  1. Billy D, Like I said before, and as DWBH illustrated so succinctly above, ... the rest of what you said regarding this topic of CES/STF, ... is crap. :B)
  2. Billy D, Your point re: the daughter is indeed a good one. The rest of your whining throughout this thread, however, is crap. DG, JWS, the Theisens, JAL are in the crosshairs, because they _put_ themselves in the crosshairs. God, I wish that some of you apologists would *grow a pair* and have the mitigated _gaul_ of holding your beloved leader's feet to the fire of responsibility! ... Yee gads, you sound like Mike/Oldies sometimes.
  3. All this garbage would qualify them as being a bunch of ... cults. Right? ;)
  4. ((snickers)) ... I wouldn't tell that to some of the more ... fundamentalist of believers here. But seriously, one does not have to be a 'follower of Jesus' to be against religiosity and religious zealots. But thanks for the intended compliment.
  5. ROFLMAO!!! :biglaugh: Thanks Excie, for the Laugh of the Day!
  6. Sky4it, NOT! I ignore EVERYTHING that doesn't allow for scrutiny and independent thought. A process which admittedly, I do find self-satisfactory. So yeah, guilty as charged.
  7. Sky4it, Hhmmmm, I thought it was only Jesus Christ that was able to stop sin, hmmm? In any event, I find such reasoning you illustrate here to be totally barbaric and loathsome. Stoning and capital punishment to be valid punishments for adultery/fornication? Feh! <_< I, for one, am glad that we live in a more progressive/advanced/moral society than that, ... _despite_ what the Bible says. A 'just and righteous God' my foot!
  8. I can think of a single fingered sign that I can contribute. (Hint! It ain't the lil' pinky! ;) )
  9. I said this before, and I'll say it again: John! Dude! ... Let this ministry thing all go! Just let it go, and retire.
  10. Pond, Two words: Credit Unions The bane of banks.
  11. Good one Hap! Roy, Ever look into what I actually said? When did I mention _anything_ about Blech being a Mormon, hmmm? And when did all this "Commie!! Commie!!" claptrap ever have to do with job loss? Sorry to put it to you this way, guy, but you need to seriously go over not only what you read from us more thoroughly, but also go over what you say more thoroughly, as there is a lot that you're saying that is not only is difficult to follow, but is many times just isn't so. Period. And I'm trying to be diplomatic about this, really I am. Tell ya what. If you really think that America just isn't free anymore, ... try Turkey. Or Chile. Or Greece. Or China. Or even Mexico. (And I'm not even bringing those Islamic dictatorships into my list of examples. They clearly speak for themselves.) America has a helluva lot more freedoms than any one of them, ... even under ((insert ominous muzack here)) OBAMA ((woman screams and faints)), The Evil One. Now when they take off Bill Maher and replace him with Government Programming, ... then I'll listen to ya. <_<
  12. I wonder how many people realize, ... I mean _really_ realize what Communism actually consists of. People who bandy that term around like they determine what (or should I say who? <_< ) is a Communist, and they do it in such a knee-jerk fashion. The same goes for terms like Marxist and Nazi. This stuff has gone on during McCarthyism in the 50's (with no real results), just like it goes on today. And I positively daresay that most people have absolutely _no_ idea what those terms mean. Far more often than not however, those terms are used with about as much maturity as a little spoiled brat going "You're a Doo-Doo Head!!" Why else are people like Glenn Beck so popular, hmmm? What? ... Is that their version of what it takes for America to be Godly again? ((hurls)) If so, they can take your deity and shove it.
  13. If your debit card has VISA on it, you _can_ contest the charges and put a (at least a temporary) stop on them getting your money. This is ALWAYS true, whether the company is mail order, or a brick and mortar company. _Always!_ They then play arbiter where you and Spiegel can then argue your respective cases to them. They (VISA) then decide on who gets the cash. Far more often than not, it keeps ripoff companies from making off with your money. I've done it before.
  14. Tom, Nowadays some people would read your account at Woodstock, and call it ... socialism!! Rock on bro'!

    HTML Lesson

Hehehehehehe! I wonder if those tags will be part of the upcoming HTML 5. ;) Good one Ron!
  16. I came across this little jewel, and I just had to shake my head at the wonderment, ... and had some thoughts in my head that, if I voiced them here on the board, it would surely get be suspended from Greasespot <_< : Really? ... And you actually put that in the form of a question?? ... Like that surprises you? ..... Wow!! Now me, I would yank the question mark out of said quote, and put a hundred exclamation points in its place, ... along with a "Well, D-u-u-h-h!!" after that.
  17. You know, back in April 1987, John L. was fired from TWI, and he went around the country, and letting all in twigs know about what the crap was happening in TWI. (I know about this cause I heard all about it on that tape he made in Orlando (I think it was) in October of that same year, and he was ....ed as all hell at TWI leadership. You could tell it in his voice for sure.) This time he meekly goes to different fellowships teaching and collecting contributions in his can?!? ... Who cut _his_ genitals off and dropped them in a jar? The guy should retire, call it quits, live off of his dad's inheritance, and start a Indianapolis Hoosiers basketball blog. <_<
  18. Ok, so he has a doctorate degree, and has had 26 years as a 'cult expert in mind control'. ... A question, if I may. How many of his theories (and I add Lifton's, Singer's and like theories to this) have withstood, and been accepted by independent peer review groups? Has the APA, the ASA, and other professional peer review groups of scientists, medical professionals, etc. independently investigated, and approved as being medically, clinically, and scientifically valid these mind control theories? (And sorry, but fawning, anti-cult activists don't count, as their opinions are, shall we say, ... biased. <_< ) Or are all the 'mind control cult' theories, at best, an attempt at explaining and challenging the groups that behave in an abuse way, ... yet aren't always consistent in their application of the 'cult' term, especially when it comes to mainstream, orthodox, _socially approved_ groups (churches, organizations, etc.) Uummm, so Hassan's doctorate explains all of this, ..... how?
  19. "Cultic Mind Control: Not just for cults anymore" <_< Never was. ... Just for cults. ... Unless you want to include a swath of groups that reach _far_ beyond the aforementioned 'cults'. Like religion? ... As in all of them? ... I wonder how many people would go for that, hmmmm? BTW, Steve's called an 'expert' re: 'cults'. ... Not really. He's only an expert in his experience in the Moonies, and in the information that he gleaned as to what they were all about. That, and maybe some other stuff as to the field of 'cults', a field that has at least as much hype and bull in it as genuine facts and information.
  20. You know things are screwed up when.... They bluster/threaten about The Power of God backing them up, ... and when you stand up to them, and have them actually exercise said spiritual authority, ... ... they wimp out. Cut and run style! <_<
  21. Yeah well, we all aren't all so dumb either. ;) And this is from someone (namely me) who no longer abides by the "humans are depraved and sinful who can do no righteousness, no, not one" copout/insanity.
  22. I came across this picture, and read the article behind it. This is one wild situation and one brave little bird! (Can you imagine what was going on in the mind of that hawk? ) Anywho, let's let the captions fly!
