Regarding the Pharisees and their promotion of the Sabbath day. with the first eight usages of the Greek word for Sabbath from Mathew chapter 12 telling of this. Waxit is certainly not as bad as the Pharisees of the first century with their hatred while wanting to murder Jesus Christ and other followers of God and Jesus Christ his Son. I hope Waxit at least sees that murder is a worse offense than not following the Sabbath day. With Paul in all of his writings only mentioning the word Sabbath two times, while not seeing it in a positive way like Waxit sees Sabbath. Should Waxit also feel sorry for Paul and think he knows more about at least the day of Sabbath than the apostle Paul? I previously quoted from Colossians 2:16 and surrounding verses that has the Greek word Sabbath. This shows that people that accuse others of not following Sabbath as a special day should be ignored. Here is the only other usage of the Greek word for Sabbath as written by Paul. Many biblical versions translate this as "of the week" (KJV) , "of every week" (NASB) and (NIV) The context of this day is giving money to poor people that need it so that Paul does not have to collect it. And it says do this on the first day and not the last day of the week, with the last day of the week being the day of Sabbath. Does this show the importance of the day of Sabbath to the apostle Paul?

Perhaps you will need to edit your above comments to correct your math error. Either that or you would need to do the work to create your own biblical version, while adding the word Sabbath to your new version many times. However, every current version has MUCH less usages of the word Sabbath for the book of Acts. I hope it is OK to be factual here. In using biblical reference software, the New Testament has the Greek word "sabbasin" for the Sabbath day. This is Strong's number 4521. There are 68 usages of this Greek word in the New Testament . To help Waxit correct his error there are ten (10) usages of this Greek word for Sabbath in the book of Acts. WOW this is the same number as the original Old Testament law with ten commandments. Of these 68 New Testament usages. The first 8 usages of the Greek word for Sabbath in the New Testament are all in Matthew chapter 12. Please read this chapter as quoted below and see that this was the Pharisees accusing Jesus Christ of not following the law of the Sabbath day. Waxit, please do not act like a Pharisee here while accusing us of not following the Sabbath day. The final usage of this Greek word for Sabbath is Colossians 2:16. This final usage from Paul says that we should not let anyone judge us regarding whether or not we have a special Sabbath day of special worship. These are only a figurative and symbolic shadow of things found in Jesus Christ our savior.

Does John ever mention Sabbath in this letter? Please read the actual text instead of trying to change the actual text with your mindset. In addition to the above text, the word Sabbath is listed 0 times in 1st John with five chapters. In contrast, the word love is listed 35 times in 1st John using the NIV version. I hope we can all at least pass one 3rd grade math test. What is a higher number that obviously shows more importance? The number 35 or the number 0? I am confident that T-Bone can pass third grade math and see that 35 is a higher number than 0. I also can see that and hopefully pass third grade math, while at least being able to pass one math test. Hopefully, Waxit can also pass third grade math, while also seeing that 35 is a higher number than 0. Waxit, I see that you can read and write. And you have written much to support your doctrinal view on the Sabbath day. You can see and understand the following if you want to. The Sabbath day was primarily important to the nation of Israel under the Old Testament law as a method of showing faith in God. It still looks to me like only the prophets had the spirit of God to help their understanding of spiritual truth during Old Testament times. Because of this people needed the help of symbols and actions to help their spiritual understanding. However, because of Jesus Christ and the receiving of the gift of holy spirit for common every day followers of Christ, more spiritual understanding has been passed onto more people. This includes the Gentiles which are every person or nation that was not part of the nation of Israel. Hence people now simply do not need special days of service to understand spiritual things in order to fully follow God. Following God is now simply through following Jesus Christ as Lord. The greatest commandment of Christ was love for God and God's people. Here are the only New Testament words for Sabbath or related Greeks words as taught by and used by Paul the apostle for the Gentiles using the original Greek word, which is "sabbatoon" and "sabbatou" when specifically addressed to the Gentiles. Using my biblical study software this is Strong's #4521. The first usage as taught by Paul involves giving of money to help the poor. The last usage for Sabbath shows that this day was and is not important. People today do not need the day of Sabbath to worship God. These days are only a shadow of what is to come through Jesus Christ.

All I can see is PC Study Bible Version 5. Perhaps I have the in between Version and not the version with the most data. I have plenty of data for biblical study. As I recall the Professional with the most data might simply have more reference data. However, because I purchased the first version years ago and upgraded the version with an additional purchase I get plenty of biblical data that includes Greek text and Greek New Testament words. You can simply check which version is best for you.

Thank you TBone for the information about the NASB biblical version. In writing my biblical articles I also quote from scriptures, while teaching or writing comments about the scriptures. I have not used the NASB version, however I will at least consider using this version now for scriptural quotes. From what you wrote and the following it looks like I should quote a few of the scriptures for at least a few of my articles. My goal is to write a complete biblical teaching book. With T-Bone quoting from the epistle of Romans from the NASB (New American Standard Bible). I wonder if Waxit will complain about this biblical version also? He previously complained about the King James Version that was written in the 1500s and specifically about this version for the epistle to the Romans. Yes the Romans were not under the Old Testament law. They had different laws. Hopefully they would at least through Jesus Christ see the importance of love. The translation work for the NASB was first published in 1963 and finished in 1971. A newer version was published in 1995. This looks like regular English so it should not be a problem for reading the content.

As mentioned by T-bone, good points about the word "like" showing that both involving love as taught by Jesus Christ, have the same characteristics. And this is why Paul did not need to mention the first of the two regarding love in the following verses from Romans. Waxit writes well and has a lot of energy in promoting his favorite doctrine now, Sabbath day. However, with Waxit being able to read and write, it is recommended that he not close his eyes when reading the less difficult to read epistle of Romans and these verses from the New International Version. And it may be sad to him that it does not mention the Sabbath Day.

Waxit, do you see that because the book of Revelation has mostly figurative and not literal explanations, that this writing is much more challenging to understand than the epistles (letters) of Romans and Galatians? Because of the figurative and not literal method of teaching used in the book of Revelation, this may be or is the most misunderstood with differences of views among people in the entire bible. Paul wrote his epistles much more clearly than John did in the book of Revelation. However, I was still able to write an article recently on end times through Jesus Christ with some of it explaining the symbolically written last four chapters of the book of Revelation. For example, when John got visions of 12 gates at the entrance to what was figuratively called the “New Jerusalem”. Yes, “New Jerusalem” would be a favorable explanation with the new heaven and earth for the Jews, but not necessarily for the Gentiles who had a different capital city than Jerusalem. Paul simply wrote his epistles for the Gentiles who were not part of the nation of Israel with the ten commandments. Instead as nations, for example the ancient Greek and Roman, they had different laws, cultures and traditions than the Israelite's. There was no need to mention and promote the day of Sabbath for them. So instead Paul promoted and explained the savior of both the Jews and Gentiles, who is Jesus Christ. You at least see that the greatest commandment is to love God above all and love your neighbor as yourself. As far as reading the bible, there is different biblical versions that were written in updated English for more clear understanding. For example, the New International Version which is less difficult to understand now than the King James Version which was written in the 1500s.

Another scripture that Waxit quoted to try to make his point of the importance of the Old Testament law Sabbath day was James 2:10-11. James was an Israelite that started a church in Jerusalem. Since he was in the capital city of Israel while being raised as an Israelite, James advocated and respected the Old Testament law. However, he did not use this as a weapon against Gentiles, and Paul even thought that James endorsed his ministry to the Gentiles according to Galatians 2:1-10. Galatians 2:9-10 9 James, Peter and John, those reputed to be pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews. 10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do. NIV Again the context of James 2:10-11 is our human relationship with one another. This chapter only mentions wrong actions of hatred among people for example murder in verse 11. However, there was no reason for Abraham to kill or sacrifice his son Isaac from verse 21. To me this is a clear example of things improving under Jesus Christ. Fortunately, God after testing his faith before the Old Testament law, got him to not kill Isaac his son. Also after thinking about this, this deals with the future sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment for the imperfection or sin nature of humanity. Instead of the sacrifice of Isaac, the son of Abraham. This can or should be seen as the prophetic future sacrifice of God's son Jesus Christ instead of the sacrifice of Abraham's son Isaac or any other imperfect human.

The context of verse James 3:4 is our human relationship with one another as seen in the verses that follow the verse Waxit quoted from,. Here is information from the Nelson Bible Dictionary about commandments 4 and 6. Waxit you are really good at promoting your main and primary church doctrine which is the Sabbath day (Saturday). What church do you go to that promotes commandent four the most compared to other church doctrine?

I hope that Waxit at least sees that the sixth commandment of murdering someone should be a higher crime than the fourth commandment of working on the Old Testament Sabbath day, which to him is Saturday. Waxit will see that if he wants to. However, does he want to see that?
