I think fortunateone a I are tied. I was in for 30years. Didn't leave until 2003. I'm not proud of it. I still don't understand why it took me so long to realize how downhill the ministry had gone. I guess I thought I was being committed through thick and thin. I guess my thick skull won out.

I don't know much but what I do know is that he hurt some wonderful believers. I worked with one of them to help them put their life back togehter. May he get off that aweful pedestal he has been put on. May God forgive him.

I have found that the most loving people don't go to church. There are plenty of them out there. You have a wonderful heart. God will put people around you that will give you what you need.

I think you have to try getting out of churches for a while to really see what is gong on with them. I am not saying they are wrong but couldn't God bless you just because you believe him. You could have good friends that you could share your love with just as much as in any church. You can get all the answers you need in a good circle of friends who love you and with the believers who share their lives in book form such as the one you mentioned. My regards.

I was in the 11 corps. My name is Ed (Canadian). Even though there were many screw ups I'm thankful for any friends that I made. My biggest regret was that I didn't keep in touch. If I hurt anyone, I give my deepest apology and I would love the chance to apologize personaly to anyone who wants one. You Americans are the greatest people on earch and I truly enjoyed being there. Please, I think that this phrase has been used to control people. Jesus Christ does not live in our time. We cannot possbily live like he did. It would be better to say. What in love like Christ did. But spare me your religious plattitudes. I don't want to hear this phrase again.

What does the phrase "our religious service" from Romans 12 realy mean. It's not talking about sacrificeing our time to go to ritualistic meetings, or going to classis over and over, or going to the same meeting over and over with the same peole. It's how we think. God wants us to live in love that's all. Wouldn't God want us to enjoy the one life we have with all the variety we can get. Then we could love others. Life life and enjoy it with those you love, your family. That I believe my freinds is our duty.
