MJ, I agree with most of what you said but I don't beleive the people have the say about our country. Its the polititions who think they have our say, thats why they will say anything to get elected. But on the other hand its my country and I love it. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else on earth. BTW I would rather have a loving dad like him than one of those men that beat their wives and kids every time he drinks or sometimes just for the power it gives them to do so or just because he can. I saw many little kids get pretty bad beatings with a wooden spoon while in TWI. My freind never hit his kids, he loved them and they they were good kids because he loved them not because they were scared to death of him. The gay man I was talking about earlier in this thread was married at one time and had 2 kids by that marriage. These 2 kids are very well adjusted, and they loved thier father very much and are very successful, the boy is a full professor, and the girl is a businesswoman also successful. They had no problem accepting who their dad was. He was just that their dad who loved tham and was always there for them. He was even good freinds with his ex. I agree with coolwaters.....gay marriage should be a legal contract between two people of the same sex. My best friend that I grew up next door to was gay and lived with his partner for over 25 years, he died of a heart attack just last Feb.2003 He was in the TWI for many years and was accepted by VPW. Was in the 6th corps, wow several times. He was very feminate so wasn't hard to pick off. He left TWI volunarily because he met his partner of over 25 years. They each made legally binding contracts to leave everything to whoever survived the other. This man had more love for God and Gods people than anyone I ever met. I miss him so much, we had so much fun growing up together and I thank God for his love and friendship. So I beleive they should have rights of survivership. Yes even social security benefits. Do I think Homosexuality is right no I don't, but I don't hate the person just don't care for the act. Some of the nastiest people I know were heterosexuals eg. LCM...He was the worst of the worst and many others. But maybe I'm getting off the thread, I don't know. As to poligamy.....most of them have so many wives and children that they can't support them and therfore are on welfare, which we pay for. They ARE a burden to society unless you like your high taxes to go to them. Very few gays are on welfare, so economically they are not usually a burden on our pocket books. OK I've had my little say about this so cynic have a go at me and leave our dear exxie alone. If you had one once of the love she has you just might be tolerable. And I agree with most in here that the least you can do is speak plain Inglish, you can even misspell a word here and there just like the rest of us do. At the 1994 ROA we as tc coord. were told that we better get our whole twig to the rock, we had a very large twig and most were going anyway, but we had a 16 year old boy that didn't have the money to go, so we had to take him and pay all his expenses. I didn't mind doing this but I did mind being told I had too. Beating a one year old? A 1 year old can barely talk, so how much damage could a 1 year old do to get a beating like that. He should have been arrested for child abuse. I bet that kid will run away as soon as she is old enough. I once saw a man beating a baby 6-8 mo. old. I walked up to him and told him if he didn't stop I would call the police and report him, the poor baby's hand looked like it went thru a meat grinder. The mother came up as I was holding the baby who by the way was soaking wet and filthy, she started to rile on me and I just said maybe I should take this baby to leaders and call the police. She shut up and let me change the baby and clean her up a bit, she had a terrible diaper rash. It was all I could do not to smack the both of them. My little son Jimmy had an IQ of 152. We had to put him is a private school and he was skipped from the 2nd grade to the fourth grade and if he had lived they were about to look for a school for gifted children and I can tell you for sure he was not possessed, he sit when he was only 6 years old. So TWI put that in your pipe and smoke it, also all my kids had IQ's over 140. And they all sit and love God. We refused to sell our house in 1995, and were told that we were material minded, of course having the big mouth I have I said when LOY sells his chalet then I will sell my house. Thay went over like lead ballon. For this and other reasons, like refusing to go in the corps, not letting them come in and inspect our house, keeping our financial affairs to ourselves, and much more, WE decided to leave and start living.
