songs remembered from just one line

Trevor you may use any line from the song, not necessarily the first line. It just has to familiar and received enough radio time to be recognized.

Ideally the first line is the most recognized. and that's how this game thread is supposed to be played. Make it easy for the players to guess what song it is from a most obvious clue. (Some times if it is not the first line people will point that out to help with any questions they may have). Added just for clarity. :biglaugh:

Your song is Bob Dylan Love Minus Zero/ No Limit

Now that's a good line TH.

From bulwinkl's first post in this thread:

"after perusing Name that tune topic I started thinking of songs that we remember from the first line. title not in first line. since it's my topic I'll go first."

So, yes, it should be the first line (unless the title is in the first line). And it should be easy for most people to get. More challenging tunes should be reserved for "Name That Tune."

That's kinda weird cause I had already decided that the next time I got a turn, I was going to use an Elton John song. :-)

Okay, how about this instead?

Mama, just killed a man, put my gun against his head, pulled my trigger now he's dead.

Btw, thanks for posting Band on the Run SS. That was one of my favorite songs in Junior high school. I sang it for hours. For some reason, my wife is in a bad mood today. Can't figure that one out....

Oh, my! I really DO feel old now.

In 1973 I was in 9th grade, one year removed from junior high. Yes, I'm old.

In the chilly hours and minutes of uncertainty I want to be in the warm hold of your loving mind.

Is it Dylan or Springsteen, by any chance?
