  1. Chatty why the face???and mr. satori... yes.. you have beared your soul here... wow... i've got to do this more often!!!I'm assuming the song that spoke to you lyrically was the second song??? the one with the fairy like person at the beginning of the video? and Dooj... OMG... crank it up??? oh ... now she has competition... a monster has been created :o interesting... as I was typing this.. i read this advertisement just above this box here that said... BE PART OF JESUS.interesting way to put it.things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................ok... morning post... Joann.. there is interesting art in this video - pour toi.. enjoy!
  2. Satori, the 5 last videos you posted were all canadian musicians... are you trying to tell us something? is there a theme? the videos you posted before the last 5 i feel reveal something about you mr. satori. interesting.
  3. going to see him this saturday :P :P Don Ross
  4. Catcup, This Randy Ginn you speak of... is not Canadian. His wife is though. He and his wife were coordinators here in Canada for years. Up here in Canada, Mr. Ginn also left a path of destruction wherever he 'pastored'. I know for a fact that many Canadians including myself were almost destroyed because of this monster. Thanks for being so open and forthright here. It is refreshing ... unlike some people who feel they need to write lofty spiritual books.
  5. MMMM.... Gordy... Now... one of the hardest things to do is to find early Gordon Lightfoot on youtube...since video's weren't the thing when Lightfoot was making his music... most of the stuff is much older Gordon... Now I found .. Mountains and Marianne... that someone used on video of their road trip... hope you enjoy.Early Lightfoot...nothing like it... he recorded albums as early '65
  6. For you Dooj.... a Rain song... from a local Torontonian... Amanda Marshallenjoy!
  7. Whenever God Shines His Light...
  8. Doesn't get much better than this...
  9. There's a gazillion songs I could post of Van's ... but this song... The Beauty of Days Gone By... just gets me ... right to the bottom of my socks...it's not the greatest of videos... but the audio is still pretty good.enjoy...
  10. Soooo much music...so little time...sighMr. Music Man,Thanks for the posts...I found this... this is something I had albums of and listened to tons of a while back. This David Greenberg played for a string emsemble called Tafelmusik which plays on period instruments and does Baroque music. David then branched out and incorporated Classical with Celtic. His first album was called From Bach to Cape Breton. Interesting approach... breeching the two types of music.
  11. Dooj... wow...intense song... I had never SEEN it performed.. of course owned the album and all but to see him sing it.. Too COOL andloved the CSN And dougie... loved it... the pretenders!
  12. Mr. Music Man.. nice to see you here in these neck of the woodsWas watching some videos tonight and got thinking about you... Nickel Creek to be exact! Here's someone we haven't formally introduced around here yet ( I don't think we have anyway)...
  13. Dooj, The Regina Spektor videos are a delight to the eyes as well as to the ears. Thanks for posting more of her stuff. Can't keep up with your posting ... sheeshhh sooo much to listen to and so little time... sigh...

I came up with this Jayhawk's tune but the video is of a japanese cartoon... so I've decided to post the song ONLY You Look So YoungThis is the lead singer Gary Louris video... This is Gary Louris, lead singer to the Jayhawks
  16. Dooj... nice lyle lovett... so smooth!
  17. Nice videos MR. '73 ... I have been pondering Dylan for some time now... And I forgot to mention here that it was Dougie who got me on this Dylan thingy... so he's to blame.. Bryan Adams has had a remarkable musical career. He's a canuck too! :P Here's my all-time favourite Bryan Adam's song:
  18. Hello,I've been thinking about this thread lately. Like I said... so much music, so little time. I was actually saying to myself, there should only be one music post allowed per page and the rest comments. That way we'd all get a good taste of each musician and/or the particular song. But I realize, that is not realistic, since there could a song NO one would have anything to say and that would offend the poor poster. :( I just listened to the John Prine/Iris Dement song that Dooj posted. My admiration for John Prine never ceases. His ability with words and the way he puts a song together is humbling. He connects. To me it is obvious that he has never allowed his place in the musical world to forget about what life is all about. Thanks PB for warning the posters here about me ... I have been holding back I must say. There are days/nights I could post like the music junkie I really am, but I have been controlling myself. I think Dooj has been doing a good job though all on her own! Also, sorry about the double posting mention... I thought perhaps old age was kicking in.. I did watch a ton of Dylan videos last night... interviews, songs, early early stuff, stuff he did with Johnny Cash. That was interesting, since I know Cash was a huge admirer of Dylan. At one time, Johnny Cash gave Dylan his guitar. What an honour for such a young man.
  19. I PROMISE...this is my last ... but Joni on the Piano... and messages... many messages.
  20. OK... I couldn't resist... this is her time with Graham Nash .... Blue was written about him... The second video is just another one of my many favourites of this lady.
  21. OH .... so much music and so little time! Harry and of course Tom Chapin... I must search for his stuff ....OK... Back to Dougie... you introduced the great Joni... well... Here's a great little clip of her life... The first video is a biography and the second is the actual song that the first video ends with. California...one of my all time favourites. Enjoy
  22. NOw.. the DIVA of ALL Diva's ... move on over Celine and Shania... Here comes a little scottish lassie... with LOTS OF POWER!
  23. PB... you posted this earlier .... but it's a beautiful rendition... Chatty...thanks for thinking of me... when i first heard that song .... i was off and away... Kathy Mattea stole my heart the first time I heard her on the Johnny Carson Show... that's dating me I know.. but it's where I used to hear lots of my musicians for the first time.
