  1. I revise my statement, this actor definitely was in Trumbo.
  2. No, this has nothing to do with cars, just bullets.
  3. "Well, I don't know but I've been told You never slow down, you never grow old I'm tired of screwing up, tired of goin' down"
  4. Close enough. The failed attempt to assassinate President Andrew Jackson happened as a result of not one, but two, pistol misfires. Richard Lawrence, a house painter stood behind a pillar near the entrance to the Capitol Rotunda and waited for President Jackson to emerge, when he did, Lawrence stepped out and aimed a derringer at Jackson's heart and shot, the cap exploded and the powder failed to ignite. A misfire. An aging but outraged Jackson charged toward the assassin who had taken a second pistol out and fired it again but it too misfired. At this point Jackson beat him to submission with his case. Historians have noted that the derringer pistols were prone to misfiring in wet weather. It was a wet day. A U.S. congressman Davey Crockett was one of many bystanders. You're up George.
  5. Anyone? So what's extraordinary about the Andrew Jackson assassination attempt? What do think happened? And no, it's not Andrew Jackson beat the assassin silly with his walking stick.
  6. I just listened to Country Girl the other day, the full album in fact. "I'm going, I'm going, where the water tastes like wine"
  7. Top Gun "You're NOT fast enough for me" ......"Today I am"
  8. First, let's get this straight. This actor did not appear in Trumbo. So then carrying on.. Confessions of a Shopaholic Patriots Day The Artist Sea of Love Flight Freshman Orientation
  9. Bruce Almighty Jennifer Aniston Office Space
  10. Oh this is the thread I've wondered what happened to it. Then, okay.
  11. I know you're kidding around WordWolf, but I can't see where this guess is going. Is that some sort of shade for the color white in Morocco? Or maybe it's deeper than that, perhaps a word play for the wedding dress that a princess would have worn on her wedding day? WordWolf you may have used this quote on this particular clue before but I don't remember what it means.
  12. Thanks WordWolf, I recognized that when you crossed out a character for another one. I was going to post but I couldn't make my mind up on what to post.
  13. The last line from this movie is "Looking good Billie Ray"......."Feeling good Lewis".
  14. Technically, it is the same artist Steve Winwood, but he was in another group when they recorded this song.
  15. Not sure how reliable the source here is ( I*checked*, confirmed), but who was the first U.S. president to have been involved in an assassination attempt and what was extraordinary about it?
  16. I should disqualify myself as it isn't the right artist.
  17. Steve Winwood, The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. I knew the High Heeled Boys part in the name of the song but I wasn't sure of the whole name. I looked. Should I be disqualified?
  18. Glad I was able to chime in to catch this song by ~~Crosby Stills & Nash~~. Sweet Judy Blue Eyes. I would have got it on the first line had I seen it earlier, but mostly because I've always been a freak about their music. He bag production, he got walrus gumboot He got Ono sideboard, he one spinal cracker
