  1. I smirked, and I may have snorted slightly-I was in a hurry when I read that.
  2. Linda Richman Pat Arnold Donnie Shulzhoffer Stuart Rankin Kenneth Rhys-Evans Maurice Pitka
  3. Since everyone's been so sharp lately on this thread, I was hoping for a moment of confusion. George thought the "Pat" I mentioned was "It's Pat", but that's a different Pat. Actually, I'm less a fan of THAT Pat as I am of this one (at least a little.) I'll add more names this evening. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves in the meantime.
  4. Linda Richman Pat Arnold Donnie Shulzhoffer
  5. It is, and he did. Wasn't in the script, either. Pacino claimed someone in the crew suggested he say it.
  6. Numbers in movie titles can be inconsistent from place to place, also. Here, all the Star Trek movies have a number reference in the movies, at least thru the reboot.
  7. Didn't recognize Walter Blunt, but I had a vague recollection of Picard invoking Captain Ahab, and having Patrick Stewart play him later. And he played King Richard in "Robin Hood-Men in Tights."
  8. And now she does voice-acting? Hollywood is strange.
  9. It was Rita Moreno. (Once you tried, it was the obvious actress.) The children's show "the Electric Company" traditionally begins with the "Hey, you guys!" yell. And Rita Moreno's voice was recognizable as the yeller all through the 70s. "Anita" was the role she played in "West Side Story." She's been in a LOT of roles, although the roles are usually not remembered by name.
  10. Hey, you guys! Unlike Frank Nelson, you know HER name.... She's an award-winner, come on... Carmen Sandiego Sister Peter Marie Reimondo Violet Newstead Lucy Chambers Liliana de la Vega Dori Newman Amalia Duque Frances Goren Luisa Diaz Anita Rita Capkovic Rita Ramirez Gladys Gordon Kimberly Baskin Congresswoman Madelyn Woods Luisa Diaz
  11. How many of those can you actually NAME? Especially ones with long enough careers to win all those awards and be a household name?
  12. I didn't consult him at all. However, I think his "problem" with what you posted was what he said. He claimed that he had to get through "vitriolic spew you start off with" to get to your point. Perhaps that's overstating the case, but your first paragraph really DID go off on a tear with the colorful language you used to describe vpw's felonies and misdemeanors. It was a bit of work to get through it- and that's coming from someone who agreed with every word but might not have piled all of them together in that particular post. It's one thing to be antagonistic towards vpw who did all those things. It's another to be antagonistic towards other posters. I don't fault you for having strong feelings but the people who disagree with you have them also, and there's no need to descend into name-calling (from anyone.) You're an adult and can choose to dial it back a bit whenever you want.
  13. You also missed my very first clue. She's won the Grammy, the Tony, the Emmy and the Oscar. She's won a competitive Oscar, Emmy and Tony for acting. Only 2 people have achieved both distinctions, she's the only person currently living who's done it. Look over the names of the characters. Can you deduce any kind of pattern from some of them? I suspect Raf did before I posted a role he was able to connect to an actress....
  14. She has a full name. You've heard of her. She's more famous than virtually all her roles. I remember her winning an Ace Award. She's won 2 Golden Globes, and a LOT of other awards. She's got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Children and adults recognize her or her name, depending on specifics.
  15. Now, now, all the gentlemen and ladies here can post like gentlemen and ladies here, we know that. (For those who might have considered otherwise-for the rest, carry on being genteel, folks...) Someone asked about discussions on "ordination", as twi saw it. Here's what my google-fu skills turned up:

  17. No, it's more that I don't listen to Everclear that much- but more than most posters here. You posted enough of the lyrics, if not for that.
  18. Yeah, the one about the chick with the potato chips, maybe.
  19. That's it. The entire show's run was 39 episodes. Decades later, clips from Jackie Gleason's show were aired as "lost episodes", but that was after about 4 decades of the other episodes airing without them.
