  1. I wonder if Raf would have gotten any of those obscure movie lines or not, lately he's been out of the loop. But if anyone wants to post anything they can go for it.
  2. It's obscure for sure, but most of the songs on the "White Album" are just that. Obscure. If you listen to "Revolution #9" it comes off completely unlike "Revolution" even though it's the same song. The White album was a compilation of things that the band had laying around and with a little genius on the part of George Martin and because the "Fab Four" weren't into being "Fab" anymore, some songs like this one, "Honey Pie", "Helter Skelter", "Savoy Shuffle" and "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" remain obscure today but it highlights the eclectic achievements that the Beatles were always about.
  3. Ah, the writing on the wall then, so to speak. Thanks George. How's that for a diatribe? Thanks again WordWolf, I learned something I didn't know, even it was just Spanish. And I think it's been no secret as I've alluded to this from time to time that I don't consider myself particularly academic, and there are so many things that I'm still learning that I don't know about, most assuredly the result of my lack of applying myself at a younger age, and as a result now, I've become somewhat (no, not somewhat but) I am now an Opsimath who's trying to learn some things I should have picked up on earlier but didn't. You guys are great. Thank you for the listen.
  4. WordWolf we know it's not whatever 'White House' is, but what we do know that it is is a movie line from the iconic Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman movie "Casablanca". I'm curious to learn then however, what correlation there was, if any, between the "White House" and what links "Casablanca" with it. I'll wait for your response, and I'm curious what it is that you have to say. I hope that there is something to it and that the "off the cuff" comment,. if it is one, is a prelude to something that I'm not aware of, and now, more to the point......I know that you know, WordWolf, what movie the line "Here's looking at you, kid?" (ad-libbed I believe) is from, but I wonder what made you post White House? Ad-libbing, kidding, and ribbing aside, I would imagine that the classic "Casablance" movie line is in every list of "Top Movie Lines of All-Time" and at-least at somewhere in it's top ten. So, I know you know it. So, was Ingrid sleeping with President Roosevelt? Or maybe, Mrs. Roosevelt?
  5. Well, yes that is a quote but I was using it because it was fitting to the latest round of quotes.
  6. When Principle Rooney is at the school in "Ferris Bueller" and let's Sloane go home with Ferris (posing as her dad) then, Ferris asks, "Do you have a kiss for Daddy", and upon seeing them kiss, that is what the Principal says! "I guess you guys weren't ready for that yet". Unless someone wants to keep playing, then I suppose I should give it up to a FREE POST.
  7. Big hint: It's from the White Album by The Beatles.
  8. That line is about the construction of a similar object but no, that is not the movie WordWolf. One of the lines I think for sure is from a movie you guys have seen. The others probably not. But in your case WordWolf, that never seems to slow you down from what I can tell playing here. Am I right, have either of you seen Training Day or Hard To Kill?
  9. Usually if no bites are taken that means no one has a clue, especially after 5 days. "She was a working girl North of England way Now she's hit the big time In the U.S.A. And if she could only hear me This is what I'd say [song title], you are making me crazy I'm in love, but I'm lazy So won't you please come home"? 10. Tina Louise will turn 90 in a few weeks. Is that crazy or what?
  11. You're right that's what I was thinking it was. Can't come up with this yet?
  12. Very well, here's a couple of those I posted.. 1. "Two pair ! Two pair!" "Three of a kind beats two pair you dumb truck." That's from a poker game in the movie "Training Day". 3. "I'll take you to the bank! The blood bank!". This is from the Steven Seagal movie "Hard To Kill". 6. "It's a dangerous thing, ambition. It practically ruined Mickey Mouse's career". 7. "Can I get you gentlemen something more to drink, or maybe something to nibble on, some Pizza Shooters, Shrimp Poppers or Extreme Fajitas? Just coffee! "Okay, sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays" ! 8. "Hmmmm, so that’s how it is in their family". 9. "Harold. Harold! Yes, what is it? You're staring at my tits. "I wa... I don't think I was. I don't think I would do that. If I was, I can assure you it was only as a representative of the United States government". 10. " As the Pyramids testify to the Egyptians, so my glorious erection shall represent our culture in perpetuity! Behold, rising before you, the greatest erection on the continent! The greatest erection of the age! The greatest erection on the planet"!
  13. "She was a working girl North of England way Now she's hit the big time In the U.S.A. And if she could only hear me This is what I'd say [song title], you are making me crazy I'm in love, but I'm lazy So won't you please come home"? Oh, [song title] My position is tragic Come and show me the magic Of your Hollywood song You became a legend of the silver screen And now the thought of meeting you Makes me weak in the knee
  14. Okay, but let's wait a few and see if anyone picks up on any of them first. Otherwise sure.
  15. Thanks Raf. Isn't the title of this Ann Murray song in the lyrics you left George? If so, try again.
  16. Yeah, you got it. The quote is from someone stranded on an island and he finds a friend named Spalding. What's there to not get George? It's Tom Hanks from "Castaway".
  17. Cedric The Entertainer First Reformed Ethan Hawke
  18. I've been looking at the sequence for awhile and I'm not coming up with any pattern . Three pairs of numbers each add up to 13, I couldn't find it but I thought it might have something to do with the number 3. But what, I don't know? Difficult teaser George.
  19. So, here are some obscure but memorable movie lines. I'll leave five lines from movies and I'm asking for two right answers to win the round. 1. "Two pair ! Two pair!" "Three of a kind beats two pair you dumb truck." 2. "To get a hold of the police you dial 9______1_______1______ then just tell them to bring an ambulance, or a hearse if you're gonna kill me". 3. "I'll take you to the bank! The blood bank!" 4. "Are you suggesting madam that there exists a law compelling a gentleman to lay hold of canine bowel movement"? "I'm suggesting that you pick the poop up". 5. "What if what I said was true? Hypothetically speaking, if I was part of a story, a narrative... even if it was only in my own mind... what would you suggest that I do"? "I would suggest you take prescribed medication".
  20. "She was a working girl North of England way Now she's hit the big time In the U.S.A. And if she could only hear me This is what I'd say [song title], you are making me crazy I'm in love, but I'm lazy So won't you please come home"?
  21. John Wick 3: Parabellum Common Street Kings
  22. Rocky "Yes! Look what I have created. I have made fire. I...., have made fire".
