cman
We, myself included, were serving the way, giving them allegiance and obedience. Why? We were trained to, mostly in 'how to receive' I believe. And the bogus teachings of forgiveness and fellowship with and from, what they referred to as God. But in reality, whether it was direct acknowledging or in the back of our minds. God was the ultimate Santa Claus, giving to those who "knew" how to receive or were in "alignment and harmony". Along with the rest of the bs that went with that framework set in pfal and more class after class. My observation and reflection when I think about it sometimes. But I don't think about it much any more, thankfully.
waysider
I won't go as far as to say it was the ultimate scam......but, it was a pretty darn good one.
OldSkool
I won't go as far as to say it was the ultimate scam......but, it was a pretty darn good one. Ya, had me convinced it was for a noble cause. At least for a little while anyways.
excathedra
guilt has always worked on me - no difference with "the way" - i don't care how pretty they tried to make it look
cman
yeah, guilt, that's a sucky feeling I told my brother the other day he wasn't doing anything wrong. And it lifted a heavy burden off his shoulders. The subject didn't come up, but I felt he needed to hear it, and he did need to. There is a secret, and it is in forgiveness, but not how we were taught in twi. You already are forgiven. Even all the stupid stuff and mistakes we made. And you don't have to do anything to get it. You already have it. Edited July 2, 2012 by cman
