  1. Excie... wow.. your bird is laying eggs cause it's happy it's home... how sweet.. um.. about the pic thing... it usually shrinks the thing when it's too big.. meaning when you post it here.. it shrinks it for you when it's too big... that's what happened to mine anyhow. can't wait to see the pic
  2. Chas... Thank you.. froggy survived that mess but barely. I have no idea how some of these people can wake each morning and look at themselves in the mirror. Have no idea...
  3. Dear Catcup, I cannot help you with filling in the blanks to your mysterious happenings on the wow field, but after I read your story I had a few questions. Was your wow sister Stephanie pretty? Was she a cutesy type? or one who may have allowed herself to be preyed upon ?? The reason I ask is that after so many weeks of hiding ... it is amazing to me that Stephanie ONLY receive an 'A$$' kicking or was she kicked off the field? Or did she just not return because she no longer wanted to come back? The reason I ask these questions is because I clearly remember a certain corps person who had disappeared from in-rez... and had even stolen money to boot from petty cash. We were all assembled to be given the details and people were asked if they possibly knew of her whereabouts. A few weeks later (it may have been months) she returned... was reunited with the corpse family and all was forgiven. This ALWAYS boggled my mind... how could she manage this and return??? Stolen money??? wow.... if that were me, I thought, I would have been publicly hung to dry by my feet and humiliated for every one to see. As it turns out, she was a beautiful girl (striking would be more adequate) ... and I believe (because of other accounts that I know of today) that she was one of 'vp's' girls or at least... one he desperately wanted to get his mitts on. This may have been JUST the opportunity that allowed him to get his way... a sorta' blackmail... Come back honey... and service me and all will be forgiven. A few years later, I met this woman at a ROA. She had married some red-neck yahoo character and was pretty much living a 'hillbilly' lifestyle.. sporting knee high black rubber boots (on a clear sunny day) and a disheveled appearance... she was clearly no longer the woman I had known her to be a few years before. Was Stephanie at all 'devastated' when she had her A$$ kicked? or was she sorta' indifferent??? If this were the case, this could certainly be some telltale signs to her being taken advantage of. of course, these are my speculations and observations only.....
  4. My first and true personal 'scream-fest' from a Corpse Coordinator came in my first and ONLY year in the 12th corps. I had witnessed MANY scream-fests... but never directly and/or personally aimed just at me... but my day did come. After Christmas (HO HO relo  we must have been absolutely stupid to think that outfit was NORMAL... with lingo like that!) I enthusiastically joined a Way Productions dance group (don't get me wrong .. I'm not a dancer... but many of us weren't we just like to perform and liked music).anyhow... before we even got together for our first meeting, I'm guessing a few of the elder corpse had gotten together and decided on the music. So we started to rehearse and all seemed well. The song was chosen and decided upon. The song was WE ARE FAMILY... by the Pointer Sisters.Now.... a few weeks into this ... our 'production' group is called for a special meeting in the Sunlight room. As I arrived... PL (corpse coordinator's wife) was standing there having a good belittling of the group telling us how we were all kicked out of Way Productions because we had picked such a song. Didn't we know that the Pointer Sisters were all LESBIANS :o I listened.. hung my head and said to myself.. oh well another thing gone to crap ... figures! As I was leaving i heard my name called... It was PL ... she wanted to speak to me. I said ' yes'... that's when she started... It doesn't surprise me that you were a part of THIS group. It doesn't surprise me one bit... blah blah blah blah... as she got louder and louder and louder... and started to publicly tell me about all inabilities and so forth. Then she started to say... You're not a FIREBALL!!!! That's your problem!... You haven't proven to me that you belong here... YOU"RE NOT A FIREBALL... YOU"RE NOT A FIREBALL... and she got louder and louder and now she's yelling at the top of her lungs... (with the worse breath ever I might add)..I just stood there... thinking to myself... the only thing that ran through my head was (like a voice talking to me)... Me, do not listen ... do not listen to this person.. if you do... you will be destroyed... do not listen... (as in... don't take it in... don't accept it)So I just stood there looking at her yelling and getting more and more out of control. When she stopped... I think she asked me if I had anything to say.. (i'm not sure)... anyhow.. I managed to squeek out these 3 words... What's a fireball??I thought she was going to explode She then said... See what I mean... and she walked out in a huff... in complete and utter discuss.I left... shaking barely alive... and went to class. Moments later i get a tap on my shoulder from one of their henchmen... i'm asked to see her husband JL... I go to his office... He says, "My wife just came and told me she didn't like the way you spoke to her."... She of course was no where to be found. That was the beginning of the end... I was gone outta there by May of that year and this was early January. It really pointed out to me that this place was poison...that to be true CORPSE person and leader that you had to lick their boots and kiss their a$$es...I couldn't...I left .... I couldn't resist... had to add this.... face melting ... i think this guy took lessons from vp and lcm... he seems to have their bullying tactics down to a science

  6. OK... .. I hate when this happens but I discovered a band tonight... called The Subdudes... these guys have been producing albums since 1989... sheesh... where the HECK have I been??? Stuck in a cult perhaps Another DAn...Thanks for the Bonnie Raitt...The Queen of Blues... and WHAT a guitarist... I saw her perform in 2005... Montreal Jazz FestivalShe said during the concert (she was quoting a friend of hers) ALL MUSIC is BLUESRock and Roll is Blues on DrugsGospel is Blues gone to ChurchJazz is Blues gone to CollegeAnd The Blues is just the Blues :D
  7. Dougie... ahhhhh Kathleen.... reminds me of the John Mayer concert I saw a few months ago... Kathleen opened for him... Sweet memories. OH.. PB... what are doing???? you performing??? where???? OK... c'est tout!
  8. In the first video that I posted.. yes...
  9. Abi, You're killing me girl!!!! No offense PB... The NORDIC type. If only I had known that an avatar would summon such wild imaginations I would have never picked a slimy green amphibian for mine. Many here on GS I have seen pics of or met. But one mysterious person I cannot figure out what he looks like is SATORI... hm....now there's a puzzler. I suppose for me when I first arrived here on GS ... I was very curious as to what people looked like. But after so many years... I just go with whatever my brain happens to conjure up that day. Heck, I remember thinking Shellon was a black woman 'cause she kept telling me she looked alot like Woopie Goldberg. So you never can quite tell. :o Actually, nowadays, I kinda' forget about people's looks. Strange isn't it... it seems that the words paint enough of a picture for me. Actually, often when I finally get to see that person, it's almost disappointing... since I had pictured them like some here mentioned... Marilyn Monroes or Svens of the North. I'm not saying that you aren't all very handsome and attractive individuals. It just seems our imaginations run to the 'glamour' people of our world. Bizarre isn't it??? Now, I must admit Abi... Roy... to me... was not what you pictured at all. I pictured Roy as being small in stature, small frame, greying hair, about 140lbs, outdoorsy type.
  10. Another favourite song from the same movie... Django Reinhardt ... You gotta love this!
  11. Couldn't resist....One of my favourite movies done with one of my favourite musicians...I'm such a sap! Check out the comment about Johnny Depp... I MUST AGREE WITH THIS PERSON! MERCI, MERCI, MERCI to them I say!
  12. Hello All! Mr. Music Man ... glad you saw the videos! OK...I'm going out on a limb here. First off it was not available to EMBED on this you tube video...so I have to do it the ole' link way. David Bradstreet is a Canadian folk-songwriter/singer from the 70's. His first album brought him great acclaim up here...(not sure about the USA markets). Unfortunately, this album is not available at this time to purchase...but I keep checking. :( I found a video on youtube and thought i'd share it with you. It's from 1975 and this is one of his big hits from his first album. Many other musicians recorded this song and made lots of money from it. It's a beautiful waltz. Note the canuck hippies TRYING to waltz in the crowd! I apologize for all this trivia but I always feel compelled to explain these things as our Radio Playing Content is different than USA. Radio stations here must have 33% canadian content playing on the airwaves, therefore we sometimes listen to remote musicians that we THINK are 'big' (because they are getting air play) but aren't necessarily compared to the USA markets. (was that unclear enough for you guys??? David Bradstreet enjoy!
  13. Forgot about this guy... GUITAR MAN EXTRORDINAIRE... I"d like to take full credit.. but no can do... Mr. Socks from GSworld introduced me to him and I've never looked back since!Monte Montgomery... and for any of you SRV fans out there... "LITTLE WINGS"

  15. Mr. Music Man, You're here!!! Did you see the Leahy tunes I posted and pics too?? ;)
  16. Sky, Wonderful thread! Since finding GS and seeing the corruption in these men, I have always believed that even though PFAL seemed to teach a few good things... NEW BIRTH... and such... the rest wether they it was 'accurate' or not, had to be Bull-kaka (darn thing...can't write what I'd REALLY like to say here... but I think you get my point). How could it hold any water when the guy teaching was a thief himself, robbing people of their time, money and dignity.
  17. Interesting visuals there Dooj! Glad you enjoy my pics... I was wondering if anyone had viewed them or not... Thanks for taking a peek.
