A stealth 5-movie title (don't expect a long title.) In this 1986 (2011/1975/2005/2015) movie, an agoraphobic is released from prison (solitary, obviously) for killing a man who tried to kill his best friend. Being released to the world brings personal and financial problems-including how his best friend tries to get him into entirely new troubles. He falls in with a plan to accompany some World War II GI's in search of hidden ex-Nazi loot in East Germany- just in time to escape his sleepy hometown being disarrayed by a mysterious doctor who does strange things. Critics are split as to whether the movie's mechanic of personifying the protagonist's emotions with animations just complicates the story, or is a daring artistic move on behalf of the director and writer. Stars include: Elliott Gould, Howard Hesseman, Jennifer Tilly, Meshach Taylor, Parker Posey, Bruce Dern, Paul Levesque, Michael Rapaport, Telly Savalas, Robert Culp, James Mason, Eriq LaSalle, Steven Weber, Russell Wong, Nia Peeples, Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and Mindy Kaling.

Mrs Wolf and I were trying to get straight which versions did what. We know one Flash went back and rescued Henry and young Barry. We know one Flash went back and signaled another to stop. We know one Flash went back and tried to stop Reverse-Flash (and was signaled to stop). We know one Flash (5/2015) went back and disrupted time by smacking Reverse-Flash. Other than the last one, there can be overlap. Mrs Wolf (who agreed that this will all be retconned-as do I) said that the Flash that saved Henry and Barry was seen exiting the house before 5/2015 entered the house. I THINK the one that tried to stop Reverse-Flash was the one that observed 5/2015 act, beat him to it, made a face showing he approved, then vanished- either by going home or because his timeline was disrupted completely. After all, we're now in Grandfather Paradox mode (Mrs Wolf said it's a Double-Loop that ends the scene in a diverging, different timeline than the previous one. If it's not addressed, it logically should ISOLATE the storyline from the Arrowverse (like Supergirl) rather than damage the rest of the Arrowverse permanently. (I think that thinks too highly of the writers and that won't happen even if it's more logical.) With no Eobard Thawne to go kill and replace Harrison Wells, STAR Labs is constructed on schedule- 10 years after we saw in Season 1. That means Barry has a decade to wait before any of them get metahuman powers from the incident. As Barry has time powers, he MAY be immune to the effects of his own trip, or he may NOT be. Either way, the Black Flashes should go after him for this blatant disruption of time- as should the Time Masters. (We have NOT finished watching LoT, so don't tell us how the last 2 episodes go!) BTW, I thought that Vibe's vision was going to come true by having Vibe blow the doomsday device into an Earth 2 portal and closing the portal. By dooming Earth 2, he would have saved Earths 3-52 since they're not connected centrally to Earth 2 the way they're connected to Earth 1. I THINK we're all in agreement that the next Barry to go back will be the one who stopped another, and will be the one who restores the timeline back to the status quo for the series. Anyone else think they're going to drag out interminably about giving Wally and Jessie their speed?

That was the closest to "IRONIC" that I thought the actual song got. I wonder if anyone explained that to Alanis Morrissette anytime. (However her last name is spelled.)

Sorry, I don't usually follow zombie stuff. I liked "Shawn of the Dead", but that's about it. I saw the first few episodes of "TWD", but lost interest around when it was becoming clear it was a planet-wide disaster. I don't follow movies/shows that are guaranteed downers-I want some hope and some chance for a happy ending of some kind. I don't need to turn on a TV if I want something depressing.

OK, here's something we haven't done yet. (With good reason.) A stealth 5-movie title (don't expect a long title.) If I am correct, these 2 actors I'm thinking of were both in the movie called.., *checks* oh, good, I was right all around. The Hard Way Michael J. Fox Scavenger Hunt Back to the Future

I should see more than 30 seconds of that movie one of these years. Thinking of a new one.....
-
Movie? This was "Purple Rain," of course.

You've got it- Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away." I was listening to the Rolling Stone's cover when I was posting.

"My love bigger than a Cadillac. I'll try to show it when you're driving me back. Your love for me got to be real. A-for you to know just how I feel." "I'm a-gonna tell you how it's gonna be You're gonna give your love to me. I want to love you night and day, You know my loving [TITLE]".

In this case, I don't know if she can, but I doubt she's trying. I think she's trying to live off an intact twi while there's one.
-
vpw "sold" the family farm to twi to both be able to pocket the money and to still have the use of the farm. In the short-term, it served him, and in the long term, eventually, they'd lose the farm when twi came crashing down completely. However, he was able to "run out the clock" and get what he wanted while he was alive. Once he was dead, what did he care who lost what? rfr is "running out the clock." She has to keep the organization alive both on paper and enough of it in physical existence that she can keep using the assets of twi. Remember, she basically gets slave labor- a cook, a maid, etc. all for nothing on top of any salary she gets. So, as long as twi exists, she gets all of that. She's hoping its slow fade into oblivion slides into oblivion more slowly than she does- and that she won't be dumped and cut out like Mrs W and so many others were. If she had a conscience, what she's doing would bother her. Those of us who believe in a God can take some comfort that she's not fooling Him even if she's fooling the IRS.

My honey, my baby, don't put my love upon no shelf! She said, "Don't hand me no lines, and Keep Your Hands to Yourself." As you mentioned, also George Thorogood. Next song. "My love bigger than a Cadillac. I'll try to show it when you're driving me back. Your love for me got to be real. A-for you to know just how I feel."

Movie bromance? Let's see.... Must be a Kevin Smith movie. How about "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back to the Future?" *applauds as instructed*
-
Bravo, T-Bone.
-
Next song. "Yeah, the other night I laid sleeping And I woke from a terrible dream. So I called up my pal Jack Daniels And his partner Jimmy Beam."
-
I think this is "Taking it to the Streets," by "the Doobie Brothers.
-
That's the movie. But I thought your clue was a stretch-I didn't see the connection and I knew the answer. But it's your turn.

In this 1941 (2005) Terry Gilliam movie,a pair of brothers were conjoined twins, separated as children but still linked in some way. They traveled and con people, performing bogus exorcisms in French-occupiued Germany in the 19th century. When they suddenly encounter the real deal, it takes all their swashbuckling skill and their courage to face the curse. Starred Douglas Fairbanks, Matt Damon, and Heath Ledger.
-
BTW, that may have been the real name of the song, but John Cougar Mellencamp titled it "Pink Houses." You know, when I was in college, I knew somebody who smoked these guys....
-
So, no, without any exorcisms or curses, this wasn't a reference to Karamazov. (Unless there's a version of the movie that REALLY deviated from the book....)

Here's a movie we've never done! A pair of brothers were conjoined twins, separated as children but still linked in some way. They travel and con people, performing bogus exorcisms. When they suddenly encounter the real deal, it takes all their swashbuckling skill and their courage to face the curse.

Odd, since I've heard "Homeward Bound" earlier this year and don't think I've heard "I Feel for You" this DECADE. *looks it up on wikipedia* Interesting. The song version's credited to Shaka Khan with Mellie Mel of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Hw/oB was on the right track, because the Pointer Sisters did record a version of this on the same album AS "I'm So Excited." (Also the album's name.) However, I actually got the title as well as an artist, so I got the nod. According to Wikipedia, it was originally a Prince song, and the Pointer Sisters and Shaka Khan did the only known covers. Ok, next song. "Well, there's people and more people. What do they know, know, know? Go to work in some high rise And vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico."

I keep confusing "Man on Fire" with "John Q" and think of only 1 movie with Denzel Washington. Since you didn't describe "John Q", I led myself way off course on that one. Ok, what show was it that featured Topo Gigio? *thinks* Aha! Old Horse-Face! So this is "The Mister Ed Sullivan Show."
