  1. Rosalie is some sort of control freak. If she had it her way, she would micro manage personal needs out of people's lives so they have "more" to give to the way ministry. She was the one behind the scheduling nightmare inflicted on TWI's followers in the late 90s. I was at HQ during the Allen lawsuit when the orders came down from Rosalie that they no longer could legally collect personal schedules from staffers. They were breaking the law all along and could have cared less. It took the Allen lawsuit to get them to back off. Prime example of how sick these people really are. With Rosie as the head sicko.
  2. He changes names of some folks, but not the names of those at the top, and those he interviewed - unless they specifically asked him. And, ditto. He lays Wierwille bare on an unprecedented level, and based on interviews of those who were key players at the time of Wierwille's rise.
  3. She certainly acts like this, but there is nothing sweet about the old bag.
  4. That was certainly an eye opener. Kahler interviewed a lot of key players from the very early days of TWI. His work will fill in a lot of missing history that the way would rather not tell us. It really blew my mind. It exposes VP at another level.
  5. I got the one for $5.99 and downloaded it right after I paid. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/kkahleratverizondotnet
  6. I went through the way corpse program, coordinated a dept. at HQ, and was on the presidents cabinet for two years during Rosalie's reign. Let me tell you from first hand experience from having access to Rosalie and witnessing all the so called "changes" that have supposedly made TWI better. It's all about avoiding more lawsuits. Rosie has worked with their lawyers for years to bullet proof their cult from being sued. The Allen lawsuit scared the bejessus out of them, and Rosalie will make damned sure they are never that vulnerable again. Now, one might surmise that she is doing this to help people, or from a genuine desire to make things better because she has recognized errors in their ways. That would be a dead wrong assumption. She has made these changes very grudgingly, and only because she basically has had to in order to dunk TWI in formaldehyde. Anecdote: During one of our weekly cabinet meetings with Rosalie, she went on a rampage because someone who was clergy at HQ skipped the Sunday teaching service to go to their kids little league championship game. She plainly stated during her rantings "that she HATES all the changes that she has had to make in the way ministry since the Allen lawsuit." She would prefer to have things the way they were during Craig's reign, where she could now be the WOG. She loves controlling people's lives to the minutest of details. People in TWI are just a means to an end to further all things TWI. And people are still disposable. Rosalie takes great pride in being a scheming, manipulative, snake in the grass. She even jokes about her maiden/middle name Fox, in the she is sly as one. There have been no genuine, godly changes in the way TWI is managed. If anything, it's a cult that has morphed into a religion in order to survive. They have damn near deified Wierwille as some great man of God, and Craig has all but been erased from TWI's history. They have all huddled around an alcoholic, sex addict who was the shepherd who screwed the sheep.
  7. I devoured it in four days. I have the .pdf copy and sent it on to my wife. I am going to go back and reread it now. Thanks!!
  8. Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, OldSkool decided to order "The Cult that Snapped." ....just devoured five chapters of the book that so many of you have recommended. Sure to start threads soon, or revive old ones. Peace!

    the end of the world

The day isn't over just yet.
  10. Sounds fun!!! Merry Christmas, Chock, and all else! We are doing a large prime rib with Yorkshire Pudding and various other dishes. And of course entertaining a house full of family, close friends and a neighbor or two.
  11. We were manipulated by our own desire to do the right thing before God. I completely feel used up in light of my participation in ministry programs, and such. I mean afterall, if you really want to be committed to God...then do this... :rolleyes:/>/> Our best motivations were used against us to further TWI. Sadly, that's the end of it. The same started happening to me. Funny thing is it happened right about the time Marindale was exposed and I began to question things. I still hung in there for a decade longer telling myself I could change it from the inside. Pffft. Not in my wildest dreams can I make that which is crooked straight. Again, same here. When I first came onto GSC I went out of my way to hide who I was. I was afraid of retribution from HQ, or that the last few "friends" I had inside TWI would desert me. HQ can bring it on, and I have no friends left in TWI. They all deserted me anyway. Good riddance. Yep. Same again. Instead of crying, I was usually mad. Mad at the hypocrisy. Mad at how people were treated and abused. To cope with things I drank. Not getting smashed per se, but definitely enough to numb it all out. Pffft...two drink minimum was my motto. I agree. Like you, I walked in those same shoes. In the end, I fought my way out of it and am finally getting to the place that I rarely think about TWI. Heck, I hardly post anymore just because they are the furthest from my mind. Just a bad memory, just a distant cornfield cult, run by two bitter old lesbians who lack the fortitude to come out of the closet and be honest with their lifestyle. Oh the hypocrisy of condemning homosexuality and being one yourself. But, I digress. I gotta agree with you on the family thing. I would never encourage anyone to burn bridges with their family, because we all know that if TWI has their way, the family members will turn their backs on their own who do not support TWI. I appreciate your post for it's honesty. I am not sure which direction I am going faith wise. I am on hiatus at the moment and may stay here for a minute or two.
  12. IMO - there have been so many arguments in this thread, and they have been so emotional, that most anything discussed at this point has the potential to turn argumentative. No fingers pointed at anyone either. Just an observation.
  13. Happens to me all the time.
  14. This can't be a serious argument. If you guys are serious putting it forth you should probably reconsider. I can think of not a single verse of scripture to support this, if we are being Biblical in describing what God does and does not do. Really, extend the argument to miracles and healings. Jesus healed a man born blind. The proof of what he did was the man could see. God didn't strike him with blindness when people were investigating what happened to him. So why would he make a non-language a language and vice versa because a linguist is involved?
  15. I was serious in my question. How does this operation of agape actually work and why would it change modern SIT into the real thing?
  16. I know, right? I'm not trying to be overly picky with semantics, it's just that I think the terminology takes something God is, love, and makes it sound like machinery or an automobile. But I am sincerely interested in knowing how it is operated. And how does this change modern SIT into Biblical SIT? If I understood the list of maybes correctly from Allen.
  17. Someone please chime in and correct me, I think it was from Craig's way of abundance and power class. Either way, I have been taught that while in the way international.
  18. I just want to throw something out there. In TWI, and I don't remember where at this point but I think it was in one of the classes, there were anecdotes given of people being in a fellowship and understanding the "language" spoken during someone manifesting speaking in tongues w/interpretation. Now as I recall, the person who understood the language was blown away because the language was spoken so perfectly. First off, has anyone ever met one of these people? Second off, if the language spoken is perfect, then shouldn't the language pass linguistic analysis? Just saying.
  19. I would first feed my right arm to wild dogs before having anything to do with TWI, Wierwille Jr - grandJr., offshoots, etc.
  20. I'm just trying to figure out what the h3ll everyone is doing. And what's up with all the gibberish...is that supposed to be SIT?
  21. I know. I can find myself still somewhat drawn to his good words on first read, then I get this bristling feeling and the urge to run.
