  1. SAY WHAT?!?!?! Talk about blatant bull2#!t!!!! You were treated like snot if you hadn't gone to the advance class by a certain time, or tortured yourself through WAP X number of times...and that's just with those sorry, boring classes! Heaven forbid if you told those *******s you had some personal problems; you were fair game!
  2. If anybody's interested, "War of the Worlds"SUCKED like a jet engine & Little Tommys' acting did nothing for it.Don't waste $9 on this weapon of mass boredom...hell, it ain't even worth $.99 clearence at the local market. Shame on you, Spielberg!!!!! :(--> H.G. Wells is spinning in his grave.
  3. Hi Catcup. Thanx for the thread. The Mrs. & I celebrated our tenth revolution around the sun together, & while IMO TWI was a good foundation to build on, they are not "all that". What they turned out to be is a nosy, two-faced, lying, sorry excuse of a cult whose spineless members will attempt to insert their noses into areas they don't belong...if you let them!!! More than a few Wayfer "clergy" have told my Mrs. that she was too "bossy"..."headstrong"..."mouthy"...right. These were men married to women that had all the attraction of cold lumpy oatmeal. If you didn't see them smile, you wouldn't know they were there. I've had to check them before our departure...1)I'm in charge of my house. I'm not some spineless jellyfish, nor do I have so much testosterone in my system that I can't ask my wife for advice or counsul. 2) I know who I married. I married her; you didn't. If I'd wanted your wife, I'd have married your wife. We have common interests, yes; but we're not twins...yeccch, boring. And, to me, the biggest thing that kept our marriage together while so many other Wayfers were under strain, or split, is that we talk to one another!!! The biggest mistake we (and many of us Greasespotters) made was confiding in some Wayfer we thought we could trust, only to have what we shared thrown in our faces. I look at how derVey has destroyed marriages, then told the remaining Wayfer how "Godly" they were, how they refused to let the adversary keep them from _____________________ (insert bull**** Wayphrase here)& wonder how these legalistic a**holes sleep, & what Wayphrase they think God is gonna buy when they finally stand tall in front of Him?
  4. Hello all...been a while Read the last pages here, & after having run into some wayfers in the last 90 days, I can't argue with any of the reasons people have named here. It's almost tragic, the ones who cling to the "no where else to get the Word" lie. One other reason I didn't see was those who are just too pig headed to see that the S.S Way has indeed sunk & continue to be the stubborn, prideful, sorry *******s we knew when we were in. But, as the Mrs. sez, "That's on them; we've moved on." So, Ha*ve actually posted on the evil Internet...so that explains the snowfall here...
  5. DISCLAIMER I HEREBY ACKNOWLEGE THAT MY SITUATION IS THE EXCEPTION TO TWI, AND NOT THE NORM. I ALSO ACKNOWLEGE THAT NOT ALL MARRIAGES ORGINATING IN TWI WERE NOT HAPPY OR SUCCESSFUL. I ACKNOWLEGE THAT MY SITUATION IS A RARE EXCEPTION & NOT THE RULE IN TWI. (there...that should keep me from flamed too badly! :)-->) I was married in twi by twi clergy (who was later slandered after he left) in a twi ceremony. We've watched twit leader$#!t attack & actually split married folk for ridiculous reasons backed by twisted scripture; we were hit BEFORE we got maried 'cause she was a "advanced class grad" & I wasn't (GASP!). And yes, the missus acknowleges me as "da head", but we also know that she has strengths in areas & I have mine. We discuss, talk over, and we agree; no "Me-um heap big chief, you do me say." Nine years & counting. (To hell with twi)
  6. Grizzly, What twi did you leave? Hell, the one we left not only frowned on twits dating "unbelievers", but worked overtime to split married "believers" when both didn't toe the line.
  7. Welcome, Nameless. RUN AWAY FAST. "I am a real strong headed and can't see myself getting sucked into something like this." Yeah, all of us here at the 'spot were. Like Bob Marley said, "Don't let 'em fool ya". Twits will be REEEAL kind & lovin' right up to the point where they throw down the our Way or the highway ultimatum, & if you say no thanks, then you instantly become the worst thing since AIDS. You doing a search on them was good thinking. The questions the other posters have listed are damn good (watch the twits sweat as you ask...).
  8. Go back to twitland? Maybe when gas drops to .75 a gallon and Ford brings back the Mustang Boss 429 (a 1970 in black, please) .
  9. Leaders admit they were wrong? While they were still leaders? Not to my knowlege. Now, once they left twitland, yeah, no problem (the ones who approached me were sincere, can't speak for anyone else...). And this "spiritual anger" (very prevalent in twit leaders#!t)...was that a all-purpose whitewash for the dumba$$ rants they used to go on?
  10. The bookstore open to the public... Oh, I am sooo there. :P--> The last resort of the desperate for cash, or the result of some legal action (they didn't do it voluntarly). But, as some have stated, why would anyone with two functioning brain cells buy any of their mind-numbing, plageristic, egotistic crap anyway? Ebay fodder? Landfill? Emergency toilet paper?
  11. Wonder1, welcome. No, no church/religion/ministry is perfect. Unlike twi, any group that truly has the word of God at heart will admit that a wrong was done. No leaders#!t in twi will do that at gunpoint; they will twist it & make it look like YOU messed up, point out where you "blew it", & generally make you feel like you're scum of the earth. Twi has also contradicted what the word of God teaches. One area is marriage. Twi has gone into double overtime turning spouse against spouse in the guise of protecting/cleaning the household, even to the point of "suggesting" divorces, yet offering no support to those going through the trauma this brings up (hell, they would even declare them spiritually weak or some other twiterm and throw them out). Been there, sucessfully fought just as hard to save my marriage. Take some time & go through the Spot archives. YOU determine what's what. Finally, try this; If you're still in , tell your leaders#!t that you're reading/posting here at the Spot. See what happens. Again, welcome.
  12. Sounds to me, Mikey, like you're licking something else besides wounds.
  13. What did I start? :)-->
  14. Hello. Long time, no post(various computer problems...) In my area, around the mid-'90s (TWI II), there allegedly was a person the missus & I knew well who allegedly was HIV+ (no leaders#!t would come out & say so, word got out through the grapevine). Of course we were "consuled" (ORDERED!) by leaders#!t not to question them because they were under such stress. Fast forward 3 months later...the limb Nazi reports that a twigger in the limb was delivered from a "major health issue". I secretly approached the person & asked them what was what...they had no idea what the hell I was talking about...they went for a job physical & had a small ulcer & the doc gave 'em some pills...cleared it up, end of story. Go figure.
  15. Ah yes, the "don't give to second rate/designer causes" days... I don't give to everyone I encounter, but much much more than the Waydaze. There was a guy with a sign that read " I'm not gonna lie, I want to get a beer!" I laughed & gave him a couple of bucks; at least he wasn't scamming. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  16. You can enjoy the pride of home ownership. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  17. Chewster, Maybe I'm an exception to the rule, but I'm A+ & I lost 30 lbs. on Atkins. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  18. Where to start?... Theme from Dragnet -dum da dum DUM B.B. King - The Thrill Is Gone SteelyDan - Hey, Nineteen Stevie Wonder - As (Many people, me included, thought the title of this was "Always") Temptations - Take your pick- Can't Get Next to You, Psychedelic Shack, Ball of Confusion, Just My Imagination... And on, and on, and on... ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  19. Where to start... Going on the 'Net(after being told by leaders#!t NOT to) & finding out there was a second lawsuit besides the Allen lawsuit... The "ministerial insurance" lie... The way local leaders#!t acted like such a$$holes post-Allen lawsuit... Wanting to schedule my life down to the millisecond... Hearing a Korpse Nazi slander a family that I knew for years that left 'cause of the Allen lawsuit... Having some non-Korpse b!t(h attempt to wreck my marriage with the FC's blessing... Hearing LCM say at a rush-rush tape playing that the BOD & his family forgave him (in other words f**k what Joe/Jane Believer feels or thinks)... When I finally realized the Jesus Christ wasn't in the equation. ad infinitum... ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  20. Zix, Saw your Top Ten ways Not to be asked back. Good!! Here's one I ACTUALLY did on a witnessing Gestapo blitz- I was sentenced with a older person (no, going with the missus made too much sense), me heart wasn't in it (as usual), & I'd had enough of it. We were in a mall, & as we walked by it, a light bulb went on... SCARE THE S#!T OUT OF MY PARTNER!!!! I darted into a knife shop & asked the clerk to show me the biggest knifes they had-Bowies, foils, broadswords, axes, & some assorted accessories, like collapsable batons, butterfly knives. Yes!!!! Spent 30 minutes watching my partners' eyes bug!! Got a "You're not there to play with knives" speech, but never got forced witnessing again. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  21. I saw "Nemesis" earlier today. It's been said that the even-numbered movies are the good ones...there's a exception to every rule. If this is the swan song of TNG, the genius of Berman, we should take up a collection to have Roddenbery cloned. Yes, the Spiner-stroke scenes were cut, but there was still enough to inflate his already gargantuan ego. And while I would NEVER give a plot away (to those who haven't seen the trailer a thousand times the last two weeks), I do have two points I'd like to bring up; 1) Little Wesley Crusher. In the movie he's in uniform & a Lieutenant. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he run off with some inter-dimensional traveler in a TNG episode? Or is this a case of money talks & bulls#!t walks? 2) Worf. I KNOW he was last seen in the DS9 finale boarding a shuttle with Chancellor Martok for the Klingon Homeworld after resigning from Starfleet to take the post of Klingon ambassador to the Federation. What, being a diplomat doesn't pay more than a Lt. Commander? I'm a little curious as to how Slick Rick is gonna twist this timeline. Also, look for a surprise BEEHIVE ! (that's all I'm saying) Zix, I thought that USS Archer was weak. B-4...B-Arrf. This movie was rather crippled, even at a matinee. Hell, bring back Kirk. It was done for Spock... ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  22. Fruitcake is good even in the New Heaven and Earth. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  23. MAYBE, MAYBE Janeway (I had high hopes for her after she dumped that grandma beehive hairdo). I had hope that Sisko would get a ship command but he was swept away to the White Fog Room; IMO, the stupidest series ending since Rosanne!!!! How the hell can you end a series with a vague cliffhanger!!! Was this the "genius" of Berman? And yes, TNG was full of PC, feel-good, non-offensive, bland thoughts. Spock and McCoy on 1701-D would have been bored to suicide. And Troi...was she designated the bridge T/A after Denise Crosby left (the dropping neckline of her uniform in the fourth season...I'll never forget Adm. Jellico telling her to put on something "more official"). The technical thing...I don't know. Remember Scotty was always tinkering this or discombobulating that to get 1701 ("No bloody A,B,C, or D" ) through something. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  24. Not being funny, but is he really that bad? I know nada about him other than he was the one that orchestrated the death of Capt. Kirk ( I had mixed thoughts one that one: yeah, Shatners' toupee (RUG!) was a bit corny & his time was up, but to have Jim Kirk die in a corny accident like THAT ?? what happened to the 'ol blaze of glory?) From other things I've heard, Berman is driving away the loyal fan base of Star Trek & intent on shaping it in his own twisted image, doing away with all things Roddenberry. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
  25. NO!!! Please, I beg of you. I can tolerate Capt. Archer for only one hour at a time, for free. I can't see myself paying hard-earned cash to suffer through a full length 'Enterprise' flick. Give me "Attack of The Killer Tomatos". HOWEVER.... Being the model builder that I am, I will take a kit of Enterprise NX-01. That will round out my fleet. P.S. Is the opening theme (Faith Of The Heart) an original done for that show or a re-make? I was in my local grocery store & I heard Rod Stuart singing a version of it. ...on the 8th Day, GOD made the Harley, & it was Good.
