Do you have a quiche recipe already?

Country Quiche

1 (9-inch) baked pie shell*

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup chopped green pepper

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup (2 oz.) diced cooked lean ham or turkey ham **

1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded, Cheddar cheese

6 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt, optional

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Onion slices separated into rings, optional

Green onion curls, optional

In small skillet over medium heat, cook celery, pepper, and onion in butter until tender

but not brown, about 6 minutes. Sprinkle vegetables, ham, and cheese into pie shell.

Beat together eggs, milk, salt, if desired, and paprika until well blended. Pour over

vegetable mixture.

Bake preheated 375 º F oven until knife inserted near center comes out clean, about 30

to 40 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Garnish with onion rings and onion curls, if desired.

*If frozen use deep-dish style.

**You can make this recipe with all different ingredients, my favorite is garlic sausage and mushroom

Sure Chef, here's my sausage gravy n bisquit recipe:

2 lbs Bob Evans original recipe sausage

milk

sour cream

McCormick Country Gravy mix

Cumin

Cayenne

Freshly ground black pepper

Kosher salt

Brown sausage in pan until mostly done. Put in blender, a bit at a time with some milk to chop up the pieces of sausage to a uniform size (I use milk in the blender cuz it helps move all the sausage through and doesn't leave big lumps). Put back in pan, add milk until it looks like the right consistency.

Sprinkle in the gravy mix a bit at a time and stir it completely in. Add 1 lb of sour cream and stir it in.

Add about 1/2 - 1 tsp of cumin, a dash or two of garlic powder, a dash or two of cayenne, and freshly ground pepper and kosher salt to taste. Stir occasionally until all mixed together and simmer on low until hot.

For the bisquits I usually make them from Bisquik, but any refrigerator bisquits work, too.

Enjoy!

This is my mom's recipe for Sticky Buns (aka Monkey Bread). She's known as "The Sticky Bun Lady" in town because she brings them everywhere she goes. Her license plate even says "STKY BNS". I try not to ride with her much. icon_biggrin.gif:D-->

When she's visiting where kids will be or if kids visit her house, she takes her homemade "Sticky Bun Kit" and teaches the kids how to make them. They are very good!

Sticky Buns

2 pkg biscuits (10/pkg)

1 cup brown sugar

1 stick margarine

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Melt margarine & brown sugar in a 2 cup glass measuring cup (or just a glass bowl) in microwave for about 2 minutes.

3. Cut biscuits in fourths with kitchen scissors.

4. Mix about 1 cup powdered sugar (can use granulated, but powered sugar sticks to the biscuits best).

5. Shake cut biscuits in airtight container (tupperware bowl with lid or zip lock bag).

6. Spray bundt cake pan or just a two qt. casserole dish with non-stick spray.

7. Layer biscuits, pecans, raisins, cranberries ending with a layer of biscuits last.

8. Pour melted margarine/brown sugar over biscuits in pan.

9. Bake at 350 for about 22 minutes.

10. Take out of the oven and let "set-up" for about 2-3 minutes. Invert pan/casserole dish on a plate and let that "set-up" for a minute before you take the hot dish off. (This makes them beautiful!)

Groucho, I had a Mexican Egg McMuffin on my trip to Mexico. It was really good! Who'd a thunk refried beans and salsa would be good on a McMuffin? icon_biggrin.gif:D-->

I make "egglettes": sautee bell peppers of all colors and some onion then break the eggs on top of them and scramble it all together. Cover with shredded cheese and salsa. Yum!!

I make my own Egg McMuffin at home most mornings.

Sausage Balls? They smell sooooo good when baking and they're good "portable" food. I take them to dog shows and competitions. If you want a recipe for that I'll be happy to share mine.

OK...right thread this time. I hope...

Baked Oatmeal (serves 4)

Preheat oven to 350

Mix well:

1/2c oil; 2/3c brown sugar (not packed); 2 eggs

Add: 1.5 c quick oatmeal; 1.5c old fashioned oatmeal; 2tsp baking powder; 1c milk; 1/2c raisins or chopped apple (or both if you like); 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Mix all together. Spray a 2 qt casserole dish. Place mixture in a casserole dish. Bake @ 350 about 45 minutes. Should be brown on top and crumbly.

I experiment with other fruits and nuts when I make this. I love walnuts in my oatmeal. Instead of cinnamon somethimes, I add ~ tsp of vanilla or coconut flavoring. I make it with soy milk instead of dairy. Eight Continent vanilla is my favorite.
