  1. Elena's book is up to $41.00 with 58 minutes to go.
  2. Hey, Catcup, thanks for telling me about that. I had not sold anything on ebay since December, so I am kinda rusty. Anyway, I have a minimum bid on the 1979 binder so he will have to go ahead and pay me for the 1985. Thank you again for your words of wisdom, Catcup and others!!
  3. You are right, for sure, Catcup. He wants me to give him a discount on what I have listed. Not anything under the table. I would not do that. But thanks for the warning, as I haven't done a whole lot on ebay.
  4. Cool thread, socks!! My parents owned a small grocery store as I was growing up. Our house was attached to it. Counting our parents, there were 10 people to feed, so having a grocery store was great in a number of ways!!! My dad was reknown in the area for his sausage and smoked meats that he did. In fact, sometimes when I tell people who I am and who my dad is, they will mention that awesome meat that dad had in the store. I was 10 when we moved 'to the country' so I don't remember alot of things that the older ones do, such as working in the store every afternoon after school and all summer long!!! I do remember shucking corn in the back area of the store. Anyway, thanks for bringing back some memories of my childhood.
  5. I have 5 people watching Order My Steps in Thy Word!!! And the minimum bid of $5.95. SIGNED copy....yippee!!! I have 2 watching my way mag binder for 1979, The guy who bought my other mags wants the 1979 but wants me to cut him a deal. I told him I would discount the shipping, that is all.
  6. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Exc, I had a great birthday. Did I see a picture of you in my 1977 or 1985 mags??? You can plead the 5th if you wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Years ago, I was told: LEFT IS RIGHT AND RIGHT IS WRONG!! In other words, you are straight, it goes in left ear, if you are gay, it goes in right ear. That is how I have remembered it since then... Ok, back on topic now!!!!!!!!!! Ex, we were posting at the same time.
  8. I too am sorry for your loss. I replied to you in the thread about what we do for relaxing where we both posted about knitting. Anyway, welcome back. Maybe we can share knitting patterns or something!!!
  9. Hey Y'all, I just had a 'buy it now' for $49.95 for my 1985 magazines in The Way Magazine binder!!!! Is that cool or what???????!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. It would be interesting to find out, lovematters. Try it. I just listed The Way Magazines 1985 with binder and Order MSITW, signed by de man. Waysider, boohoo.... I have no idea what this stuff or the Heart mags will go for. Don't cry too hard yet!! Edited to add comment to Waysider.
  11. Thanks for all the comments, etc. Topoftheworld, I would be glad to walk you thru setting up on ebay. Just pm me if you want. I think the first thing I will list is 6 issues of The Way Magazine 1985 with The Way Magazine binder. This was the year vp died, AOS premiered!!! And the statue of Timothy is in here also. Plus a pic of the Northeast TC's riding Air Force One, oh sorry, wrong plane, to HQ. I think Cool Chef mentioned going to HQ on de plane. He may be in the picture. Anyway, I will let you all know how it goes. Groucho, I am selling mine 'cause with GS it is only a matter of time before we convert all the vp worshippers to another way of thinking, then they won't want to pay big bucks for our stuff!!! Just a thought.
  12. I have been thinking of listing some old stuff on ebay, so I have been watching a few items. I was surprised to see Elena's book is now at $31.00. 10 albums went for $51.00 a few days ago. Takit, Joyful Noise, and more were listed. I haven't sold anything on ebay since December but I am going to pull that box back out of my dressing room!!!!!!!!! Will let you know how it goes if anyone is interested. <_<
  13. I buy generic half and half for my coffee and milk if it is cheaper than the brand name. Most things, though, I buy the brand name groceries. I also check the labels and find that lots of generics have more sodium and bad things than brand names, though not always, especially tomato sauce, etc. This time of year, family supplies us with fresh veggies from the garden. That is absolutely the best!!! Anyway, excathedra, my advise is to read the labels and compare ingredients.
  14. Thanks to all of you for your sweet words, graphics, songs, etc!!! Love the Jaguar logo, dmiller and I love my car. I had a wonderful birthday. Got to hear the band perform some between rain showers, but we left before Kerry was honored due to the rain. It was still fun. Thanks again. You made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Happy Shared 51st Birthday!!! We survived being 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope your day and year is superb!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Oh my, you all are wonderful. Thanks so much for the well wishes, etc. Started celebrating yesterday. Sis took me to lunch. Last nite, 2 couples joined us at Chee$eburger in Paradi$e for dinner and entertainment by my favorite local entertainer. Friend Judy and I have been following him for about 30 years. His wife was there last nite and lots of others who follow him. I told his wife how much Judy and I loved her husband!!! She knows Judy pretty well, but has only met me a few times since I lived away for so long. Anyway, we had a blast. Keith sang Happy Birthday to me and the islander (wait person) brought me a scoop of ice cream with a candle on it. Tonite, hope we aren't too tired to see more local entertainment downtown at the park on the river. They are supposed to be a great band and I am looking forward to hearing them for the first time. Kerry Kur+ Phillip$, reknown sogwriter, will be honored tonite as he is from here, He wrote I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair, George Jones, She Let Herself Go, George Strait, several songs by Joe Diffie, etc.
  17. Dave, What a great thing to do for and with Loren. I bet it was kinda strange, though, knocking on doors. Isn't it fun that we can do things that we enjoy and help people at the same time? Give Loren my thanks for helping out in his special way.
  18. Welcome, DrWW, and thanks for laying it on the line!!! I do hope that you still have that peace.
  19. Welcome, ophelia!!! No, I have not seen the square needles. I go to a knitting circle every Tuesday. We knit, talk, drink coffee, and then eat lunch together. My birthday is Friday so I bet that they will 'surprise' with me a card and one of my good friends (I met there) will probably do something special for me tomorrow. Even if they don't, it is still fun and relaxing to sit around and talk and enjoy each other's company with NO ulterior motive!!!!!!! We also have a new yarn store in town, so I will check them out. Yes, I love to give my scarfs, dishcloths, booties, baby blankets, etc away. People love them!! I am knitting socks for the first time ever. They are a challenge to me, but I am almost done with the first one.
  20. Happy 50th Birthday, BikerBabe!!!! It is not so bad.heehee.. I turned 50 last year. Enjoy yourself and be good to yourself, today and always.
  21. Happy Belated 50th birthday, OutThere!!! I hit it last year. I enjoy your posts and admire your physical abilities!!! Wish I had gone to the gym 3 times a week instead of twig!!!!!!!!!!!

    LEAD

    Hello, Kathy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. dmiller, IMO, you hit the nail on the head. Even though I learned to respect authority at home, I was bombarded with it at twi. I rebelled some when I moved out of my parents' home, but not much. HOWEVER, it took me a long time to realize that I could respect authority and still stand up for myself (at work). It took even longer for me to do that with twi. I finally stood up to a creep of a boss and we had a good relationship, for the most part, after that. He even came to our car wash after the trucking company that we worked for moved. I loved taking his money. I wanted to charge him double. Anyway, it was a few years after that, that I walked about from twi. I question alot of what was taught in piffle. I still believe mostly what I was taught as a child. It took me YEARS to realize that I was afraid that something bad would happen to me when I left. I walked away from twi in 1994 and have not looked back. The ONLY bad thing that has happened in my life in all those years was my brother getting killed in a truck accident. The rest of my life has been so much greater than I ever dreamed while in twi. They spewed about the more abundant life....what a joke..... I have an abundant life NO THANKS to them or ANYTHING they taught. Sorry if this is somewhat off topic.
  24. Beautiful EVERYTHING!!
  25. And to think that there are people who would go back to this nightmare if twi would just apologize for a little wrongdoing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes my skin crawl. Makes me real thankful that I never wanted to go to the Way Corps even with people telling me that I should. I hope that forgiveness has been asked by certain ones or they will have a day of reckoning!!!!!!!!!
