  7. Mr. Music Man (Millerman) God.. that guitar that James Taylor is playing .. I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT!!!! I wonder which luthier built that guitar for him??? I know of a Canadian Luthier who lives in Nova Scotia now who built one for him... I wonder if that's the one??? the sound is just outta' this world! thank you for sharing that video with us
  8. Pond, Oh god... all these thoughts came flooding back to me when you posted this. Oh that fear of the 'WORLD' and its evils. Holy shmoly... what a place to be in my head! I remember having those fears. People out to get me, the devil sitting there, working through those corporate monsters, through my family, my neighbours, my old man friends, through my co-workers...lurking... all pawns working for the devil...unbeknownst to them of course...but nevertheless...all pawns! And the devil's goal...to work through these people in order to rip that WORD right from under you. OH GOD... what paranoia  Pond...it will come... with time and knowing you can trust again. You will find that peace.
  9. Dooj, Kool video of Cheryl and Sting... and Sting playing the upright Bass... I gotta send this to hubby...he's going to think it's mighty cool. He saw Sting last year. Thanks
  10. Frank, wowza... I'm not ignoring your post... you are right... we had NO friends when it came to the word... even those IN THE WORD... you never knew when your best friend in TWI could turn on you...so you walked around, being oh so careful and very very on guard as to whom you'd open up to or be with, since you never quite knew where you stood with your supposed friends. One day you could be having a marvelous time, the next they could turn on you like a viper, or better yet, the MOGs could make some statement about your friend and their spirituality coining them possessed and unfit for human existence. My experience with 'friendship' in TWI was basically this: Hang out, be friends, get close, share hearts, friend becomes more LOYAL to TWI and their agendas, friend snitches on you for 'sharing negative things', you are brought to an inquisition type 'meeting', you remain 'friends' with your so called friend and tell yourself "They did it because they loved ME", you spend the rest of your time NEVER trusting that human again and slowly walk away from the friendship. sad sad sad pathetically sad that I stayed so long and ate that S.H.I.T.! Kit, GREAT point... I ditched many many many people in TWI after the P.O.P. ... pretty much turned them over to the 'devil'! How Christian of me!
  11. Dooj and Sider... NOTHING MADE ANY SENSE IN THAT PIECE OF S*#T SO CALLED 'MINISTRY'.... GRRRRRRR ... DON'T get me started!!! ahhhhh.... back to music.... that's better
  12. I saw Feist on Friday night... here's a clip of the concert... From her new album... 1234 You gotta love this video!!! Waysider... thank you very much for the John Hurt... I have some of his stuff... he is sooooo cool!!!
  13. Dooj, when i was in that insane cult called TWI... I was told that Moonshadow was a devil spirit.
  14. Ok...I just checked this guy out.. Todd Snider.. cause he's going to be playing at the blues festival i'm going to in july... listen to this story!!! It's a good one... I was in stitches!!!
  15. this is the coolest group... WILCO Dougie 73 sent me some of their stuff today...so i thought i'd share some with you!!! thanks Dougie~!enjoy!more....
  16. Hubby concurs that it's Scott Lafaro. He was Bill's first bass player. He died young in a car accident. I'm told Bill had a very hard time getting over this loss. Sad.
  17. Waysider, I feel like I'm home... with that Bill Evans... Hubby has a ton of his stuff... and is always playing along with his bass or trying to play the tunes... on the piano... Bill Evans... a league of his own!!! I heard Norah Jones say once in an interview that she always wanted to sound like Bill Evans, but she ended up always sounding country. I thought that was cute. I was just watchin' that video and they zoom-in on his face...and he has his eyes shut. Can you imagine just feeling your way thru that stuff.. sheheshhhh... boggles the mind
  18. Ooops.... I just realized I said that that song was appropriate ... to RG ... when it was supposed to be to ACT 2. Duh  Sorry if I added any confusion anywhere. so much music... so little time!!!!! :(
  19. Rainbow One,Glad that was appropriate... I just wish i could have posted the song... I need someone to re-educate me on how to post a song on this place! Dougie,Ray Ray Ray... oh wow... I saw him at the Montreal Jazz Festival 2 yrs ago... what a life changing experience. The anguish in this man's voice can take you places you never knew existed...And ... Nathalie Merchant... well... how can you go wrong... so much music so little time ... sigh This video is a little long... but really gives you a taste of Ray... enjoy!!!
  20. Mstar, A VOICE OF AN ANGEL.. she is actually spoken of in the circles of Nashville as such. I was introduced to Alison some 10-15 yrs ago... I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I have seen her twice in concert now and the last time she ended to concert with the Living Prayer song ... done I believe with only 3 guys from the band and a spotlight. Not a dry eye in the room. She says that these Ron Block songs are her favourite and it shows...because she sings them with such great conviction. And she is quite the accomplished fiddle player. She did win (I think) the USA fiddle championship. You can't go wrong with Alison, in my books! and... I LOVE THAT OLLABELLE... KOOL!
  21. Act 2, I have a wonderful song for you appropriate for graduation... it's called : MAY I SUGGEST by Susan Werner... I wasn't able to find anything on youtube and I can't remember how to post songs... from my itunes... so i'll just post the lyrics for now. If someone can remind me of how it's done..by all means... MAY I SUGGEST Susan Werner May I suggest May I suggest to you May I suggest this is the best part of your life May I suggest This time is blessed for you This time is blessed and shining almost blinding bright Just turn your head And you'll begin to see The thousand reasons that were just beyond your sight The reasons why Why I suggest to you Why I suggest this is the best part of your life There is a world That's been addressed to you Addressed to you, intended only for your eyes A secret world Like a treasure chest to you Of private scenes and brilliant dreams that mesmerise A lover's trusting smile A tiny baby's hands The million stars that fill the turning sky at night Oh I suggest Oh I suggest to you Oh I suggest this is the best part of your life There is a hope That's been expressed in you The hope of seven generations, maybe more And this is the faith That they invest in you It's that you'll do one better than was done before Inside you know Inside you understand Inside you know what's yours to finally set right And I suggest And I suggest to you And I suggest this is the best part of your life This is a song Comes from the west to you Comes from the west, comes from the slowly setting sun With a request With a request of you To see how very short the endless days will run And when they're gone And when the dark descends Oh we'd give anything for one more hour of light And I suggest this is the best part of your life
  22. Mstar,Sweet... Nickel Creek.. I have their albums... i was sadden when they split up... but their albums are impeccable... produced by no other than Alison Krauss.. you can certainly hear her influence in their music...with that said.. lets do some alison ... Ok...the second song.. .written by the guitarist next to her... Ron Block has written the MOST beautiful Christian songs I have ever HEARD... get the kleenex out!
  23. wow JOE Fair... now there's a name a haven't heard in a long long long time! these ladies... well... they're just different and soooo interesting... The Be Good Tanyas.. .enjoy!
