Yes, Ella did a great rendition of it - I believe Nat Cole also did it justice. I'm a big Ella fan - but it's sorta my "Towanda" music - if I'm in a bad mood and have already opened a bottle of wine before hubby gets home, and he hears Ella playing, he knows he's in the dawg house! (It's not a frequent occurance.)

Ashes to Ashes (We All Fall Down) - Grateful Dead

That's from the Touch of Grey album - good album! Probably one of my more fav Dead albums, although it's the more mainstream of all of them.

And the biggest commercial success.

The next album, "Without a Net", was a LOT less successful.

Correct-although the correct title of the song is "Throwing Stones".

(Long song, too-I was prepared to post a LOT of quotes.)
