This is the age of machinery
A mechanical nightmare
The wonderful world of technology
Napalm, hydrogen bombs, biological warfare
You keep all your smart modern writers
Give me William Shakespeare
You keep all your smart modern painters
I'll take Rembrandt, Titian, Da Vinci and Gainsborough
Girl we gotta get out of here
We gotta find a solution
I just figured somebody would have an idea by now. Here's some more.
This is the age of machinery

Napalm, hydrogen bombs, biological warfare
My mama said she can't understand me
She can't see my motivation
Just give me some security
I'm a paranoid schizoid product ................

Girl, we gotta get out of here
We gotta find a solution
.................................. but I don't want, I don't want to be here
I was born in a welfare state
Ruled by bureaucracy
Controlled by civil servants
And people dressed in grey
Got no privacy, got no liberty
Don't want to get myself shot down
By some trigger happy policeman
Gotta keep a hold on my sanity

So, I am going to put up something that was from an album that reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 from 1999. The song reached #17 on the Billboard's Rock tracks. The artist, in my opinion, has never been fully embraced by mainstream media as far his entire catalog is concerned. Known for their many hits and at least two Greatest Hits albums to their credit, most of this bands music hasn't featured that much on national mainstream radio. Their hits have and are only played on the radio, but not so much their multi-layered music catalog. So, I'm putting this song up to see if it gets any bites, but if it doesn't I won't keep it up for very long.
Well, she was standing by the highway
In her boots and silver spurs
Gonna hitchhike to the yellow moon
When a Cadillac stopped for her
And she said, "Hey, nice to meet you, are you goin' my way?"
Yeah, that's when it happened
The world caught fire that day
Based on the specific level of confusion, I can say the following.
1) I have not heard this album. 2) I have not heard this song. 3) I have heard this style somewhere, so I probably am at least a little familiar with the artist in question.
That's as far as I can get, and I might be very wrong- could be the Killers or the Verve Pipe or something.

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig
