I've heard of most of these movies, but I've only seen "There's Something About Mary" and "Step Brothers." I have no idea who is in the others.

He's not a major player in any of these films. He's a supporting actor. Many times plays a father figure as in There's Something About Mary or Rumor Has It, or he plays a bit of a socially bumbling almost recluse guy, like he did in Burn After Reading and The Shape of Water.
